Eggs-cellent!
Apr. 7th, 2026 11:47 pm11:31pm: I was somewhat disappointed this morning when I went to the Coles at the Mall before work to buy a salad for lunch and discovered that the Easter chocolate was not spectacularly on special at all! It was half-price, but not like the chocolate at my local Coles. Which led me to wonder if there'd actually be any chocolate left by the time I could go there after work today.
But as you can see from my subject heading there was indeed chocolate there and I might have gone a bit overboard buying 5 packs of small hollow Cadbury eggs. There's ten eggs in each box, so that's...50 eggs, LOL.
But it's good to know I'm well-stocked in eggs now.
In other news, I couldn't find my gym bag this morning, which was highly confusing to me, because I couldn't imagine where it could have got to. I did a bit of cleaning yesterday so it definitely wasn't hiding next to the bed or anything, I looked under the couch, but no sign! The only thing I could think of was that I left it behind at the gym itself, so I also dropped in there before heading into the library, but there was no sign of it in the lost property or behind the counter. So I figured I must have left it on the bus! :O(
Now a days it's pretty much impossible to ring a bus depot and speak to their lost property department, so I had to create a report online and hope they'd contact me.
So imagine my surprise when I went to the gym (I packed some gym clothes in my work backpack and figured I'd just wear the shoes I had on - which are the black comfortable ones) and entered the locker room to discover my gym bag right there on the bench! I never thought to look in there this morning because there's signs in the locker room saying that they clear out the place every night. Evidentally not, seeing as my bag had sat there for like four days, of course two of them were public holidays so maybe the staff didn't have the time or whatever. What a relief though! I mean I could replace the stuff inside, but the bag itself was given to me by my parents - it's from the New York Museum of Art when they visited NYC some years ago.
And on a final note, my supervisor picked up the Pusheen showbag for me at the Easter Show last week, very exciting, it has very cute items in, including a small backpack which can also double as a shoulder bag. I'm not sure what to do with the backpack straps because it's a mini-backpack, for kids obviously - and even with the straps extended I can't actually fit it. The handbag strap is also a bit short...I wonder if I can somehow change it to make it like a second handbag. This requires pondering.
Aywho, I better wrap this up, bed calls!
Ta-ta!
