10:58pm: LOL, not really, but it's still a Hell of a coincidence! I was just wondering yesterday if there'd ever be an update for The Simpsons: Tapped Out game that would allow players to build the monorail and what should happen today? An update that does just that! Man, if I only I could actually predict things that are useful. :OP

Apart from that, there's not much to report about today, it was run of the mill. Although I am rather concerned that I've got some follicle infection thing going on in my armpit area...there's a sore spot and I think it's a bit red and the spot might even be hard... I'm not sure what to do. I think I have some tea tree oil around, but actually on second thought I think it might just be foot powder. Shiiiit.

Anyway, I was supposed to get to bed earlier today (a kiss of death remark to be sure!) because as mentioned I've been building up a sleep deficient and that's no good at all! I'm a bit worried it's impacted on my work a bit, I managed to make Mrs S a cold cup of coffee today! How does that even happen? I must have heated the water up somewhat otherwise the coffee grounds wouldn't have dissolved, right? However, it was pretty embarrassing! Come on, me, get it together!

I did at least have my head on straight enough to make lasagna tonight, it was most delicious and hooray! Good food for the next few days. :O)

And now I have to go bed! Ahem apologies for the short entry syndrome!

11:44pm: And not just in terms of the NaNo, which I'm sorry to say I didn't reach even the 1,667 daily target (although since I'm running behind I really should be doing more!) but I'm kind of out of time, I shall have to make up the words later.

Right now there's an episode of The Simpsons I've never seen before! Must be the newer seasons that I don't get much of a chance to watch because Channel 10 doesn't put the show on anymore in a regular manner.

But that was distracting from the reason for my subject heading and that reason was, despite the late start to TAFE today, I in typical Moose style managed to miss the buses that would get me there in time and I was a whole 20 minutes late. Fail!

On the plus side I don't think I even missed that much, but still how damn annoying, I tried to get help from my mother who doesn't work on Monday, but alas no luck there. I really should look into how long it actually takes me to walk to the other bus stop because I don't actually know and as it turned out I was off by about two or three minutes.

Speaking of two or three minutes, it's almost midnight so time for me to haul ass to bed! And...here's the word count:

9:53pm: That really should detract from the plot, but it does, because seriously? Lynley looks like John Travolta in Grease and his off-sider looks totally wrong with long hair.

Anyway, I'm sitting here in the apartment not sure what to do with myself, I had a lazy start to the day, my alarm went off at 8am but I turned it off and fell back to sleep, not getting up until 10am. It was 1pm before I'd gotten off my butt and showered and dressed.

I decided to go to the Marrickville Metro, where another Aldi is located, so I could buy some more fabric softner, since I lost more than half of mine when the bottle fell off the washing machine last night. While there I discovered they did release a pop out box head version of The Simpsons Season 16 box set! I thought they hadn't so I've put off buying it since I don't need to get a limited edition one, but now I do! It was at a Sanity shop though (man, I didn't know that place was still in business) for which I have no gift cards and it was like $50 so I refrained from buying it. I looked up the JB Hi-Fi website which says they've got it in stock, so I have to go to the one at the City Westfield to use my gift card on that.

In terms of job finding, there wasn't a lot of luck there, boo. I did hand my resume into one place, but yeah...And when I got home there was a letter from one of the places I applied to saying "No dice" (which is the first time in a while that's happened! Usually they don't bother to write back to you at all, rude!) This has reminded me that I've got two jobs I should apply for! Especially the one at the ABC, fingers crossed, fingers crossed!

The Writer's Group is back on! So I headed out this evening and for about an hour and a quarter it was great! I was just tapping away really getting some good words out, then unfortunately some loud and dare I say, drunken patrons came in and started making a whole lot of noise at the dart board and pool table on the other side of the mezzanine level complete with cursing. Eventually, I decided to go, although while I was waiting for the bus the drunken patrons left, and walked passed and for reasons unknown the lady decided to flash everyone...I think she was trying to show the garbage man her tattoo. Suffice to say, ewww that's a sigte I could have done without. I'm thinking I might go to the new meeting day on Tuesday which is taking place at Gloria Jeans, less chance of loud drunks and objectible loud music.

In other news, still no luck on finding nice casual sandals, I may have to go online after all to purchase them, the one I lost was really comfortable soft leather as I said, and they just don't seem to have those. In fact, most sandals seem either too high or too low. What's up with that?

I also discovered something odd the other day...my waist measurement has gone down - by like a centimetre but still down - while my hips - and butt! - have gone up 3 centimetres. What's up with that? I guess if I'm not careful I'll end up with a big caboose. Which wouldn't be a problem, but it does mean the skirt of that nice suit I got from the Salvo's doesn't sit properly anymore. This is most irritating. Although I seem to have problems with skirts anyway, they like to twist around on my person, what's up with that?

