11:31pm: I can't remember if I updated yesterday - LOL - but I thought I should do so now just in case I haven't.

Not much to report, although I didn't end up staying with Mum and Dad's tonight because they're doing their taxes (which reminds me that I need to get onto that...) so the bed was covered in papers. But I did meet with them to go out to dinner - chicken schnitzel with salad and chips, yum! Then we went back to the parentals Mum and I watched our shows before Mum drove me back home with my Lite n Easy.

So here I am back at the apartment having just finished playing some more Lady Bigwallet on Sims 4, although I've now got an Alternate Alternate Bigwallet thing going on because basically I realised I made it kind of easy on myself having her and the gardener getting married before Lady was actually rich. So yeah...

Anywho, I better go because I have to get to bed and it's only 20 minutes to midnight!

Sorry for the short entry :OP

11:11pm: Wait almost 2 hours? Because that's what I did, LOL. Although I had my book with me so it wasn't like I was totally bored and fortunately, the weather isn't so cold now because that would have suuucked.

I obviously wasn't planning to get free pizza having being to the gym, but I was out of toilet paper so had to go and buy some on my way home, and walking to the supermarket I happened to pass by the newly opened pizza shop, where they were offering the free pizzas. I wasn't actually going to go there, because the line was already quite long and a there was a crowd hanging around - I later realised that these were people who were waiting for their order. But y'know, free food is hard to walk past, so after running into an old work colleague, chatting for a bit and getting a free cannoli I got in the line. As it turned out I was among the last - the free pizza stopped at 7pm and it was about 6:45 when I got to the front counter. My order number was 396! And they were only at 160 or something... So yeah long wait - when they said it would be about an hour I almost decided not to stick around. Still for all that I'm glad I did because it was a very yummy pizza indeed, even if there was no Hawaiian option :OP

Of course, it did mean I got home quite late, which means I'm updating this pretty late too! Before I rush off though, I have to say I'm a bit concerned about my side muscles which have been oddly sore since yesterday, I hope the physio didnt do something weird to them, but I don't think she'd actually touched that area so I must have sat oddly or slept weirdly. I hope I don't have to go back, it does cost like $90 a go.

Right, I totally got distracted by Duolingo and now it's nearly a quarter to midnight, which is no good because I haven't been getting enough zzzs lately and that just won't do.

That being the case, I better dash, see you later!

9:30pm: Yes! I finally got the game to open and reconnect with Trevor, Hetty, Thor, Sass, Pete, Isaac, Alberta and Flower, as Isaac would say "Huzzah!"

I also went to my Hill Valley save to see if that would load up, which it did, hooray! Although, Biff's grandma (currently a teen) manage to set the kitchen on fire... and because her family lives in a tiny apartment in Chicago the fireperson took their sweet time getting up there and then just stood around for most of the Sim day. Fortunately Gertrude's father managed to put out the fire himself. LOL, just crazy Sims 3 stuff.

In real life news, today was the last Beginner's Archery lesson! I started off pretty well, despite the wind (which because of how close we were to the target didn't actually affect the arrow, but it did make it harder to aim with the bow!), but I still can't quite figure out the damn sight thing, is it too low? Is it too high? Too much to the left? Or the right? Who even knows :OP

However, I along with the rest of the class passed and we each get a certificate that says we know enough about archery now to be safely admitted to any archery field in Australia and the world. Wow nice! And next Sunday I'll be heading down again to hopefully join the Adbow class (which I've belated realised stands for Adult Bow, as Kid Bow is obviously for kids, don't know how I missed that one).

I also found out what sized bow I should have, which unsurprisingly is a shorter one than what I had... although the poundage of the draw-back (if that's the right term) tends to be heavier, which is a bit of a worry for me since I'm a weakling. Also if I do buy my own bow, unlike the ones we've been practicing with are metal rather than wood and heavier. Man... shakes head. Still it would be pretty neat to have my own bow with a green riser (the part that you hold), although that might be a bit much, the cheapest bow you can get (that's not second hand or whatever) is like $250. Might be a bit much, since I did buy my own ice skates, which i haven't used in ages, grumbles at self.

Anyway! After archery I went straight to my Aunt and Uncle's place for the family brunch, and thankfully it was literally just around the corner, because Mum told me to come at 11, but it was more like 11:30. I didn't miss the brunch though, which was great because it was delicious! Also I'm relieved to announce that my blueberry muffins tasted great! I was honestly a bit concerned about them yesterday when they seemed kind of...over cooked. However, my aunt put them in the microwave for like 40 seconds before serving them and they were nice and soft. Huzzah! Also despite my concern there was a nice amount of dollop cream left over, which as agreed I got to take home as well as a few leftover muffins. Hmmm...I wonder if I should take them into the office, maybe not as there's only 3.

