11:10pm: Yes indeed, it's been nearly a month since my last update! I've really been letting my Dreamwidth down haven't I? It's not as if nothing's been going on, in fact I've been quite busy with extra shifts from the library and caught up with some old friends. Actually, this weekend I'll be catching up with more old friends Edith and Elva from high school! (It's interesting because I always mixed up their names even though I knew who I was talking to in my brain, my mouth would say the wrong name - the ass) Elva lives overseas now so this is quite an occasion! In fact I'm taking the day off work this Sunday for it. I'm very relieved I can do that actually because apparently the actual rule at work is you need to give 10 days notice to take leave (even if it's just for one day), that seems like BS, I mean not everything gets planned weeks in advance.

Speaking of work, it's getting a bit alarming just how many people have left or been transferred to another library in the system. The staff area down the back is practically empty these days, yet I remain without a permanent job. In fact, one of the staff they hired externally has just gone off on a month long holiday the second they got hired. In what world does that make sense? This person better have a lot of experience - although they're still going to need to learn the new system, which I'd liked to point out I don't need to do. Grumble, grumble.

Moving on, how epic was the rescue of the Thai Boys from the cave?! I can't believe they all made it! When I first heard about it on the news I didn't have much hope at all, but everyone banded together and got them out, a good news story for sure. :O)

Sadly, there's also very distressing news...last Thursday a very popular figure skater Denis Ten from Kazhistan (the first to win a medal at the Olympics - a Bronze back in 2014) was murdered in a robbery. I followed him on Instagram and the whole thing is still a terrible shock, very upsetting and surreal. His last post was only a short time before his death and it was very sad to see it there in the Instagram stories until it disappeared. I wasn't like a huge fan or anything, but the whole thing is just totally messed up (the robbers were trying to steal his car mirrors, who kills someone over that?!) and a total waste. :O(

In happy news, it's now just one week until my parents return! Actually less than one week since they'll be home next Tuesday in the late morning. I'm looking forward to seeing them, it's been like three months an I'm sure they'll have lots of stories and whatnot. Although I have to clean my father's car because it's been parked in their carport this whole time - except for the few times I've taken it out to keep it's battery going - and it's got all dusty and salty.

Right, it's getting late so I should head off - I've been watching Le Tour De France while I'm typing this and a guy just rode off the road and into a ravine! Thankfully he's OK, but geeze that was a shock. Also...this is the same route where 23 years ago a cyclist in the race died, seems a poor choice of route honestly.

OK, I'm going to wrap this up because I do need to get my shut eye.

Goodnight all!

11:12pm: Whoops, I haven't updated for a couple of days, which I totally didn't plan on, but I have a good reason! I've been writing a fan fic! It's going pretty well so far and man it's been while since the good ol' writing bug hit me. It's nice! Also in surprising news, I've actually plotted this one out mostly, which I usually never do, I hope it will actually work.

I kind of wanted to post it as soon as I finished the first chapter because I'm excited, but I put out a general ask on my Tumblr about it and one of my mutuals felt that it's better to have the story completed, just in case you want to change something in an earlier chapter. Plus, if you're going to do a chaptered story you probably should have it finished, in case you never do finish it. Nothing worse than an incomplete fan fic and I do actually have a couple of those myself. I mean I know how they end and all, but anyone who read it? Well I'm sure they're most disappointed. So get with the program, so let's hopefully avoid that.

Anyway, moving along, it was a good night hanging with my parents last night, well mostly with Mum since Dad usually turns in at like 8pm, we watched Have You Been Paying Attention?, ah so funny! I think I'll head over there on Monday nights, especially since after next week I'll be able to go to the proper bed in the spare room. Heh.

And it's getting late, and I really need to get my ass to bed as soon as Cold Case ends, because I've been staying up too late the last few weeks after watching it. So I literally need to be lyind down and ready to turn the lights out.

Not much else to report today anyway, although I did get some cleaning done, it's not quite to Mum's standard so I need to finish up that tomorrow before the Scripture class.

I've also let the deadline pass for that library job, but I'm not too bummed, like I said I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have got a call. I've applied to so many jobs in my life and to be honest I don't feel like wasting time apply for one I just don't have the skill set for. I am supposed to be applying to some jobs though, come on Moose get off your ass.

