11:28pm: Yep, this morning I woke up at 8:22am and was rather confused because I was pretty sure it couldn't be the weekend yet and of course it wasn't, it's only Wednesday! So yeah, there was a mad dash as I hurried to have my shower, get dressed, eat breakfast and get to work. Breakfast in particular was a problem because I somehow managed to miss the loaf of bread that was sitting right in front of me and instead made do with cereal and a tiny bit of milk that didn't cover even a third of it, so it was pretty dry.

Anywho, I managed to make it into work no later than usual and in fact earlier than I did on Tuesday, LOL, which was still 10 minutes late which I was a little worried about because we're doing that Time and Motion study - I think I mentioned it - where we keep track of everything we do all day. Technically I'm on a flexible time schedule so it should be OK, but I dunno.

Anyway, I did some good work today! Most of the team were at the training I went to a few weeks back for most of the afternoon, so I didn't have any interruptions, so that was handy :OP

So...I've been meaning to do the Friday Fives, problem is I keep starting these entries too late, so even though they are up, I don't actually have time to do them because yeah, you gotta sleep! I blame The Sims 4 for this.

Oh well, you can only do your best...

I still can't believe I missed that loaf of bread though, LOL.

Goodnight!

10:04pm: I'm working on a McFly July prompt (which I'm sure you're all exciting to hear :OP) but alas, I won't be finishing it tonight because I need to get my butt to bed because tomorrow is my first lesson of the Beginner's Archery Course, I think I need to be there at about 8:30am, so I have to go to bed.

I was hoping to catch some of La Vuelta (aka the big Spanish cycling race), but it's not on until later, which is a shame, because while watching it last night I heard the team name I have long missed... Escatel Escaudi!! I read late last year that the team was coming back, but alas there was no sign of them at Le Tour de France, so I figured it wasn't happening. But, here they are! They were/are a Spanish team, so I'm not sure if they're only going to show up in Spanish tours, but it's awesome to hear the name again. Although sadly it's not by Phil Ligget, bummer that.

I had work today, only a half day which is good, I was a bit late though, which was not so great, what with talk about how we need to work the opening shift, but my colleagues were cool about it... having said that I was literally like 1 minute late. So I really don't need to stress :OP

So work went rather well, except I ended up having a headache towards the end of it and I wanted to buy some new black work socks (my other ones are starting to get holes in them) so rather than head directly home I went shopping. I was thinking I might get them from David Jones or Myer, which are the more expensive places, but I ended up at old reliable K-Mart, where I considered buying some new casual black pants, but not only was the queue to the registers super long, the pants all seem to be for giants or something, and I didn't really want to spend money getting the hems taken up. Also they didn't have the socks I was looking for. So then I went to Big W rather than run for the bus where I found pants that weren't too long and the socks, so hooray! Although by the time I got home the headache was rather painful, and there was only an hour and a half before church.

Lucky for me, the ibprofuen I took kicked in by the time church started, although I felt ridiculously tired and I swear I almost nodded off for a second, LOL.

Anyway, it's nearly half-past now, so I shall be off. Wish me luck tomorrow!

11:25pm: Nope, not at all...I stayed up too late last night like a dumbass and also the night before...so yeah, I'm very sleepy, which sucks because the Fed-Ex is playing his Semi-Final tonight and I can't watch it because it's the second one and the first one is definitely going to go to four sets. Balls :OP

I did a least get to see a shot of the Fed-Ex hanging at the Player's Restaurant watching the action. LOL, he's cool as a cucumber. But seriously, I can't believe I've hardly seen any Wimbledon this year?! I don't remember it being such a problem previously? Although I have noticed they don't seem to be reshowing games in the day time...it's probably all on the internet now, bah!

I'm also feeling pretty bummed about Le Tour, I can't get into it without Phil Liggett, it's just not the same! I wonder is he gone from commentating races all together? Is it all just interviews now? Which incidentally I never see on SBS even when I tune into the start of the coverage!

I'm also struggling a bit with my story...I'm tossing up between skipping this particular event all together, it's technically not that important to the plot and can be referred back to in later chapters or whatever. Decisions, decisions. Maybe I should skip it and see how it goes, LOL, guess my Tumblr friend was right about not posting until you've finished writing the story.