I dropped Dad home on my way back to my place, where I got my Sims game going and continued to watch James Turner's Bigwallet marathon, which is set to end around 10pm tomorrow night. Which is probably for the best because it makes for very addictive watching LOL.

Also distracting! It's a quarter past 10 now, so I better haul, before I go though...

The Friday Five

13/9/24

These questions were written by Dreamwidth user zenigotchas.

1. What's the strangest, unexplainable incident you have experienced or have heard of? Hmm...well the Bermuda Triangle stuff used to sound pretty creepy, but there seems to be logical explanations for all of that. I guess...they time I had this dream at camp and the very next day it came true! O.o Unfortunately, it wasn't a very fun dream. Creepy!

2. Which mythical creatures or cryptids do you think are most likely to exist or have existed? Hmmm...I dunno... maybe Big Foot? Although it'd pretty cool if there used to be unicorns.

3. If you became a mythical figure how do you think you'd be portrayed? Hmm... I honestly haven't got a clue, depends what sort of mythical figure I became! If it was a Greek Goddess I'd probably be a really beee-eetch.

4. What animal do others find creepy that you find cute? *Scratches head* I'm not sure I can think of one to be honest. Charlotte, from Charlotte's web is pretty cute for a spider, but then that was probably the point of the animation. LOL.

5. What is your favorite lost civilization? Well, you can't really go past Atlantis can you? That would indeed be a sight to see!

And now it's past 10:30, so I better wrap this up and head off.

Goodnight all!

8:00pm: The last part has rather put a dampener on the end of the weekend, especially seeing as it's also accompanied by stomach pain - although that at least seems to have eased up, although my digestive system decided to freak out on me like an hour ago which sucked a lot. I'm also super tired... I don't think I've been getting enough sleep seeing as I got up early yesterday morning as well as today for archery.

Actually, my digestive system was being most impolite this morning and I was a bit worried, fortunately, it calmed down so I was able to get to the class and shoot the arrows. I'm happy to report I am indeed getting better and actually hitting the target, but I haven't the best aim still. On the plus side it did mean that I was first out in the end of class shoot off which meant I was able to get to church. It was quite packed since as I mentioned it was the only mass for that weekend.

After mass - and some speeches about how the church got its start 50 years ago, there was the anniversary lumch, fortunately my stomach problems had gone dormant at that time so I was able to enjoy that, there was a buffet with quite a lot of options, I ended up with chicken wrap and a party pie and party sized sausage roll (which happened to be have been brought by Mum XD) and then a chocolate muffin, a mini cupcake with chocolate icing and a scone. Which I'm hoping isn't want brought on the digestive freak out later on. But who even knows?

Dad didn't go to the lunch so I had to drive Mum back to the retirement village before I came back here and finished reading the book that's been requested as an Inter Library Loan. As it turned out I couldn't actually finish it at work because it's actually super sad and I didn't want to start crying at work. So instead I read it this afternoon and cried here, which I guess could explain the headache, because crying sucks.

I wonder if I should take some Buscopan, hmmm...

Anyway, I was planning on replying to Vic's messages, but yeah, not feeling up to it right now, but do not fear I haven't forgotten!

On that note though, I'm out, I sure hope I feel better tomorrow after a good night's sleep.

10:57pm: Rather lazy day today, we didn't go into town or anything like that, although we did go to the fancy hotel down the road in the afternoon. I was considering having an iced chocolate there while Mum and her friend had some cocktails, but I decided not to since I was having a burger for dinner and since I'm not allowed to order from the kids menu (booo) I figured I better leave room for it.

For a lot of the day Mum and I hung out at the small pool here at our hotel, although we did move our sun lounges into the shade because even if it's technically winter here the sun is still very hot and bright. We did briefly get in the pool, which was a bit chilly when one first got in but it wasn't so bad after a while, not that we stayed in for long. Then to dry off we headed over to the strip of grass across the small road that's in front of the beach and is exclusive to hotel guests - although I'm not sure how they enforce that. It has a super nice view of the coral reef and the sea beyond.

I did do quite a bit of reading and them embroidering of my Pusheen on the beach, but alas no McFly July fanficcing, which is a bit awkward seeing as this is the last day of July and even if I use the excuse of not needing to finish it until tomorrow I'd need to do like...nineteen in one day. But I said I wouldn't worry too much about it, since it's just for fun.

Since it was such a lazy day I don't have much to report although the itchiness has returned, which is bloody annoying, I should book a doctor's appointment when I get back. I hope it's nothing too serious!

Anywho, I was writing on McFly July prompt, before doing this entry - since I thought I'd have more to say, but I didn't LOL.

