11:15pm: I neglected to mention in yesterday's entry about the work crisis I found myself in - we have some community libraries - they mostly run themselves, but one of them receives funds to buy books from the Council. I was put in charge of making the order from the selections they send to us and I'm meant to keep an eye on the budget. Well, I made sure that they didn't spend way too much on books, but in doing so I didn't really keep track of the budget even though I had a spreadsheet and it turned out they've underspent...by a fair amount and if that money isn't used up it disappears! D:

As you can imagine this is quite a fuck-up and I was panicking about what I was going to do about it, I talked with one my colleagues - or rather I blurted out all my worries and wondered if we could go and purchase books from the bookshop downstairs - which we used to do for them. As it happens we couldn't do that, but our library supplier does fortunately have a limited supply of books in their warehouse and they sent me a list which I've sent onto the person at the community library so they can select enough of them so the the budget is spent.

Phew, wipes brow. Hopefully this won't look too terrible on my performance review, fingers crossed!

Anywho, tomorrow I have the day off, however I did stay at my apartment so I need to move my butt tomorrow morning to make sure I get to the parental abode by 7:30 am to let the washing machine man in. Also, they're turning off the water in my apartment building tomorrow so even if the man comes early I'll be sticking around until it's back on.

On a final note I spoke to the parental units who are leaving Italy in 20 hours and heading for home - via Perth so they won't arrive back until Friday evening. So that's pretty exciting! :OD I have to see if my little bro wants to pick them up from Manly - although if he does I'm supposed to drive him home (since he's been using one of my parents cars while they've been away).

Right on that note, I better run!

11:24pm: As in aiming at stuff, I had two chances to get my George and Lorraine Miis to get married in Tomodachi Life and I messed up both of them! You have to play a mini-game to get the proposal to and wedding to actually happen, which is like a shooting game with hearts and since I'm not very co-ordinated I can't get past the last level of it. I wonder how many times I'm going to have to try it!
In other news, I had to buy a power adaptor for the Switch since it didn't actually come with one (one of my work colleagues thinks that means its stolen property, which I sure hope isn't the case because yikes...), it sure charges quickly which is great!

What's not so great is I think I'm still getting bitten by cockroaches because I'm still itchy! D: I'm thinking I'll take my anti-histamine in the morning rather than at night. The cream does work pretty well, but I can only use it twice a day, so when it wears off it sucks.

I was going to say something else, but I've forgotten what now - oh wait, on Wednesday I have the day off work because I have to be available to let the washing machine repairman in at my parents house. Problem is, I'm not sure I want to stay over there all by myself tomorrow night, it gets chilly there and all my stuff is here at my place. Thing is, the repair guy could show up at any time between 7:30 and 12pm (isn't that always the way, grumble, grumble) which means if I don't stay over there I'll have to get up pretty early in the morning.

Anyway, I better wrap it up here, I have to get to bed and I still need to put on the cream.

11:36pm: Good news! I forgot that I had some arrow points from a couple of my arrows that were broken beyond repair, which means I had points to replace the two I lost yesterday, hooray!

Despite the weather being damp, the tournament still went ahead, which was great! Especially the barbeque afterwards, one of the members of the club is French and made some very posh sausage sandwiches for us :O)

I also didn't finish on the last target this time! Which was a bit sad because the lucky loser prize was an archery target bucket hat, not to mention a small bit of money! Still, it's good to improve :O)

Apart from that not much to report, with the weather being rather crappy, I spent the rest of the day at home watching Dr Gluon on Twitch, he's been playing Paralives, the new life simulation game, it's in Early Access and looks really interesting! I wonder if I should purchase it...I have been buying a lot of games lately and there's only so many hours in the day.

I did at least do one thing, which was replace the elastic straps on a number of my masks which have become all un-elasticised after multiple wears. I am a bit worried that my sewing machine - which I bought second hand for like $25 many years ago - is starting to die, but it might just be the thread I'm using which admittedly isn't of the highest quality. I should check that out.

Now finally before I finish up...