Oh yeah! That reminds me, yesterday after finishing work at the Mona Vale Library before heading for my volunteering I bought a lined notepad and put it in my Bamboo Spark and got around to trying it out. And it worked! Hooray! I was a bit worried because the pad has 90 sheets and the manual recommended only 50. So I'm hoping that'll be useful for my writing.

But anyway, I have to be off since like I said I underslept and it bit me in the butt, starting from this morning when I woke up turned my alarm off and fell back to sleep for another half hour! I was a bit late to Mrs S's which I've been doing a lot lately, stop backsliding me!

Also my tiredness led to me skipping the gym this afternoon, sigh. I expect better from me, LOL.

So yes, I bid you all goodnight!

11:38pm: Yes! On the one hand still no luck on the pinstripe pants front, on the other...I got some new work shoes for a bargain price!

The latter is important because as mentioned I went to the podiatrist's today, although I miscalculated how long it'd take me and ended up being late - do'h! - luckily I was able to call ahead and the person who had the appointment before mine arrived early so we swapped them around. Anyway the podiatrist took one look at me walking and declared my orthodics needed immediate adjustment, and also that my shoes weren't the best. Which makes sense I've had them for some time and really one is meant to change shoes once they start to wear down.

So before going to my volunteering at the library I popped into this shoe shop which as far as I've seen is sort of an outlet where shoes are cheaper. At first I didn't see any good deals, but then I saw a little basket where all the shoes were twenty bucks each! And there was a nice pair in my size specifically designed by podiatrists for foot comfort! Niiice, huh?! I wore them to the library and they've proven to be must comfortable, yaaay.

In other news, not much, and I've procrastinated on this update here as usual which means I gotta run, because there's work tomorrow! Plus I'm sleepy. :OP

Ow WTF?

anonymoose_au: (Oh Bitch Bitch Bitch)
11:42pm: Sometimes my ovaries decide to be jerkasses and give me pain in the middle of the month, because apparently PMS and cramps aren't enough of a kick in the pants. So rude! It mostly behaved itself, but for about half an hour at work today I felt like I needed to lie down or something.

Although I couldn't quite tell if it was that or some sort of digestive thing so I ended up taking some of that anti-spasmodic stuff I have. It seemed to settle things down, but who knows that could have been a coincidence.

Anyway! After work I headed home to have a quick bite to eat - I ended up running late this morning with not enough time to pack lunch! I could have kicked myself for that because it's not like I woke up late or anything. I didn't even go ice skating!

But I had some lasagna and then headed off to church, I didn't end up going to Mum and Dad's place tonight because the little bro is coming over for dinner tomorrow so I'm going to say over Monday night instead, however I did meet Dad at church (Mum went earlier today). So that was fun! I didn't think he'd show up, especially when I got there and his car wasn't there, but as it happened he decided to take his scooter.

In other news, I have to hit the hay now, so alas this entry will be short and lacking in memes (it's been ages since I've done any too! I'm going to be behidn forever!), but I will report my house is still rather messy, however I have set up my Christmas tree! I really need to get a smaller star topper for the tree though...the current one is so huge it's rather ridiculous.

11:36pm: The Super Moon that is! The best time to see it was last night, but in typical Aussie style the sky was quite cloudy especially on the horizon so the moon couldn't be seen until it was high up.

I was hoping to get at much better view tonight as the sky has cleared up nicely! According to the news moon-rise was at 8:18pm, but when I went outside to look I couldn't see anything! I went out a bit later, but still nothing. :O( I popped out just now and the moon was there, and quite bright! But it didn't really look any bigger than usual, because once again it was high up in the sky so there was nothing to compare it to.

I am disappoint! However, I have realised, a bit late of course, that there is a hill behind where I live and I'm pretty sure that's blocking the moon. On the other hand...maybe it's just not that big here in Aus? Like the angle might be off or something. Like when we get a lunar eclipse and it never really seems to be as spectacular as hoped. Rude!

Anywho, I didn't update yesterday because there was much discomfort yesterday and I was starting to get rather worried...and then just after midnight that time o' the month finally showed itself. Hmpf, I shouldn't say finally because it's not that late, but I could have done without the headaches. I wonder if I shoulbd investigate this...