Although Mum, her friend and I have been having fun trying to do a crossword from a book said friend bought from the airport. It's proving to be very difficult indeed! But hilarious, they've got some very odd answers to clues.

Right on that note, I should be off!

Goodnight.

10:22pm: After a very good night's sleep (Monday didn't go as well because both Mum and her friend both snore and we were sharing a room, LOL) it was full speed ahead for the first full day in Fiji.

We started off with breakfast, which is included in our stay. It's meant to be a Tropical breakfast, but the hotel lets you have other breakfast stuff as long as it adds up to the same amount, so Mum and I shared a plate of eggs on toast, hash brown, breakfast sausage and bacon. I didn't want bacon and Mum didn't want the bacon, so we swapped those and that was good eatin'!

Then we headed off into the nearest town in the hope of buying a few things, like cheese and maybe a souvineer, there's this really cool clock at the hotel reception here, I have seen such ones before, where all the numbers have are at the bottom of the clock like they've fallen there and "Who cares?" written on it. Considering my chronic lateness this would be very handy indeed! As it happens I couldn't find said clock, but it's not really a Fiji-centric souvineer, you can buy those online (although the one here at the hotel has "Fiji Time" or something written on it), so I ended up getting a t-shirt with a turtle and Fiji written on it. Nice.

I also got my cheese! And there was a fabric shop where I found some embroidery thread, I'm working on a new Pusheen cross-stitch - tropical themed :O) We also went to the vegetable market, where we got carrots, there was also some very interestingly shaped bananas there too. Mum's friend bought a really short fat one LOL, we're going to eat it on Thursday - it's still green at present.

I did have a bit of a scare when I didn't notice a step down and my right foot landed quite heavily, but fortunately, it's OK.

Oh and we also bought a big bag of Twisties and since we had a big and late breakfast I didn't have much for lunch back at our hotel, just some of those and a carrot LOL.

After that we went to the beach just across from the hotel, which is just for hotel guests (although, there's nothing really stopping anyone from just going there, but I think people are generally honest) where we sat on beach chairs. Mum also got us some reef shoes - the hotel is on the Coral Coast of Fiji, which means there's a big coral reef on the beach that extends out for what has to be about a kilometre. So if you want to go into the water you need these reef shoes so you don't cut your foot on coral. Mum and I went into the water for a bit, but the tide was going out, so it wasn't quite deep enough to swim, we'll try again tomorrow. (Good news for me, that time o' the month is finally over!)

Then finally, the big event of the day, dinner at the fancy hotel with a Cultural Show of Fijian music and dancing. It was a most delicious dinner, a buffet! :O) And the Cultural show was really interesting too although I had trouble making out the explanations the host gave, so I was bit lost as to what was going down LOL.

The only downside of the evening was that the seat of my chair was loose, which I didn't notice until I went to pull it in closed to the table, a which point I got one of my fingers caught between the seat and the frame and that hurt like an absolute bitch! I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up with a bruise under my nail after that, ouch.

In other news, I got the 11th prompt of McFly July done and posted, but I didn't write any on others, there was quite a bit of downtime today but I was working on my embroidery instead. Ah well, you can only do your best.

Anywho, it's coming up to 11pm, so I should probably head off and do my Duolingo before my mother and her friend decide to head to bed.

Goodnight!

11:40pm: Yes indeed! This evening was Mrs S's Christmas Party - or rather get together, since there was only her, me and the other carer there, but I did wear my Santa hat (not the springy one though LOL) and Mrs S wore this antler headband she got the other week.

Anyway! We had it at the same restaurant in the RSL as last year, I did consider the idea of having lasagna (with chips and salad) rather than the special parmagana thing, but seeing as I make my own lasagna - and it's pretty dam tasty if I do say so myself - I decided to go with the parmagana after all, most yummy!

Before that I was at M and Grandpa's, although there was some weirdness there, I called M earlier this week to confirm we'd be coming over to see her and play Canasta at one pm. However, M's memory isn't want it used to be and she didn't write it down in her diary by today she'd forgotten about it! So when I turned up after volunteering at the library no-one was home!

I called M's mobile and then Grandpa's put no answer, so finally I called Mum since she's usually up to date on M and Grandpa's movements and it turned out they were all together, looking at one of the other retirement villages, M is having trouble moving about lately, so they might need one of those serviced places and the they were going to have lunch there.

This was bad news for me because not only was I hungry - it was lunchtime! I really needed to go to the bathroom, and I couldn't get the key box to open and I'd also forgotten they have a few public facilities on site so I ended up leaving.

I went just down the road to the shops there, where I got some chips, but there were no toilets there either, do'h! So I ended up in Dee Why.