The Friday Five

22/5/26

1. How long to you hope to live (to what age)? I often joke that I'd like to live to be 116 so I can ring in the new century, but that might be a bit too ambitious. I can't think of another age though...except definitely not any time soon!

2. Based on the lifespans of your grandparents and/or great-grandparents, what is your realistic lifespan? Well...Grandpa is alive at 95, although he hurt is hip and although he had surgery he's still recovering so isn't kicking yet. M lived to 91, I think? On Dad's side of the family his father died very young, but also had hemophilia :O(. I'm not actually sure when Grandma died...I know what year she did, but not her age...I think maybe she was in her mid-80s? Meanwhile Dad will turn 80 next year, which is scary to think about O.O So I guess maybe 90s?

3. What is the average lifespan of people in your country? I think the average age for women is 84? Goes to check - wait it's 85 now, well that's cool. But the average expectancy for men is 81! SO let's not think too hard about that O.o

4. At what age do you plan to retire (or did you retire)? Retire? Hahahaha. In all seriousness though, I have no idea...they do say it'll be really difficult to retire.

5. What are your plans for retirement? Beats me! I guess I'd like to go travelling? Hang out with friends, volunteer? Who knows!

Right, I gotta head off now, I need to put my skin cream on and take my anti-histamine, fortunately they're both work and the itchiness and swelling is going down. Huzzah!

11:43pm: Well, at least Tomodachi Life is worth the money! It's easy to spend simply ages crafting stuff and doing fun things will your Miis. Which reminds me, I need to see about moving my screenshots over to this laptop so I can share them with you all!

However, it's coming up on midnight so I better make this quick.

I had to help set up the field for archery this morning and it went mostly well...the person I was supposed to set up with wasn't able to come so I set up with the Archery Club President, who seems to feel I was a bit slow at times - which I was :OP - but it was all properly done in the end.

On the downside, after some adjustments to my bow last week so I the top limb wasn't as tight (and I was unable to pull it out), my settings have changed again and it took a while to figure it out, which meant my score at 40 metres were pretty terrible! Not to mention that in the end I had to get help getting the limb out anyway! Which is weird because I was able to remove it last week...I can only assume that something weird happened when I misfired an arrow. Or at least I hope so...

Also, two of my arrows have lost their points so now I need to look into getting more of them. It's a bit weird that two of them fell out on the same day though!

Now tomorrow there's a tournament and a barbeque, although I'm not sure how the weather is going to be - the forecast doesn't look so good. Hopefully I'll be able to go though, I'd hate to miss out on archery and sausages! :OP

11:17pm: Indeed, which required me leaving work early because my doc usually runs late - which he did so today - but he prescribed me a special cream for my itchy bites and advised I take some anti-histamines. I have been hesitant about that because while I do get allergies I usually find anti-histamines too much like they dry me out way too much. But I guess I'll have to risk it because otherwise I'm going to scratch my skin off!

Moving on from that, I didn't end up getting a physical copy of Tomodachi Life primarily because - wouldn't you know it - the Big W was sold out when I got there! I was going to ask at the Tech desk if it really was all gone, but apparently a new series of Pokemon cars or something were released today so despite the fact it was 10 minutes to 9am there was a line of 10 people there! I did try and get a price match at JB Hi-Fi, but unfortunately, they don't price match on stuff that's out of stock - which makes sense I guess.

Although, as it happens, the Nintendo people said I couldn't get a refund anyway so whatever... Anywho waiting to see the doctor gave me the time to get my island - Mooselandia going and as I write I currently have 6 Miis including BoxFort and Pam from Stardew who have fallen in love just like in Dr Gluon's game, which is pretty funny to me! Interestingly enough, while Alberta in my original game fell instantly in love with Jackson from Doc's Retro Rewind, in this one Jackson decided to be an ass. Oh well, I guess I'll create a Pete :OP

I also need to make some BTTF Miis I totally forgot to do that until just now, shakes head.

Speaking of shaking my head, I was going to do the Meme because it's up but I also have to get up early to help set up the archery field tomorrow, which means I should totally be in bed already! So I'll have to leave it to tomorrow, I'm sure you can all wait ;O)

10:34pm: About the bug bites, which remain itchy - although not constantly - and quite a few of them are looking worse for wear - they don't seem to be growing in size or anything, but still it seems very unusual, I've never had bites itch for this long...