For now though, I say goodbye!

Locked!

Oct. 1st, 2016 10:14 pm
anonymoose_au: (I Don't Know...)
9:50pm: Aww nuts, I bought the first two seasons of Modern Family on DVD while I was at the SupaCentre today buying the tea spoons that had finally come in at the homewares shop there only to discover just now that the Season one's DVD lock is still engaged! Which means I can't open the case, bugger. Also it sounds like it might be sort of...broken inside, which sucks because that means whenever you open it (once I can do that) some of the DVDs will fall out!

And now I've got to find a way to get the case open, one possibility could be the library, although I'm not sure if Mona Vale has a DVD unlocker thing - I know there's one at Dee Why Library - or used to be at least. I'm not sure I an really be bothered to go to Dee Why Library tomorrow before I head off to work. Either way I don't feel like hiking all the way back to the SupaCentre to get it open! I suppose if all else fails I'll have to go to the JB Hi-Fi at the Mall, which is still kind of annoying.

Moving on, I didn't go ice skating after going to the SupaCentre because I'm at Mum and Dad's house for the night - so I can go to church with them early tomorrow - and with Daylight Saving kicking in tonight that means a whole hour is lost and I wanted to get the most out of my wi-fi time here.

As it is it's technically all ready 11pm! I have to go to sleep as soon as House Hunters Renovations finishes, in which case I should do a few more Memes and wrap this up.

Friday5

16/9/16

That's My Fund-Day

1. What’s the last thing you didn’t want but purchased anyway because someone’s kid was raising funds for something? Hmm, nothing comes to mind. After all fundrasing often involves chocolate and I'm good for that. :OP

2. What’s something you’re always happy to buy when kids sell it as a fundraiser? LOL see the tail-end of my answer above.

3. What was the last fundraiser you participated in? Man, I haven't been involved in one since school! And that's...gulp 13 years ago now.

4. What are your feelings about the endless cycle of fundraising? It seems...annoying? But I guess how else can one get money? Especially if it's a non-profit.

5. What’s something people don’t sell as a fundraiser but really should? Ummm...books? But I guess technically they do that because you can buy them at Vinnies etc and the money there goes to charity. I guess because of the obesity issues in Australia it should be fruit!

23/9/16

All Over

1. What would you like right now to be coated with? Like this moment? 'Cause that question doesn't really make a lot of sense! I wouldn't say no to a Cherry Ripe though.

2. What’s something you recently slathered on something else? I slathered a whole lot of butter on Mrs S's toast on Friday morning - she likes it that way.

3. What’s something you purchased recently whose purpose is to cover something? Uh...I have no idea honestly? I bought some cling-wrap but it was so long ago I don't remember when!

4. What do your current bed linens look like? Dark green sheets and pillow case, with a New York City Skyline doona cover and pillow case and a dark green U-Shaped pillow case.

5. Under what circumstances did you last wear some kind of gloves? At Mrs S's place for personal care , gotta keep it clean. :OP

30/9/16

Impromptu

1. What’s something you’ve created while improvising in the kitchen? I'm not an improvisor so I got nothing. Oh wait! Thickened cream on grapes is really delicious, but that's probably a known fact. :OP

2. In your work, how good are you at winging it? Pretty good...although I do prefer clear instructions!

3. When you travel, how much of your trip do you make up as you go? Don't travel much, although the last time I did I pretty much winged it the whole time!

4. How structured are your plans for this weekend? Since I work on the weekends, quite structured in terms of that, but after work I'm pretty free.

5. What’s something you’ve discovered while wandering around in your neighborhood? My neighbourhood's very quiet and is just residential property, so...nothing.

Okedoke, finally caught up on the Friday5! Round of applause, please! ;OD

And now, I bid you all goodnight!

11:29pm: Well it's late in the day and I see that I should be 15,000 words today, but I've made start on NaNoWriMo and have at least broken 2,000 words. It's a rather action-packed part of Geoffrey of Monmouth's tale, so hopefully that'll help me catch up!

Anyway, I better keep this entry quick, since it's getting rather late and I need to be ready to jump into bed as soon as Homes Under the Hammer wraps up.