It was bloody hot today, so I considered going home, but M still wasn't answering her mobile, so I called Grandpa, who was still with Mum who answered and said M was looking forward to seeing me, so off I went, which was great because we got to play Canasta although we didn't finish our game, so I'll have to go back. :OD

Anywho, I better wrap this up because work's on tomorrow and it's nearly midnight!

11:28pm: There's not a lot to say about it probably, since all the competitiors have to wear white, but they've got a Frenchman playing and his got a bushy beard! LOL I've never seen a tennis player with a beard before! Actually that seems to be an athlete thing, I know body hair is the enemy of swimmers, divers and cyclists, but you don't see other athletes with them either. Hmm, maybe it's all the sweater.

In other news, I'm relieved to report that I've managed to get through a road block in my fan fic! I've been stuck on it for the past few days, but finally some inspiration hit. Yay, go me!

So I didn't end up updating yesterday after all because that's how I roll, but let it be said, it was a great get together for my cousin Mack's birthday. Some of his maternal cousins were there, who I don't think I've met before, interesting people.

I had a cheese burger with chips on the side (I also put the lettuce that was in the burger on the side, because who wants warm lettuce? Why is that a thing anyway?) Very nice, although the cheese could have been meltier, it's hard to find good cheese.

Mack liked the Google gift card my little bro and I got for him - which reminds me I forgot to give the little bro my bank details so he can pay me back, whoops! - and the card I made. I drew Mr Burns in his "Excellent" pose since we enjoyed the play.

Aunt Jo made a rather interesting cake with caramelised apple and...I'm not sure what else, not chocolate though, because my aunt doesn't cook with chocolate. But there was dollop cream to go with it so yuuum!

Plus let's not forget the fact I took a paid day off work, so yay!:O)

Anywho, it's ten minutes to midnight now, so I better go, I've got work tomorrow at 9:30am and I need to make sure I get the proper amount of zzzs.

Wish me luck with my story and goodnight all!

10:46pm: Not sure if I mentioned this but I borrowed a DVD series from the library the other week called The 72 Cutest Animals and of course it's full of cuteness! They've just shown the Elephant Seal, the adults aren't that cute, but the little calfs sure are! Man, I love seals and how they have to wriggle along, LMAO, boing, boing, boing! And so on :OP Looove it.

Anyway moving along, it's been a busy day! First there was work at Mona Vale Library this morning, it started off rather quiet, but ended up being quite busy and then afterwards volunteering at Dee Why Library. I arrived rather later than usual for the latter because I forgot my phone this morning so had to go via the Granny Flat to get it and I also had to pick up my newly altered pinstripe pants! :O) They're looking good although I have tried them on yet.

Speaking of pants though, I did buy a black pair with wider legs at Warriewood yesterday, I got them from Suzanne Grae which is kind of an old lady clothes shop, but it has the benefit of short length pants, which means they actually fit me without needing to be taken up! Praise the Lord! They look very nice, except they do seem to be slightly tight? But I think they'll expand a bit, I hope so! But it's not like I could have got the next size up because then they'd be too big. Seriously, what's up with pants and me? Pisses me off.

Eeee! Break in proceedings to say the panda has just shown up on the DVD and eeee they're so CUTE!!! They look like soccerballs! It cracks me up.

What else to report? Well, my throat seems to be a bit dry today...weird, I hope I'm not getting a cold (knock on wood), maybe I should gargle or something?

Oh! And I almost forgot, dinner with the co-worker last night went really well! On Mrs S's advice I made cupcakes, but I think I mucked up the recipe a little because they didn't come out as nice as they usually do. In fact the first batch was kind of a write-off to be honest. Oh well, at least I got the frosting right this time around!

My co-worker baked chicken and added some Hoysien sauce (I think), which was Chinese inspired, but there was also mashed potato and sliced potato with a Peruvian sauce on it. Which I've tried before at Mrs S's place, it's quite nice! And the second batch of cupcakes turned out OK, so there was that as well. Her boyfriend who lives in the sharehouse too joined us, so that was interesting!

So yeah good time being social, go me.

Anyway, I better wrap this up and head off, I've got to go to bed and do my Russian!

But! I can inform you the panda got to be number 1 in the list, as it should be, LOL.

11:17pm: Seriously, WTF? So rude! I can only think that I must have woken up at a bad point in my sleep cycle. Grumble, grumble.

Also, while my headache was gone by this morning (did I update yesterday? Apparently not, well suffice to say I had a terrible headache in the evening, paracetamol didn't do shit for it, bah, good thing I found some ibpruofen!) my guts decided to be unco-operative so I felt pretty eww for a lot of the day.

However! I didn't let it get me down and I won Canasta against M tonight! Whoo-hoo! Although it was an afternoon/evening game and M's never at her best at that time. We might play another hand tomorrow, we'll have to see.