So I looked up available appointments for my doctor and to my surprise he actually has an open appointment tomorrow - the only problem is...it's at 3:30pm and I'm pretty sure he always runs late. Also I don't actually know when I've got desk shifts tomorrow - although I'm pretty sure I do have some. So the question is, should I book the appointment now or wait until I get into work tomorrow?

Although writing all this has made me think I should totally make the appointment and if necessary swap shifts with someone. The only reason I'm hesitating is because I'm supposed to get a blood test for my iron levels, which i haven't done yet because he said to get it done at the end of the month. Having said that, I guess if you've gotta see a doc, you gotta see a doc.

And I guess I do need to because I haven't started this entry with the exciting news - my second hand Switch Lite arrived today! Somewhat annoyingly it arrived at 8:55am this morning when I was already at work - I did actually toy with the idea of popping home (I drove into work) at lunch to get it, but I decided it was better I didn't. But I definitely jumped on it when I got home! The good news is, it switches on, all the buttons and joysticks work, the bad news was the battery was almost dead, but it's charging slowly now. I have to wonder how long the battery will last though, I didn't actually think to ask about that, having said that it might be a good thing if the battery sucks though, because then I won't be tempted to take it everywhere and play it LOL.

I played the demo of Tomodachi Life, which I wasn't sure was worth it until I got to the bit where the shop pops up - and inside was a Box costume! I can make BoxFort! Hooray :OD

I'm not sure if I should have used the non-5G version of my internet though, I'm downloading the full game now and it's taking some time. I was surprised to discover that the Switch Lite can indeed take physical game cards, I thought it didn't, I could have bought the game in its physical form! (Which I think is cheaper, a quick Google search though seems to indicate they're not actually available anywhere close by).

Well, time is getting away so I gotta turn in now!

11:34pm: And I have to go to bed ASAP, but I also washed my hair and it's nowhere near dry yet, which means I'm gonna have to get the hairdryer out before I turn in.

Not much to report, I did drop off my Lite n Easy plastic bags and put out the boxes for tomorrow's pick up - originally I was going to drop my car back at my apartment, but my lack of time keeping got me, not to mention the three very large buses that were coming down the narrow street that the Retirement village my parents live in. I have no idea why they let cars park on both sides of the road because it's way too small.

As for tomorrow morning, well I plan to drive over in the morning before work - hence why I took a shower tonight - and I'm trying to figure out if I should leave the car parked there and put the Lite n Easy in my parents' fridge/freezer, or drive my car to work via the apartment and drop off the food or catch a bus. At any rate I can't park my car in the underground parking because of the cleaning that's going on tomorrow.

I'm also still following the Australia Post tracker in the hopes that my Switch Lite will arrive tomorrow, but it's possible I'll have to wait another day - to which I say boo.

Also, I was kind of busy today and forgot to check my phone so I didn't realise I'd missed a call from the people who installed my air conditioner - it's yearly service is due and they wanted to know if they could come by tomorrow. I hope the fact I didn't call back didn't make them think I wanted them to come over, because the place is messy again. However, I don't actually have any desk shifts tomorrow so I might have actually been able to get time off to come back here. As I said though, I don't really want them coming over, I might need to wait until the pest control people come - I'm kinda worried that when they go to open the air con there'll be cockroaches crawling around. I hope they aren't in there...

OK, I better go now so I can do my Duolingo and dry my hair!

11:33pm: My two new pairs of shoes have passed my podiatrist's inspection, which is very good news because they did cost me $400 altogether so if they hadn't that would have been a very expensive error on my account. The main issue is, as I think I've already mentioned is that I've got weak fingers so the tests I'm supposed to do don't work so well. Like I'm supposed to push at the heel and see if it gives way, but with my thumbs most heels don't give way.

