Sunday at the Movies
Jul. 21st, 2024 11:51 pm11:17pm: Yes indeed! Today was the long awaited outing with my friends to see Inside Out 2, the only annoying thing was I had trouble getting my car into a parking spot and as a result I got to see the bus I needed to catch to drive passed as I stood at the traffic lights to cross the road.
Which concerned me because the friends and I had agreed to meet up before the movie as my friend Ben had to leave right after it finished and I wondered if I'd miss it. Fortunately, the next bus wasn't long in coming, so I got to Chatswood in good time and we met up at a cafe although I didn't actually order anything, because dang me, stuff's expensive these days!
My friend Tina had bought along her boyfriend, who was actually at the cafe when I got there, but I couldn't remember what he looked like so I didn't realise, whoops.
So the movie session was at 11:45am, but we were about ten minutes later than that and there was still a wait for it to actually begin! Sooo many previews these days.
But yeah, it wasn't quite as epic as the first movie, but that's often how it goes, but it was a pretty good movie and funny :O) in fact I was most bummed to realise that now Disney isn't making DVDs for the Aussie market anymore how I'm supposed to get a hold of it. Boo, hiss.
After the movie ended and Ben had hurried off so he wouldn't have to pay for parking, Tina, her boyfriend and I went for lunch. We went to a Hong Kong Street Food place, which was interesting although I had no idea what to order and I didn't want to spend too much. I ended up getting a rice noodle roll, which I'd never had before and was rather yummy except it also included peanut sauce, I am not a fan of peanuts lemme tell you. It was also super filling so I had to bring half of it home in a takeway container.
We went our separate ways after lunch, I was hoping to find some boots especially since the sale at Myer was about to end, but alas no luck there. Annoying...
Right, so it's coming up to twenty to midnight and I do have work tomorrow, so I better do the meme and hit the hay!

What is the name of...
1. Your favorite book? Ooo, a toughie for sure...If I really have to choose... Adrian Mole from Minor to Major (which actually includes 3 Adrian Mole books, but hey it's published that way :OP)
2. Your favorite movie? There can only be one Back to the Future. :O)
3. Your least favorite adaptation of a book to a movie? My least favourite? Uh...hmm...not sure to be honest. I can't think of a really awful one off the top of my head.
4. Your least favorite adaptation ever of anything to a movie? Hmm...I'm kinda curious as to how they made a movie out of Tetris but I'm gonna assume it was about the development of said game?
5. Your first ever novel/comic book/movie character crush? Hmm...well it's either Jonathan Firth as Prince Albert in Victoria and Albert or Colin Firth as Mr Darcy in Pride & Prejudice or Jamie Bamber as Archie Kennedy in Hornblower. I watched all of those around the same time and I can't remember which came first now!
Goodnight!