Also, another great benefit in visiting M and Grandpa is getting a delicious lunch/dinner - it was lamb cutlets this time around, super delicious! With cauliflower and mashed potatoes. Belissimo!

Oh and there was ice cream with banana, rockmelon and chocolate sauce for dessert. Good times!

Right, so I was hoping this entry would make more sense, but like I said I'm inexplicibly tired as Hell so I'm gonna wrap this up here and hit the hay.

11:18pm: Yeeeessss! After work today I went over to M and Grandpa's place so M and I could play Canasta together and as you can probably guess from my subject title, I won! Yaaaaays! I have to admit I was greatly assisted by the first hand. I shuffled the cards, but I still ended up with all the wild cards - necessary for making Canastas, so I was like way ahead. But! M is known for her fight backs and she got awfully close to beating me. :O) Gotta keep on your toes.

Moving on, not a lot to report, I didn't update yesterday because I've fallen into this one day on, one day off thing, but I'm pleased to say despite feeling rather lazy I got off my butt and went to the gym, good for me! Oh! And it went well with the pyschiatrist who gave me some more tips and I've also arranged to to see him in three months rather then the six we've been doing. :O) With any luck I'll be able to work on my anxiety and cut down on the panic attacks. It would appear that I naturally breath a little faster than is normal, which makes it rather easy for me to start hyperventilating, which is the enemy of the panicky person. So I really should work on that...I need to listen to my mindful breathing app before I go to sleep. Although I neglected to do that yesterday because I got distracted by a fanfic - although not mine :OP I'm still working on it though!

I ended up going to be late though, which isn't doing my eyelid twitch any good, it's still going a bit...and I can't sleep in on Sundays since I go to church in the morning. So yes, better not stay up too late, even though I didn't get to watch my house shows this evening because I needed to watch the Bridget Jones' Baby DVD I got from the library, I was going to renew it because it's due tomorrow, but someone's got a hold on it, so...But I managed to do that so everything's coming up Moose! :OP

Right, on that note, I better be off (gawd, I've fallen way behind on the memes again, gotta do something about that). My one regret is I didn't get a chance to go ice skating...and also that I need to get my blades sharpened, man, it's such a long drive out there.

Guess I'll have to wait for next week.

Oh! And I almost forgot, whilst I didn't stay over at the M and Grandpa's, I did have dinner there, Grandpa had made spaghetti mince so we had pasta with a salad. Delicious!

For now, I bid you all goodnight!

11:17pm: Indeed, they had a tendency to slip today when I went skating, which is never good, after all I don't want to fall on my ass!

This time I got there just as the session was starting and aaaah skating on new Zamboni-ed ice is the best! So smooooth!

Speaking of skating, Plushy decided to be the legend he is and resurrect his most famous exhibition program - a strip-tease (panic not, he wears a muscle suit!) to Tom Jones's Sex Bomb. It's as hilarious as it sounds. I'm a bit bummed I didn't try harder to go and see these shows as I'm pretty sure this exhibition piece won't happen again. On the other hand I'd probably die from the thrill/second-hand embarrassment :OP

Still the lesson is...Plushy is more awesome than you. :OP

What else to report? Well, I got my laundry done, a day late and the pizza base so I could make my pizza also a day late.

I'm also thinking I need to get more zzzs - this is a common refrain for me, but I was quite sleepy as I drove home from the ice rink today and you know...driving when sleepy is a baaaad idea.

Which is why I have to wrap this up because I need to get to bed soon and also because my brain is not functioning right now, LOL. I wish I had a clearer head though I want to write more on my fan fic! It's going pretty well, although I'm not entirely sure I've picked the right tense to write it - did I mention this before? I think I started with the present and I keep falling back to the past. Obviously I'm gonna have to check this over carefully if I finish it and put it up. :O)

anonymoose_au: (Whoops)
10:45pm: Well that sucks...I was all set to start my application for the library technician job, but as I read over the position description I realised...well shit...I don't actually have the skillset! This is a damn shame and also a bit embarrassing since I mentioned I was going to apply and now, well I look kind of dumb.

I had no idea library technicians were supposed to know about creating programs for the community and knowing about reading advisories and all that jazz. But I suppose that makes sense, the Librarian looks over everything, the library assistant follows instructions and the library technician is the person in the middle. To be honest I'm not the sort of person who wants to work on complicated projects and shit, I'm too lazy for that kind of effort. I probably shouldn't say that though...

Moving on, I did get the other stuff I wanted to do today, like go to the gym and go shopping - I was out of cheese! While doing that I decided I'd try my hand at making something new for dinner, beef stroganoff. I've had it before of course, but not in some time! I got the idea from Mrs S who had it for dinner last night (she has it quite often actually) so I got the sauce and fetticine and cooked it up tonight. It was pretty good! I should add to my repitore!