I made Mum's cupcakes, unfortunately, I went out to get some more milk and double cream (neither of which I ended up needing) and with the time that took the flat wasn't all that clean when Mum showed up...with Dad in tow! Oh dear, Dad's quite a neat-nick so he wasn't all that pleased with the state of the place, even though to be honest I don't think it's all that bad. They didn't stick around for long fortunately, but Mum says she'll be back, so I better make sure I've cleaned up to parental satisfaction by that point.

I was planning on catching up on the memes, but with the NaNoWriMo and general procrastination I don't actually have time for that, whoops, I guess I'll have to leave it, maybe for a week as I work on catching up on NaNo! I'm sure you'll all be devestated to hear that. :OP

So in closing...my word count thus far!

Wish me luck on my NaNo-ing journey!

9:52pm: Well damn, I must have eaten something or too much of something because my poor digestive system has decided to play up. Damn it, and it's been going so well. :O( I went to the gym after work thinking that might help and I did complete my work out, but the lower abdominal area was still most uncomfortable so I decided screw it, I'll go to my parents. Which is where I am now, although the pain remains. And I've also realized I have a problem, what am I going to wear tomorrow? I thought I left some black trousers here for just this sort of thing, but they're not here. Oh dear...I may have to wear the green pants I wore today, which will be kind of awkward... Failing that I guess I could wear my black leggings although I think they might be a bit too tight. Oh dear indeed!

Anyway, apart from the stomach pain, I-very also had a headache on and off all day and there has been much sleepiness. Didn't help that I woke up half an hour earlier than I needed to this morning (set the wrong alarm), so I guess I should be glad there's nothing good on TV tonight so I can turn in early.

Really early it seems since the Meme isn't up! Shocking!

Anyway, I should do that because this Saturday is going to be busy as Hell and I need all my faculties to get through it.

Oh Crap...

Aug. 16th, 2013 11:02 pm
anonymoose_au: (Oww...Aaah...Owwww)
10:21pm: Man, I'm tired, I guess I haven't been getting enough zzzzs, which means I'll be turning in soon.

In other news, they work fast at the pathology lab, this doctor called me today to sat some of my results had come in and something had shown upu, so I should come in ASAP to discuss them. The doctor isn't in on the weekends so I was either going to have to wait until Monday or hurry in after work this evening. I decided to do the latter, which kind of ended up being a bit of a schmoozle because I missed the bus that comes right after work ends and the next one that came was a 7 minute wait and a slow bus, damnit. So by the end of it I ended up at the door to the medical centre one minute before it closed (at 6pm on a Friday, that's a bit early)! Fortunately the staff let me in, although apparently there was some after work function about CPR going on, so it was a bit awkward sitting there. Plus, I was there for ages, because there was a guy ahead of me with chest pains. Then some ambulance men arrived, which was confusing for a moment until we all realised they were there for the poor guy with the chest pains. That was pretty weird for him getting wheeled out on the stretcher past the CPR group!

Anyway, I finally saw the doc and the news was not good. That damn parasite is back again! I had it some years ago in 2007 when I lost quite a bit of weight very quickly amd was in general pain.Boo hiss! As a result I have to take an antibiotic three times a day for the next 10 days to get rid of it, hopefully it'll work. Although the last time I had to take it, I ended up with gross mouth problems, ,just remember to eat yogurt this time around!

So, yeah, that's today's big news, and as a result of all this, it was almost 7pm, so I decided to head over to the parentals instead of back to the apartmemt, so here I am and like I said, I be sleepy so I shall forgo the memes and lay me down to sleep.

Wish me luck with the antibiotics and goodnight all!

10:25pm: Well, that sounds a lot better than what's actually going to happen. Namely, blood tetd and stool samples.

Basically, I went to see my father's GP this evening after work following another long day of terrible digestive pain. He recommended the tests and has also given me a referral to a dietician to they out this thing called the Low FODMAP diet, which I'very heard of having seen it among the search results for IBS. Interesting stuff to be sure...and apparently they get good results with it too, so fingers and toes crossed! I also got me some Double-Strength Busocpan which actually seemed to work! Although that might have been the fact that I returned to my parents' house and lay down on the couch.