Anywho, because of the podiatrist appointment I didn't go to the gym after work today as usual, I was planning to go on Thursday when I thought I had the closing shift, but instead it turns out I'm doing the closing shift tomorrow. This kind of messes with my plans...and I'm also still trying to figure out what to do with my car because it just so happens that the half-yearly underground parking spray clean is on for my level on Thursday. Which means I can't drive home from the parentals on Thursday morning before heading into work like I usually would, so I either have to drive the car to work or leave it there and then drive it home after work. Also it's going to be fully dark when I finish work tomorrow so I'm wondering if should take the car tomorrow...or maybe I should drive over to my parent's place tomorrow morning and just leave the car there for the duration instead (although I'm not sure I want to leave the Lite n Easy out all day - it's in a sealed container with dry ice, but)...

Ah the trails of being me :OP

In other news I realised that I forgot to watch my show this evening! By the time I remembered it was too late, booo, of course it's easy enough to catch up on so it's not that much of a disaster.

Anywho, before I head off, I need to catch up on...

The Friday Five

15/5/26

1. How often do you hear live music? Not often, especially since concerts are so expensive! Although if you're talking non-professional music I do hear that once a week usually when Dad plays the guitar at church. Although he and Mum are currently away so I haven't even heard it then! Other than that, sometimes a live music act will be playing at the club when we're having lunch or whatever.

2. What was your favorite live musical performance ever? Ooo that's a toughy...Back to the Future: The Musical which I saw just last year was absolutely incredible! On the other hand I really enjoyed The Corrs concerts I've seen...And I also saw Brian Wilson (of the Beach Boys fame) in concert too.

3. Do you play an instrument, or sing? Hahahaha, oh heck no, I have no musical ability whatsoever, Mum and Dad's talents in that area obviously skipped a generation.

4. Have you ever performed music onstage? See above, in fact I'm pretty sure if I did I'd be in contravention of the Geneva Accords.

5. Who is your favorite musician? Musicians - The Corrs! The actually did do a concert last year and I wonder if I should have gone to it, but it was like 100km from where I live so...

OK, I better dash, even though I'm starting late tomorrow I need to keep my sleep schedule on track!

10:31pm: I finally caved at after like five days of to-ing and fro-ing on the subject I purchased a Switch Lite, I'm not sure when it's going to show up, it's been posted from another state hopefully not long though!

In other news, the itchy bites are outta control, they're just so damn itchy! I even went to the pharmacist during lunch today to ask about them, she seemed to think they were mosquito bites, but it's autumn and while it has been unseasonably warm I'd have thought they'd all be dead by this time of year. Plus I haven't heard them and usually at night time whenever's there's a mosquito buzzing around you can hear it and it drives you nuts. So, I have to wonder if it's not cockroach bites or something and I'm having an allergic reaction to them or something. So yeah, that's fun... I tried to call the pest control people, but I wait too late and they were closed :O( I left a message but haven't heard back, which sucks. I guess I'll need to try again tomorrow.

In other news, I think I forget to mention that yesterday I found my Pusheen thermos, I left it behind at Archery! So that was a relief.

Ahem, I just had to step away for a bit because I got hiccups, which I also had last night, very displeasing. They've gone now, so good.

I did have something else I was going to say, but in typical Moose style I've forgotten what it was... Oh wait now I remember I did at least make sure to call the repair people who were set to come to my parents place tomorrow afternoon to fix the door of the washing machine (it keeps jamming). Instead they'll come next Wednesday - I'm taking that day off because I have a dentist appointment - which I had to move from last month because I forgot to ask for time off and by the time I remembered it was too late to get the time off.

Right, so I should be trying to fix my sleep schedule in which case I better wrap this up and head to bed.

11:14pm: Today's Archery shoot was a field shoot - which as I've previously noted is where the targets are set up a different distances and sometimes you shoot from inside the bushes or down a hill or up a hill. The targets are also different, they're black and yellow and it only goes up to 6 rather than 10.

Anyway, I decided to try the Blue Peg (there's three different pegs, yellow, blue and red - red is the hardest) which turned out to be rather over-ambitious. Since it was the first time I've done the Blue Peg I automatically got a PB as soon as I got an arrow on a target - however, it wasn't exactly a given I was going to manage to get on the target. So the fact I did was a small victory! On the way though, I also lost three arrows! The good news is, they were all found after the shoot and none of them were broken. Still, one usually doesn't lose three arrows in one shoot! Still I guess I had did have fun in the end.