What else to report? Well, I haven't finished cleaning which is the story of my life because I'm a lazy ass :OP but seriously, I need to pick up my game because I'm pretty sure Mum will be visitng the place tomorrow and also it's pretty uncool to leave clothes and stuff on the floor. Although I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't know how that stuff ends up on the floor, I don't remember putting it there.

Oh! And I don't have the photos, but yesterday when I went to the mall to collect Mrs S's new portable oven I went to the Pop Culture shop there...and they had Pusheen stuff! I couldn't resist! I bought a pencil case and the small regular Pusheen plush, they're both sooo cute! Although I probably shouldn't be buying stuff, but sometimes you gotta treat yo'self as they say.

Anyway, I better wrap this up, I have to get to bed soon (although, honestly I should be in bed now, I'm not gonna get my 8 hours!) and trim my fingernails again...why the Hell do they keep growing so fast, meanwhile my hair is taking forever to grow out. Annoying.

Right, off I go! Goodnight all!

11:40pm: Yes indeed! And I was planning to upload some of the photos I took, but I got caught up watching Roger Federer kick the butt of Tomas Berdych in the Aussie Open and now my laptop's touchpad has decided to act weird on me, so even though I've downloaded the photos I can't resize them, which really needs to be done because they're super huge.

Anyway! Good news! Despite the fact it was kind of rainy today Mum, Dad and I were still able to go to Cockington Green, and although Mum decided not to go in with us Dad and I had a great time in there! I haven't been there since I was like 3 or 4 years old and since that time they've added a whole new section of International minature models of things like Manchu Pichu and Petra. I got quite a few photos as did Dad although he needs to send those to me.

After Cockington Green we continued onwards to Aunt Chris and Uncle Lawrie's place where they were taking care of a number of their grandkids (and step-grandkids), but they have a big house so it wasn't too crowded or anything. We had lunch which was a BBQ, which was very delicious although I was sad to see that the salad contained no iceberg lettuce! It seems when Auntie Chris bought some pre-cut lettuce at the supermarket it didn't include it - uncool lettuce people, uncool.

Then it was on the road to Sydney once more, and it looked like the rain was going to follow us, but fortunately it let up and once we got into Sydney the traffic wasn't too awful except for a brief bit on the M5 - which I think is known as the shittiest road in the city.

Anyway, I best wrap this up since like I said my mouse is being an ass.

Hopefully I'll have more details for you tomorrow.

Goodnight all!

11:15pm: I swear the change themselves, it's very annoying.

Although I've just had a terrible thought, maybe someone has changed it! I don't think so...but I have had a lot of odd emails bounce back...

Oh crap...I've just checked the recent activity on my Yahoo account and there's some decidedly weird shit there...like my account's been accessed from India and China! Unless that's just when I've used Hola! to change my location...but I don't think so.

But I've all ready changed my password so many times I have no idea what I could use that I'd even remember! Except I also remember enabling two-step authentication so that I'd get an SMS on my phone if there was any shenanigans. But then perhaps I only did that after these weird sign ins, they're from 7 and 8 months ago.

Well, I've changed the password now so hopefully weird shit won't go down again.

Right, moving on, not a lot to report...except once again it's a lot later than I expected! And I haven't done my Russian yet, which I really need to do, although my phone is currently plugged in with a reaally short cable so I'm not sure how that's going to work. I might have to lie on the floor, LOL.

I'm at the parental units' place now for my usual Sunday night stay-over, we had Chinese for dinner, complete with honey chicken, which was super yummy indeed!

Also it means I can watch the house shows with Mum, and we can raise an eyebrow whenever they mention "granite" they're all about granite bench tops and double sinks, LOL.

But like I said time is getting on so I better wrap this up. Here's hoping I won't have any more password woes. Fingers crossed!

11:08pm: 'Cause I can't think of one! Seriously, major fail me.

It doesn't help that I'm feeling quite sleepy which is rather weird because I got enough zzzzs last night, then again, I suppose one night can't fix everything. :OP

Moving on, I didn't get my Canasta vengence today! M and I didn't end up finishing the game. I started off super-well, then M started fighting back...and we have a family rule that not only do you have to reach 5,000 points, you have to go out on winning hand. So despite the fact I did reach 5,000, I haven't won yet. So next time I go over it will be a fight to the death to get two Canastas and go out! Winning takes all. :OP

After a delicious lunch cooked by Grandpa (I had no idea he was such a good cook, but then he did have to cook for himself when he was out on his yacht for all those years) and helping M out with her laptop a bit it was off to the the library for my volunteering.