Yes, alas, I'm still here, but I do have good reason, the blood test is supposed to be a fasting one so I can't eat anything before doing it. The easiest place to have the test done is at the medical centre just down the road from my parents place, so I might as well stay here. Plus, the dietician is also on this side, maybe I'll strike it lucky and be able to book in tomorrow as well.

Oh! And good news, I found out why my super from the news agency hasn't shown up in my account, the boss has paid it, but into a new account connected with the business. Whoops. Now, I'm not sure if I should push to have him put it in my main account, or what. Bah! I guess I'll figure it out later...I hope.

Anyway, all the digestive discomfort has left me feeling most drained, so I'm going to turn in now and hope for the best tomorrow.

Good night and good health to you all!

10:06pm: So my IBS decided to be a dick and flare up today and coupled with the fact that a big football game was on tonight meaning traffic would be shit meant that I went back to the parentals rather than the apartment.

I actually thought my parents were going to be away, but seems I misheard and they were here. Sadly this made things a bit awkward since Mum hates it when a lie around on the couch, which was what I was doing. So yeah bit of an argument there, mainly because Dad hates it when Mum gets snappy.

But it all seems to have settled down now, except for my guts, which continue to hurt and have left me unable to play any more Tales of Monkey Island, I am saddened.

Also, I'm a bit worried the pain might not go away by tomorrow, the coworkers and I are meant to go out for a celebratory lunch, something I'd usually be all over. But if I feel this icky, uuuuugh.

The only upside to today is the fact that the big football game meant the Writer's Group wasn't on, so at least I didn't miss that. Although...that also means I didn't do any writing....I should fix that.

And now, I shall be off.

Goodnight.

Rain!

Jul. 16th, 2013 11:12 pm
anonymoose_au: (Whoops)
10:49pm: It rained this afternoon, quite heavily and while I had my umbrella, I certainly didn't expect it to be so heavy! There was even some thunder and lightning, which is always a little worrying when you're walking around with an umbrella.

But fortunately it let up by the time I got to my parents house to pick up my gym gear, so I was able to get to said gym without getting soaked.

However, I did give myself a bit of a scare, I managed to leave my mobile phone behind in the locker room! Which I didn't realise until I got back to the parentals. Most fortunately, my mother went to the gym after work this evening and someone had turned it in to the front desk. All the same though...I'm most disappointed in myself, I've been doing so well with keeping my mobile on my person ever since I made that pouch. Man, what do I have to do to keep a hold of my stuff? Sigh!

Aside from that, not much else to report, regular ol' Tuesday for me, although I should be doing some more job hunting, bah humbug, I have no idea what I'm really looking for, though.

And finally, still playing Tales of Monkey Island I've got myself stuck again, hmpf! Trying to avoid wussing out and looking up hints again. I wonder if puzzle-solving adventure games have as good an effect on the brain as those mind-game things that are supposed to prevent Alzheimer's? I hope so!

Oh, one last thing, Le Tour is back in so time to watch!

So, I bid you all goodnight!

10:39pm: Yes, indeed! I managed to find a copy of The Tales of Monkey Island at EB Games in North Sydney today for $9.95! Scoooore! I've just started playing and I've all ready managed to solve a few puzzles! All without having to use the hints screen, double scooore.

Also I got to the gym where I did the weight lifting workout, although I keep forgetting that Tuesday is the day when this guy comes and uses the upper body ergometre for like an hour, which means I can't use it. Whoops, that's two weeks I've missed out on now, fail me. But hey, I got swimming in and everything.

Although, I hope I haven't been too ambitious moving up to the 6kg weights, because this evening while bending over to empty my parents' garbage bin I had a bit of a back spasm! Man, I better be careful. I've thrown my back out before and no way do I want to go there again!

Now, I'm here watching Le Tour with my mother, although I've heard most unfortunate news, my favourite team is Euskatel-Escuakd, which is a Spainnish and alas it hasn't beeen left untouched by the finicial crisis, if a new sponsor doesn't step forward the team will break up! As Mum pointed out even if they do get a new sponsor, they'll probably be a name change. Well, shit, that sucks, there's not another team in Le Tour with such a cool name.

And that's pretry much all I have to say for today, although I didn't wake up until almost noon! So I can safely say I've caught up on my zzzs, yay!