And lastly - because I should get back to those cover letters - my Hill Valley in Sim City is a knife edge, power-wise (crossover_chick will be interested to hear this!) with 0 extra watts being produced. Unfortunately, I'm also running out of money, I had to take all these loans so I can't even get anymore dough! Also...I mentioned I accidentally made this an open region and the other people who claimed cities there haven't played in weeks, so I can't make cities with big power plants and stuff to help myself out. Hmpf!

Right gotta write cover letters, concentrate me! Concentrate!

9:31pm: So I forgot that the new episodes of The Simpsons were on tonight so I missed it! Damn! I totally suck at keeping up with that! :O( Instead I was watching my Forensic Investigators DVD. Interesting stuff though.

In other news, today was pretty gross, first of all, during morning tea the people in the office got to talking about throwing up - which you know I don't need to know.

But far worse than that was in the afternoon the boss had to clean the septic tank (I knoooow) and he made me and my co-worker come out to see how to turn the pump on and off (which I suppose is fair enough since we work out of his house and all). I for one did not want to know because the smell...GROSS! I'm surprised I managed to have dinner tonight!

But, today also heralded a job opportunity! A Library Assistant job! One that only requires a drivers licence and a HSC! None of this tertiary qualifications crap. I must apply! The job is on the north side and quite a bit further over that side than my current job, but still! Cross your fingers and toes for me.

5:07pm: So I've been away from home and my laptop for about two days, which is by no means the longest I've been away from said laptop, but for some reason the screen, which has been not working due to a backlighting problem for some three months has suddenly resurrected itself! How does that even work? Now there have been a few times when it has worked for like five minutes, but its been three hours and counting now. Seriously, what's all that about?

Anyway, in other news, I may have failed in my sneaky bid to buy The Simpsons 2008 Trivial Calendar at half price (which is what happens to 2008 calendars in the new year), but alas the calendar place at Broadway was all sold out! And there was no sign of it anywhere else in the shopping centre. What an ass! I thought about going to the City Centre Dymocks, but I don't know if I can be arsed. Plus I think I'm supposed to be going to the city tomorrow...Here's hoping the last one isn't sold while I'm sitting on my ass here.

Also, I had a headache, I swear I'm starting to develop PMS or something, I've noticed the past couple of months I've felt quite crappy the week before.

Well damn me I'm watching the news here and Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys fame is down here preparing for some concerts and he was in Hyde Park today! If I'd known I totally would have gone there...my mother says I should go the concert, but I really don't like concerts, I find them confining and I get claustophobic. But it looks like he might be doing something at the (free) Sydney Festival! I should check it out. Besides, free means no pressure, if I pay for something I feel like I have to go to it, which adds to the claustophobic feeling.

But now I'm bored...or sleepy...if it's the latter that's weird because I got about eight hours of sleep last night I'm sure.

Today I went into work for a couple of hours and got a huge shock when I discovered a number of bills had not been paid! You think my co-workers might have noticed, not that I blame them, but I figured they would have said something! Maybe that's to my benefit and no-one will notice I paid them late (no overdue fees and the like).

Well, that's all I gotta say right now, I gotta get my washing out of the machine now.

5:59pm: I figure I'll take the Boss's advice tonight to "Just do it!" and go to The Simpsons Movie, tomorrow's the last day and tonight is Cheapskate Tuesday...and I can just scrape together $9 for it.

I'm totally pissed off at my right eye though, atsome point during last week I must have gone and caused an inflamation. A few hours ago I was blinking my eyes as you do and it just started stinging like all Hell. And it still is. At first I couldn't see anything, but I've noticed there appears to be a lump, fuuuck. I've had this happen to me once before, it's a complete and total pain in the arse. I need to buy a wash cloth though, because the way to eases the pain is to put a warm one over your eye, but I don't have a wash cloth.

The President of the US is arriving this evening at 10pm, this better not fuck around with the traffic on the way home from the movie, I want to get to bed at a proper hour. Did you know he's bringing 300 Secret Service personnel? Seriously, that's nuts, he doesn't bring that many people with him when he goes around the place does he?

And I don't like the sound of all this 'leave your car at home' and 'catch public transport' stuff, I'm required to bring my car and to be honest considering the bus route I have to take goes through the city anyway, I'm still not seeing how that would be any better.

1:06pm: Today is Strove Tuesday, Pancake Day and damn if I am not allowed any, firstly because pancakes have milk in them and secondly because they're too sugary. I hate missing out on Pancake Day! It's the only day that I really remember how much I like pancakes and get off my ass to have them.

Sigh! Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and luckily I have a church just down the road, so at least I won't forget to do that.

Also, I should give up something for Lent and save the money to give to Project Compassion... I suppose I could give up cheese since I'm not to eat dairy for two weeks. But I'm a bit concerned about doing that, I mean, what if my body gets unused to cheese and when I eat it things go to Hell? This may well indicate man was not meant to eat cheese, but damnit it's so sweet and tasty!