I was also meant to speak to that person about interviews and stuff, but I don't think Thursday's a good day for her...she wasn't actually there when I arrive and then there was a farewell party for a member of staff and by the time I finished my selections for home library service patrons she was busy or gone again (not sure which to be honest). So I might have to do a different day...

But hey, the farewell meant cake! :OD I'm never one to turn down cake.

However! I did remember to call the mechanic when I got home and I've booked my car in for its service next Thursday. Hopefully it won't be too pricey! I'm supposed to be saving money after all.

Right, I better wrap this up and hit the hay, work calls tomorrow!

10:25pm: Not one I've been undertaking, no I'm talking about this episode of MacGyver where his company's idea of stress relief is going on a day long hike complete with crossing a disturbingly flimsy looking bridge. Worst idea ever, although what MacGyver's doing up there when he's supposedly afraid of heights, however the fact he climbs mountains and such seems to refute that. But then again that's MacGyver for you, LOL.

So, today I went over to M and Grandpa's after work for Canasta, unfortunately for me I hadn't realised that M was expecting me to call and confirm that I was coming. Because I hadn't she'd gone swimming in the morning and was heading off to have her rest when I arrived. Whoops!

Then there was lunch, which was very delicious, but took quite a while because that's M and Grandpa's main meal of the day, so by the time M and I got around to starting the game (that was another thing I managed to forget to bring the score of the previous game we hadn't finished) it was 3pm! Suffice to say we didn't finish this game either, so now there's two unfinished games to complete and I'm losing in both of them! Hopefully, I can make an amazing comeback in at least one.

Also, my baggy pants situation is getting quite silly now, so I decided to pop by the Narrabeen Vinnies to see if I could find a second hand pair that would fit better. I thought I'd managed to score a good deal, but sadly they've proved to be too small - they were sort of stretchy so I thought I'd get by. But no dice...damn that's twelve bucks I won't get back....Grandpa did suggest seeing if I could get an exchange of sorts, apparently they let him do it once, but he is an older gentleman so the Vinnies people probably figured he was legit.

In other news, Nedshenko is still with us...fingers crossed! Hopefully, this will continue.

Anyway, I better move quick with some Memes before I head off )

Whoo! I've finally caught up with Unconscious Mutterings, go me! :OD

10:48pm: Has begun in earnest, since as usual I had to scrap the first one I was working on because I accidentally glued the face on wrong and when I tried to get if off it unsurprisingly left marks. Plus it was way easier to put the face and stripes on with the two body pieces not sewed entirely together yet.

I am having a bit of a time getting her tail right though, because of its stripeyness rather than making it just two pieces that are sewn together, there needs to be several alternating in light and dark grey material. The problem is making those pieces line up when I'm done! Perhaps though I'm not making the pieces big enough? Because once I sew them together it's really quite fiddly and trying to turn it right side out is quite hard on the fingers.

Anyway! Here's some pics of my progress! Although I have actually done a bit more, such as add her little front paws. I'm very much looking forward to how she'll look when I stuff her. :OP

Moving on, I didn't realise until I was heading to bed and got a cc of an email that Scripture class wasn't on today, instead there was a mass for the kids, which I didn't have to go to. But Mum still came by for her weekly visit bearing a sausage roll to be split between us and a cupcake each! Good thing I've rejoined a gym! :OP Although the main room still needed fixing it up so I didn't get rated on how I'm keeping my bedroom, LOL. I also need to mop my floor again, damn annoying floors. And get some Shower Sparkle.

However...because I didn't have any extra library shifts last week, but still spent quite a bit of money...I actually don't have enough money in my usual account to cover rent! I have to dip into my savings, booo! Oh well, I have an extra shift on Friday so I should be back in the black.

In other news, this show called Million Dollar Rooms is quite insane, makes Plushy's houses look relatively underdone, LOL. Seriously, though, who puts a TV in the walk-in wardrobe, sounds like a great way to get distracted and end up being super late LOL. Also...don't put carpet in a craft room rich people, that'll be a huge pain in the ass to clean.

Anyway! I've done my Russian, so before I wrap up this entry I'll do a meme!

Sunday Stealing

23/4/16

Ask Questions, Yo Meme

Stolen from: i take surveys

1. Are you a very open or private person? I'll go with open...I'll usually tell anyone my personal business! :OP

2. Change one thing about the world what would it be? World Hunger

3. Live in any country/city, where would you choose? Well, I like it here in Sydney to be honest. :OP But if my parents could be close by I might try out New York.

4. What perfume do you wear? None usually, although I do have a couple of perfumes that I got as presents. No idea what they're called though. :OP One's in the shape of cute Japanese doll though!