Oh! Before I go though, I must mention something surprising I learned yesterday, Andy Murray isn't the first Brit to have won Wimbledon since the 30s, a woman Virginia Wade won in 1977! How rude for no-one to have mentioned that! Hmpf.

For now, goodnight!

11:46pm: With regards to the internet here at my parents' house, I came over to go to the gym, but planned to go back to the apartment if it still wasn't working, which it wasn't. I called up Telstra again, because it's been like 5 days now and that's not cool. Basically they couldn't tell me anything, so...

However, I came over here rather late in the day and it was dark and cold by the time I finished up at the gym, also I remembered something, I hadn't tried to restart the modem, which is quite an oversight when it comes to tech trouble-shooting. I decided I would stay over even if I couldn't get the damn thing to work, but thankfully it did, yay! Which means I didn't have to die of boredom until the tour came on. Although it's a team time trial and even though there's at least 16 wheels involved it's not quite as fun, which means I can go to sleep at a reasonable hour.

Although there's a dude cycling today with a hairline fracture of the pelvis, apparently it's important for him to be there, but I can't see the logic, surely he could only slow the team down, not to mention the possible long term damage! I hope he'll be OK...

I've just made cupcakes for the get-together with friends tomorrow, except there doesn't seem to be any butter left to make frosting! I'm not sure what to do, can you use margarine in frosting? Or should I see if I can make it when I'm at my friend's place, which is a weird thing to do, granted, but might be the only way.

And now I'm downstairs with Mum watching A Touch of Frost since my channel choice is not severely curtailed, but hey it's not a bad show, Frost has just cracked one of the two cases he's investigating at the moment.

Not much else to report although I cleaned the apartment to Mum's satisfaction so that's all good.

Pet Peeves

What are your literary “pet peeves”?

Ummm....hmmm, let me think. I can't really think of anything that immediately puts me off, it's all a matter of how the writer expresses them. I don't mind reading about vampires for example if its by a good writer, but if its Stephanie Myer, screw that.

So yeah, I like to think I have an open mind when it comes to reading!

And I found a recipe for margarine based frosting and I just made some up, and it tastes just find, so I've made some more so I think it'll do. Only problem...I overcooked a few of the cupcakes. :O( I might make sure I eat those ones myself, LOL.

In other news, Frost does a lot of investigating for one show. I think it's a double episode, but still he's getting way more done then even Barnaby.

I suppose I can take comfort in the fact that I'll have an extra hour to do my assignments, I was hoping to get some done tonight, but I'm rather sleepy! I'll give it ago, maybe I can track down some articles that will help me tomorrow.

Tomorrow is also apartment showing day, Mum will be coming with me for this though, which is good because sometimes I have trouble dealing with prospective tenants particularly if they're all about getting the apartment right away.

Anyway! Tonight was Earth Hour! And I went down to McMahon Point to watch the light's go out over the city with some friends. At first it looked like there wasn't going to be much of a turn out and I'd have to eat all my cupcakes on my own (LOL), but quite a few of them showed up! So good times were had by all! It was a little unfortunate that not as many lights of before seemed to go off. Shame! Also there's this strange thing where fireworks go off every Saturday evening, I don't know what that's all about, not really lessening the carbon footprint is it. :OP

Unfortunately, my parents forgot all about Earth Hour, honestly their memories are shot these days, so they did not participate, still we've at least remembered to put the clocks back for tomorrow.

And now, Memes!

Saturday 9

:Stuck in the Middle With You:

1. In romance, have you ever been stuck in the middle with someone? N/A.

2. Which current commercial is the currently most annoying to you on TV or radio? Well there is an odd add about some sort of car...appliance thing, I don't even know, but it has some gibberish in it and it's really annoying trying to figure out what the Hell they're on about.

3. What do you think is the most difficult task when it comes to Spring cleaning? Figuring out what to throw out! I have such trouble with that, because sometimes I really do throw things out which I really want to use again later on, but of course it's too late. :O(

4. What area is your expertise in? Library Studies I should hope considering I'm going for a Masters in Information Studies!

5. Have you ever bumped into a former lover and found out they were now gay or straight depending on your relationship with them? N/A. That'd be weird!