ALthough, now that it's almost time for bed I'm itchy again! WTF, I was fine a couple of minutes ago...I wonder if I should go see my doctor about this, I mean it's pretty weird.

Anywho, I better get going, once again it's past what should be my bedtime and the work week calls again tomorrow.

11:17pm: Apparently that's a thing and I only seem to get itchy when I'm feeling stressed so maybe that's what's going on? I sure hope so...

What would I be stressed about though? Well, I'm still trying to figure out if I should buy a second hand Nintendo Switch Lite so I can play Tomodachi Life, thing is though...there is a way to play it, but in a way that makes me feel kind of guilty (i.e I ain't paying for it). On the other hand as previously stated I shouldn't be spending money willy-nilly. Also, do I really want a portable game console that I might take to work? It could be a disaster!

Anyway, it's late...so I better make this quick because Archery is on tomorrow - and the President of the Club really hates it when you're late. I would have made it on time today except I couldn't find my Pusheen thermos which I usually put cold water in for hydration while playing. I can't figure out where I could have put it, I did of course clean up a whole bunch of stuff when the furniture repair guy came by. I can't think where I could have put it though and I checked the usual spots. :O( A mystery indeed!

11:37pm: Yeah, I have no idea why, I did do two desk shifts today, but I think I'm doing better with the standing up these days, maybe I just stood oddly.

I also though I had more to write about, but be darned if I can remember what I was going say, hmmm, how weird. I also feel like I've forgotten something important, how annoying!

Oh wait, I just remembered, it's about Ghosts, the website I've been using to watch the episodes doesn't seem to be working any more and thus I've fallen behind :O( I'm pretty sure the season finale eps are coming up soon and if I can't figure out an alternative I'll miss out on all the fun. Booo.

The other thing I just remembered is that Mum sent me a message about taking a half day next Tuesday so I can go to the parental abode to let the washing machine repairman in. But that's quite short notice and work has been a bit funny about taking time off without a lot of notice, which is fair enough I guess. Also I'll be going to the parental abode the next night so I can pick up the Lite n Easy delivery the next day. Which gives me an idea, maybe I can move the time to the Thursday since I might be coming in late anyway depending on when the LnE delivery shows up. Although knowing repair people they might no show up until the last second, which would be irritating.

Speaking of irritating, I hope it's not bug related...which reminds me of yet another thing, I forgot to call up the Pest Control people today because I forgot to take note of their phone number...

11:30pm: Haha no, not really...but he's been playing the latest Switch game on his stream Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and it looks so fun! I keep being tempted to buy a second hand Switch so I can buy the game. This is a bad idea for many reasons, firstly, I don't need another game to get addicted to. Secondly, even a second hand Switch is pretty expensive, not to mention the game also costs a bit (about $75!) and I'm trying to pay off my mortgage!

In other news, the damn bug problem in my house continues unabated. Which truly sucks, because I cleaned up my kitchen, sprayed cockroach killing spray in the hole I think they're coming from (it's a hole that's supposed to be there, cables go through it) and even put out some of the Cockroach Killer Spray - they seemed to decrease in number a few days back, but now the horrible things are back. I guess I should call the pest control people who sprayed the apartment many years ago, whatever stuff they used really worked. Although it was also part of treating the whole building, so it might not be that effective this time.

In other news, not much to report, speaking of reports though I did start writing up the one I need to do for work. It's about whether we should keep being a part of this program from our library supplier. I've been keeping some stats on it, so we'll have to see what the data says.

11:09pm: I have no idea! I guess it wasn't super important in that case...although I once again had to move stuff off my gaming laptop so I could download the new update for The Sims 4. Which is annoying, but what can you do? I don't really think I should get a new laptop when this one still works quite well (when it's not running out of space!) and because it's a gaming laptop it has an excellent graphics card, I imagine it'd be expensive to get a new laptop with an equivalent card. Especially since computer chips are getting really expensive these days - or at least that's what I've heard.