5. How are you feeling right now? Pretty good.

6. If money was no object, where would you move to? A nice one bedroom apartment somewhere in the area.

7. Who was the last person to make you cry? Hmmm...I don't think I've cried due to a person for ages.

8. What age do people usually mistake you for? Probably 25 or so.

9. Is there a song which can bring you to tears instantly? The Love Theme from Robotech, it's a really sad tune!

10. Do you play video games? Not that much, but I do love the Sims...I should play it again...although I still can't believe there's no toddlers in Sims 4, I put good money down for that game!

11. What do you think about before you go to bed? How nice my sheets are. :OP

12. Have you ever online dated? Nope, I've never regular dated! :OP

13. Do you get cranky when you’re hungry? I don't think so? I do get very distractable though, even more than usual! Also my stomach rumbles a lot.

14. What drink did you last consume? Cool water, it was niiice.

15. Have you ever tripped while walking up the stairs? Yes, yes I have. Hurts quite a bit less than falling down stairs.

16. Is there something you’re happy about at the moment? The Pusheen plush, it's coming along nicely!

17. Are you a shy person? With people I don't know, yeah.

18. Were you happy when you woke up today? I'd say so, I wasn't bummed out.

19. Do you like rain? Well it can be soothing to listen too, but I totally don't want to go out in it. Although I do have my spiffy umbrella so if it's light that's not too bad... Heavy rain that wets your pant cuffs sucks though.

20. Can you go a day without music? Umm...I think I could, although I couldn't go without some background sounds! That's why I have the TV on mores of the time!

Right! Time to hit the hay!

11:16pm: Which means I can't think of a good title here...I was going to make it about the fact the Aldi at Mona Vale seems to have stopped selling double length toilet paper, but I thought that'd be a bit embarrassing.

Seriously, though, where's the double length toilet paper go? That was super handy! Four rolls instead of 8, which is great in a flat such as mine where there's not a heap of space. I guess I should have gone to another Aldi, but figured they would have restocked by now. I guess I'll have to keep an eye out to see if this is a store-wide thing. I hope not!

Ha ha you know it's a slow news day for Moose when I spend a paragraph going on about toilet paper.

I had planned to do more exciting things today, such as go ice skating, but I need to get my skates sharpened which means going to the skating shop first and if I did that I'd end up finishing my skating session just as peak hour starts. Having driven in that situation before I can safely say, fuck that. I hope to go tomorrow though, although that will probably mean driving home in the dark a bit. Hopefully, not too much!

I did get to the doctor's though, however, to my great disappointment I wasn't bulk billed and thus am out of pocket $40 and I forgot about asking for a flu shot! Damn, fail! I'm not a rich person, that $40 covers my food for a week!

Unfortunately, the weird look of my toenail is a fugal infection...shit, so now I have to use this anti-fugal that could apparently take 2 months to work! Ugh. On the fortunate side, it's not related to the wart treatment I've been using, so I can go back to using it. That'll take months too...I could have it frozen off, but that would probably take more than one session and hurt. Boo.

Oh and I got to the breakfast this morning, sadly though there were no crossiants available and everything else was bloody expensive so I went with a muffin, which was very big and I didn't in fact finish. I wrapped it up in a napkin and bought it home, so I can have it tomorrow.

Right, I was thinking of doing a meme, but like I said, I'm a tired Moose so I better be off to catch up on my zzzs!

11:32pm: That's like the first time I've had a friend come to my humble abode since...well many years ago, when someone from university (who I've unfortunately lost touch with) came to my studio apartment in Newtown and got me into Merlin, LOL.

But tonight my friend, Ben, came around, I made pizza and a salad! And served chocolate biscuits and Clinkers. Good times, good times! Except when I almost fell down the stairs because it was dark outside and I couldn't see! I'd gone out because I thought Ben had arrived and was going to get him and then wouldn't you know he called my phone, which was back inside so...But I was OK!

So yeah! It was pretty cool to have a friend over and Ben was impressed I actually had the place relatively clean, LOL, or at least the kitchen/living area, the bedroom's still a bit messy, LOL. And he enjoyed the pizza, in fact I've got none left! Luckily I have ham for tomorrow's sandwich. I got it from the actual butcher at the local shops, although it looked different from the usual ham I get, not sure why. Tasted OK though!

Now, unfortunately this will be another short entry because I need to get up early tomorrow, the car needs to be dropped in for its service at 8:30am. After that I'm not sure what to do with myself...There's a bus back up to the local shops so I guess I'll just take that? Although there's a All-Staff Council Meeting at noon in Warriewood and after not going to the last one, I should go to this one. So do I really want to go all the way back up the hill just to come back later? Providing the bus is going...it's a bit sporadic. I suppose I could just hang out until noon...or in general until the car is ready.

Ah well, we shall find out tomorrow!

Now though, I must be off!

Goodnight!