6. When was the last time that you got stabbed in the back? Ummm...I don't know, not for a long time, which is good news!

7. For a few years in a row, you receive a nice tax refund: do you make an adjustment with your payroll deduction so they’ll take less, or do you leave it that way so that you can continue to receive the big check every spring? I don't think it works like that here in Australia, but I'd probably keep with it because getting a bit of money at the end of the tax year is always good.

8. Do you remember the most naughty night of your life? (And do tell a bit, if comfortable) Nothing with sexy results, I did once leave the house after a big fight with my parents and walked all the way into the city and didn't come back until 6am which really wasn't the best idea!

9. How would you handle yourself if you were regularly in the press and tabloids? I do believe I'd be seriously fucked. I'm always putting my foot in my mouth!

The Saturday Six

1. What type of cookie do you most enjoy dipping in ice-cold milk: chocolate chip, Oreo or peanut-butter? I've never actually done that or been interested in doing that so I got nothing. I hear that sucking milk through a Tim Tam is good.

2. When is the last time you had one of those cookies with milk? N/A.

3. Who you are/were you closer to: your mother or your father? Um...I'm quite close to them both! Maybe my father? Like I said, I'm close to both. :O)

4. How do you take your coffee: cold or hot, sugar, cream, both or neither? Don't like coffee.

5. What word do you most wish people would stop using? Well I've mentioned before that I really hate the British pronouciation of the word vitamin and I wish it would go away!

6. How often do you floss your teeth? I used to floss them quite a bit, but then I get lazy, I'm afraid and I don't do it unless I get something stuck between my teeth and need to get it out.

Right! Now I better go look for those articles and turn in even if it's technically an hour earlier than the clock says because I'm tiiiired!

Sunday Seven

This week is about the TV show M*A*S*H which I've barely watched and thus can't answer. So skip!

Unconcious Mutterings

I say ... and you think ... ?

1. Flannel :: Face cloth.

2. Chairs :: Musical (heh)

3. Sporadic :: My internet!

4. Difficult :: Day

5. Amusing :: Joke

6. Collapse :: Exhaustion

7. Hurtful :: Words

8. Thump :: Ouch!

9. Frugal :: Penny pinching

10. Collectibles :: toys!

Another problem with over here is that we haven't got the internet set up properly on this side so I'm having to connect through next door, which as you can imagine means the internet kind of sucks right now, it's bad enough when I'm connecting from next door but now there's a party wall between me and router!

Anyway, I have to go and help Mum with the bed, so I'll be off now. Been a long day what with 8 hours of work and all this moving! And the men still have to come back on Wednesday to finish up! Wish us luck!

Goodnight all!

10:10pm: Yes, unfortunately my mother called me this morning to give me the bad news. :O( I have to put the add up ASAP, so unless I get a job in the next two seconds I'm outta the apartment for a month at the very least.

I am sad. :O(

Whyyyyy life? WHYYYY?

Then the day got progressively more complicated as at about quarter to ten Mum rang me up to say that she'd forgotten to put the key outside for the roof contractor and the agent (they're selling the house) to get. So...I had to go all the way over there.

Except I felt most uncomfortable on the bus so I got off it and planned to walk across the Bridge (don't ask) but I couldn't figure out how to get on the damn thing so I had to catch another bus. I eventually got there only to find the agent there with the house open, the guys renting the place must have been home and let him in.

I didn't realise this at first at figured the roofing man must be checking our side of the house, but then he arrived and went into the other side.

FUUUUUUCK complete waste of time! And bus tickets!

I have to admit I was really quite pissing when I managed to get into contact with Mum, she offered to drive me home after work, so I hung out at the parentals, but all their laptops are slooow and then when Dad got home he told me that Mum would be going out tonight and thus wouldn't be able to drop me back at the apartment until late.

So I said, fuck that and got the train back, which I think was cheaper? Anyway whatever. I'm back here now.

Anyway, NaNoWriMo Meme.

Day 1 - Have you participated in NaNoWriMo before? If so, which years and what end result? If not (or even if so, for that matter), what’s your connection to writing? Why do you want to participate this year?

Day 2 - What’s the title of your story? Why did you choose the name you did?

Day 3 - Pick one of your female characters. Introduce your readers to her, from her point of view and her words only.