Anyway, I'm trying to pay off a mortgage so I shouldn't be making over the top purchases :OP

Not much else to report aside from that, plus it's getting late I'm supposed to fixing my sleep schedule after all! So on that note, I shall be off.

10:34pm: Yes! The Couch Repair man came and I was able to leave work and come and meet him here, where he reattached the couch springs, so I am now sitting in my proper spot as I type this out.

As mentioned I was curious as to how he'd get to the springs given that the zipper only opens a little bit, but he had an industrial-sized staple remover (the fabric that covers the bottom of the couch is kept in place by these heavy duty staples) and took them out to pull back the fabric to get in there. As it happens, the couch springs are kept in place by plastic things, which was a surprise to me! He replaced the two broken ones with metal ones so they should be secure, I just have to make sure I sit on my couch carefully rather than flop down, LOL.

Once he did that he stapled the fabric cover back into place and it was fixed, huzzah! :OD

In less pleasant news, later in the afternoon once I went back to work and just before I headed to the gym I started getting a headache and alas by the time I got home it was really quite bad. I took some ibprofen for it but it seemed to take a while to kick in - although the headache's gone away now thankfully, but I'm super sleepy now. 11:31pm: "Are you available tomorrow? We can do (thing)".

That's the message I got from the couch repair guy after work tonight, and first of all, it's really short notice but I think I'll be able to get the time off to come back home and let him in.

Second and more importantly...I have not tidied my apartment in like...weeks and the place is a complete disaster zone - well actually it's looking better now (at least to me, Mum probably wouldn't agree) because I've spent the night tidying it. However, there's still messy areas that I'm not sure I'll have enough time to fix up...plus there's the bug issue. There's a lot less of them now, but they still pop up and I'd rather the couch repair man not see them, but there's not much I can do about it.

Then again, I have no one to blame but myself for letting the place get into the state it's in. Perhaps this will be the wake up call I need to leave a tidier lifestyle? I kind of hope so!

I do hope the guy comes, it isn't a firm confirmation, he says he'll contact me tomorrow, which you know is rather annoying, I have no idea if his clients are usually people who don't work or able to leave said place of work with next to no notice, but who knows?

Anyway, I better dash, I was hoping to get more zzzs tonight but I might have to spend a bit more time folding my clean clothes so I can get into my bed, LOL.

Remember people, it's good to be tidy...

11:31pm: Leaving this entry a bit late, but what else is new? But, in regards to my subject heading, there was indeed weirdness today at archery. Yesterday I did really well at 40 metres with a better score than I got at 30 metres. This being the case I signed up for the 40m today - and I did terribly! I mean I got a PB, but the first time I did it I'm pretty sure I didn't have my new limbs and bowstring, so the score I needed to beat wasn't anything huge.

Still, I have no idea why I suddenly had such a hard time! The only thing I can think of is the shoot was something called a "Ranking Round" and there were a lot more people than usual so there wasn't as much room between me and the next archer. Also, I think I usually stand a lot further to the right of the target than I did today, so my aim was off. But still very strange.

In other news, I spoke to Mum this evening, she and Dad are currently in France :D and speaking of strange, it's raining over there and according to Mum it's the first rain they've had in 10 days. Which considering they went to England sounds most unusual! The weather really is whack these days...In more exciting news, tomorrow (French time) they're off to Malta! I've asked Mum to video call me when she's out and about there so
I can see what it looks like.

And I just realised, I totally forgot to wish her Happy Mother's Day - whoops...I should send her a message before I turn in. Which I should probably do now because I didn't get nearly enough zzzzs yesterday and I don't want to end up with a huge sleep debt. Even though the Giro d'Italia is on and do enjoy a bit of bike riding action.

For now though, ta-ta!

11:45pm: Yes, indeed! The new limbs are paying off, in fact I did better shooting at 40m than 30, which is weird...

However, my bow is acting weird, my top limb goes into the bow alright, but I have huge trouble removing it. One of the long-term people took a look and mentioned that the little...thing (I'm not actually sure what it's called) the bolt on the back of the limb slides into is crooked. It's not meant to be, so it's kind of getting caught in there. An odd state of affairs. Hopefully, the guy who looks after the equipment will be in tomorrow and be able to help me out.