Funny I should write that I've just seen a post for The Simpsons Movie! Oooh it looks good! But I'm pretty sure it's release date is the same day as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, oh snap! Well, it's not inconcievable to do both, but once I get HP I want to read it right away! Besides people at the theatre might have read the last chapter (people do that) and might totally spoil it for me if I go. Stuff that.

Well, there's always the next day for the Movie. :O)

The Queen Mary II has arrived in the harbour, and this evening the Queen Elizabeth II will arrive, I really do want to see this and one of my friend's friend's says he lives somewhere that'll have a primo view. But I don't really know the guy...I guess I should call said friend and see if they're going.

Ok, just down that, unfortunately she's busy so she can't go, so I don't really want to go to some guy I don't really know's place. But checking out Google Maps one should be able to see it all from the Bridge. Although, I bet everyone else will know that too, so what time should go? I guess I could just take my books and pencil for entertainment value...Either way I want to bring my camera, if I can find it, this room really is messy. Must also make sure the batteries are charged up.

Damn, I called up and finally got through to Universal Australiasia to ask about the missing BTTF III DVD and they didn't sound very hopeful at all about it...This means my set will be incomplete forever! That's total BS! Sigh, I shouldn't have sent it through the mail...then again, I did send both Part II and III from the originally released box set and it went fine. Here's hoping it's misplaced or something...

Anywho, I've got to clean up this place so I can find my camera, also call and see if there's any work this week.

Either way Dad's gonna spray it with some cleaning stuff tonight, so hopefully it'll come out tomorrow, and then I can do some more vacuuming and Mum won't threw me out of my ass, because God damnit this whole week Seek.com has sent me one job! :Oo This sucks!

Hmmm...just a few minutes ago I came across an LJ entry that has confused me regarding today's date, I can't for the life of me remember what date I wrote on the newspapers when I sorted them today. I think I must have put the 26th on them. Do'h! I hate when I write the wrong thing, 'cause then I have to go over them all and change the dates, also it probably makes me look a little dumb. I can't count I tells you!

Right now I'm watching the news, Tony Abbot is on standing in front of some banner that appears to be a new campaign about STDs...frankly it always cracks me up that while Tony Abbott was in Uni he considered being a priest. At the same time he had a girlfriend who he was having sex with...and refused to use protection because "that would go against the Vatican teaching." What the-? Hello, HELLO Mr. Abbott, you miss the bit in the Bible about not having sex outside marriage? Hellooooo?! Honestly, the things people pick and choose when it comes to faith.

In other news Mark Latham is bringing out a book about his unsuccessful time as the leader of the Labor Party, I must say that was quick! He only quit a few months ago! Was he planning it prior to leaving (after all he was laid up with the pancreatitis), or was he really pissed off and wrote up a storm. Then again, he probably didn't write it himself. Still pretty quick. Needless to say Big Kim isn't too happy about it, poor Big Kim, I like him, he seems to have gotten over his cold. Seriously the man has sounded very strange since he came bak as leader, but today he sounded like his old self.

Today I discovered a video of mine with some strange things on it, such as Ch. 9 news from years ago about the Iraq War and an SBS special on the Labour Party about what their policies and stuff were in the lead up to the election (I was gonna watch it to get informed). So yay, space for the new Mythbusters that's on SBS tonight, I'm so glad they brought the original narrator back, the dude they had for the showing of the series here in Aus didn't sound right at all!

In other news I purchased these really cool Simpsons figurines from Coles! Marge, Homer and Ned. I'm especially excited about having Ned, because my father looks just like him :O) I'm hoping to get the other ones including Bart, Lisa and Maggie, Rod and Todd and Raph! :O) Although at two bucks each it will acutally start to add up quite a bit. Eh, oh well.

I'm also rather distressed, my good black coat with my Mr. Knightly, Hornblower, Drop Bush Not Bombs and A Just Australia badges has gone missing! It cost me $100 and it's my favourite! But I can't find it anywhere! I'm really worried it's gone for ever, I'm going to call around the bus stations tomorrow and also my friend bookscorpion if I left it at her place. Pray to St. Andrew for its safe return.

I saw an ad this morning that is most shocking, this guy puts his spanner and motorcycle cover in the dishwasher to get them all sparkling (with the new Dishcleaning tablet things) and his wife discovers them and is most peeved, so she goes out to the garage to tell him off. And she whacks him on the head with the spanner! What the-?! That could have killed the guy! Seriously if the genders were changed people would be shocked and appalled. Honestly... what ever happened to the good old days when people would just bash the Hell out of things and not people? Porque!

And finally I've got my Sale of the Century Mojo back! :O) I won today by like thirty points! Hooray for Moose, but alas my poor social anxiety will never allow me any ability to cash in on this possible talent. Bummer.