I am Nimueh, sorceress, apprentice to the High Priestess to one day follower in her footsteps.My home is the Isle of the Blessed, a sacred place of magic and power. And, of course the orchard. An orchard full of apples...juicy, sweet, delicious apples, the taste of which would bring anyone to their knees.
I was born here on the Isle some years ago, I'm not sure how many, time moves differently here, we are not really of this world.
But we can help it...if we wish.

And the rest )

Right, I've got Arthur doing stuff so I'll be off to tag with him now.

And wonder...what have you done LJ, the LJLogin thingies don't work anymore! D:

You suck!

Goodnight. :O/

10:36pm: Still here at the parentals due to malaise, which is weird because when I woke up this morning I felt pretty good, in fact I was all ready to head back home but I feel back to sleep and when I woke up I felt a lot less well and so I remain.

My father reminded me when he got home that I haven't been using my time very constructively, for example by working on my assignment, problem is that subject is so damn boring that working on it with a stuffed nose and just general malaise makes it next to impossible to concentrate on!

In other news, I'm concerned about my foot, a week ago I had that issue with the high heeled boots I wore, since then my left foot has cleared up just fine, but apparently sticking special blister bandaids on them was a bad idea in the case of my right foot. There's something weird going on there, I think I might have got athlete's foot or something...shit, nasty.

Now, I've got to decide what to do re:volunteering tomorrow...to go or not to go, I had the weirdest sense today that lying around the whole time was perhaps making me feel worse, but I don't know. Any advice from you my fellow friends?

Not much else to report, RPGage has also fallen by the wayside which is very sad, but the muddle headed thing pops up yet again.

And that's all I have to say for now.

Goodnight all!

9:21pm: Actually no, I'm still alive, I'm over here at my parents place in fact so I got a good dinner, also some cough medicine.

More importantly though, I got a five day extension on my assignment, praise the Lord! Because I really wasn't getting on with it at all.

I was going to go to the doctors today but apparently the 'I'm mostly unemployed and therefore poor' card doesn't work on Sundays. So I made an appointment for tomorrow morning, but Mum thinks I should cancel it, which I guess I'll do, she says I can't stay home anyway because seeing as I get no sick pay I can't afford it. Hopefully though with the cough medicine and paracetamol I'll be OK for tomorrow. Stay cool me, stay cool. Man, this coughing has really taken me down, I've even got that pulled muscle thing you get when you cough too much, it's a complete ass.

I should probably turn in early, before I do though, here's the memes!

10:39pm: My left knee hurts, this is most annoying and has come out of nowhere. What's all that about? I don't even have that anti-inflammatory cream here at my parents house to help.

I'm still here, actually, because my father is finally home from rehab tomorrow and I wanted to be here to greet him. Also, for some reason my Irritable Bowel was most irritable today. Very irritable indeed, although it seems to have calmed down now. I hope this trend continues.

What else to report? Not much and there's no memes today.

And complaining about my knee for a few more paragraphs isn't going to be very interesting to any of you. :OP

So that's all I have to say for today.

Goodnight all.
anonymoose_au: (Default)
11:07pm: Which actually isn't anything exciting since I'm generally over here on a Sunday night, but eh, I needed a heading.

Not much to report re: today - I got some more Sims 3 in and lots of RPGing fun.

This does give me an opportunity to catch up on the mees though.

Memes! )

Well, I've run out of time here so they'll be more memes forthcoming tomorrow.

And now I'm off to bed. Goodnight all!
anonymoose_au: (Boom-Shaka-Laka-laka-laka)
10:31pm: Indeed, seriously if I was actually doing stuff this long weekend I'd be most annoyed, it's been raining and cold all day and nowit's really coming down. Although seeing as it's 10:30 at night I suppose that isn't too bad.

Anyway! Not much else to report although I was lucky someone forgot to lock the backdoor to my parents' house because otherwise I'd have been stuck outside in the cold and rain (I suppose I would have walked to the Shopping Centre), I couldn't actually get into the house proper but the back room/patio thing is covered and there's a fridge back there so I didn't go hungry!

And now, Memes please! )

And it's getting on to midnight and I have work tomorrow so I best be off.

Goodnight all!