Apart from that excitement not much to report - I did go down to the nearby Woolworths to recycle my soft plastics, and then headed to Aldi because this week's special is suitcase and travel. I was hoping to get a new suitcase, but alas they were too big. I did get some more cheese though!

Also I went to church, the kid who's been playing the piano with Mum and Dad was there, it's the first time he's played by himself and unfortunately, it was a bit rough. I hope he's not to bummed out...

Anyway, I stayed up waaaay to late last night, so I have to wrap it up here.

11:16pm: Indeed! The great man is 100 years old today! :OD Let's hear it for the man with the dulcet tones and conservationist extraordanaire.

By co-incidence it's animal print Friday (unofficially) which was a fun coincidence :O)

Anywho, I'm planning on doing Archery tomorrow, so I better not dilly-dallying too much.

Right now I'm trying to figure out how to create a box for Sims to wear on their head - why do I want to do this, you may ask, well mostly so I can make my own little BoxFort - which is one of Dr Gluon's Tomodachi Life characters who is the personification of a box fort (whenever Doc plays a game where things come in boxes rather than throwing them out he proceeds to make a box fort of them). He's adorable and I think it'd be pretty funny to have him in game. Only problem, I don't know to actually make a mesh that has a hole in it so you can se his face. I found some bag head swatches with lots of different emotions on them, but it's not quite the same. But I may have to roll with it.

Fortunately, the kind creators of Sims 4 CC actually have a box costume so I don't have to worry about making that at least - the things people create, it's amazing, LOL.

I better be going now - before I do here's...

The Friday Five

8/5/26

These questions were written by pebbleinalake on Dreamwidth.

1. What do you consider your current main fandom? (This can include hobbies and collecting. Anything you feel fannish about!) I'd say...The Sims 4 and the TV show Ghosts.

2. What was your first fandom? It was actually Inspector Gadget, my favourite cartoon! Dad even recorded a few episodes on VHS for me and I watched them endlessly.

3. Do you have any favorite headcanons or fan theories? Ooo lots! But I don't really have the time here to elaborate on them LOL. Most of them have probably been jossed, but what are you gonna do?

4. Have you ever created fanworks? Oh for sure! Mostly fan fic for Back to the Future, although I did write a fic for Ghosts too - although it did get totally jossed, boo-urns.

5. Are you still active in any old fandoms? I'm still a big BTTF fan, although sadly there's no Message Boards anymore - I do go to the Reddit page and sometimes there's interesting stuff there.

And now, I'm off!

11:28pm: Yes! As it happened the Lite'n'Easy arrived at my parents place before I did this morning, which unfortunately meant that the box that the food was in a few weeks back wasn't picked up because I hadn't put it out. They should be able to take them next time, though.

As a result of this, I headed into work on time only to discover that I'd been put on the closing shift since on of the branch staff had called in sick - and I wasn't expected in until 10. The boss did say that he could do the shift instead, but after I flipped a coin I decided that I'd stay back (after all, while we were short on staff the boss was taking heaps of closing shifts) which means I get to start later tomorrow. Fortunately, the Thursday delivery of items wasn't nearly as big as Tuesday's one so with any luck I won't feel like I'm run off my feet.

Having said that, I should turn in ASAP, I didn't get nearly enough zzzzs last night (probably because it's that time o' the month) and even if I am getting a later start I need to catch up on those.

The closing shift went fine, we managed to get everyone out of the library on time - sometimes patrons dilly-dally - and while I did briefly look at some clothes at T.K Maxx (there was a nice white cardigan, but unfortunately, it was slightly too small for me) I didn't have to wait for the bus because the driver let me on even though they'd just pulled away from the bus stop.

The state of my apartment though almost prevented me from getting the pills I'm supposed to take during the first four days of my period - I ran out last time, but went to my doctor and got a new script. Which I thought I'd put safely on my bedside table only to find it not there! Fortunately I managed to track it down and got to the Pharmacy before it closed.

Anwyho, I better be off!