Ooo, I just noticed Plushenko the fish was lying on the bottom of his tank, but he was just resting! Phew, I was worried there for a bit because Mum and Dad's goldfish Roger died the other day, which really sucked, because he'd been so healthy last I saw him.

This does remind me that I'm supposed to do the water change...with any luck I'll have time to do that tomorrow before I need to head to the school and then on to M and Grandpa's.

And I can't believe I almost forgot to mention that I went to work today! The Library called me in for a shift yesterday afternoon. However, I didn't make the best impression with it as I ended up being late! Most of it was my own fault, but I wasn't helped by a jerkass behind me who when I spotted a parking spot wouldn't let me back up and then had the nerve to steal it when I moved forward with the plan to turn around. What an asshole! I could have kicked his car when I walked past it from where I ended up parking, far, far FAR down the street, but I'd forgotten what his car looked like by then.

Anyway I was late enough that the librarian on duty actually pointed it out! She said she didn't mind, but it's not a good look.

Aside from that work went pretty well, except for when this old lady showed up and got quite agitated, as it turns out she's a known 'pest' and the Council refuses to deal with her so I shouldn't have given her the council's phone number. Having said that, you'd think she'd have it all ready?

After work I decided - what the Hell - I'd go ice skating and hope the traffic would be OK at 4pm when I'd be heading back (that's generally the start of peak hour) and not wait for the last hour of the session.

It was lots of fun! :OD And there were a lot of good ice skater there for their training sessions, ones that can do the jumps and spins and all that jazz. Inspiring to watch for sure! Also, the rink is nowhere near as busy at that time of day. So maybe I should go during the week instead of Saturday afternoon.

And, yikes I've just seen the time! I better wrap this up and hit the hay!

Day Off!

Oct. 18th, 2016 11:46 pm

11:31pm: Yes! Which was pretty cool, although I've had days off here and there before, this is the beginning of my new work schedule so it was special.

Anyway, I didn't actually go to bed when I said I would so I set my alarm later, but I still got to the gym before Mum came to pick me up to go to the movies. Although I didn't time things quite right so I didn't have a chance to have a shower, whoops. I really wish I had better time keeping skills...

But the movie Bridget Jones's Baby was great! Really funny. I have to admit I was a bit worried after seeing a less than glowing review of it on ABC 24, but you can't really trust critics a lot of the time can you? I mean they thought The Matrix was amazeballs :OP and my personal opinion was that it sucked! I have to say they had some flashback scenes in the movie and gee you can see how much older the actors are. Time is a cruel mistress. :OP

After the movie Mum and I went to the restaurant in the cinema complex where I shared a plate of very yummy chips with Mum while she had garlic prawns. We had planned to have pizza, but first of all they didn't serve it until dinner time and secondly, no pizzas with pineapple on it! How rude! There's been a lot of anti-pineapple on pizza sentiment lately. :OP

Well, I've left updating a little too late so I'll have to be off now so I can get a proper amount of zzzs!

Oh and I almost forgot! I got a choc-top ice cream at the movies too, always yummy, although one does always end up having to eat it before the movie even starts, LOL. Well worth it though.

11:37pm: In a very ill advised move I decided not to plug my phone in last night figuring it had enough charge in it.

Spoiler: It did not.

So, at ten to nine I woke up realising to my horror that the alarm hadn't gone off and even worse because my phone was totally dead I couldn't even call Mrs S to let her know I was alive and on my way! Then there was the adding complication of the fact that on Fridays there's this market at the sports fields behind Mrs S's place and for the last few Fridays all the parking spots at Mrs S's are taken! As happened today so was even later, do'h!

I felt super bad when I finally got there because originally Mrs S had planned to take her mother and sister (and husband) on a ride on the ferry to take in the view of Sydney Harbour. But because of my lateness this plan had to be scrapped :O(

However, the were able to go on a picnic to Balmoral Beach, I hope they didn't get overheated, because it was absolutely hot as Hell today! Which meant that it was quite hot inside the Granny Flat even after I put the air con - since I'm still not sure I've set it up quite right. This had a further negative impact in the form of a terrible headache, which decided to strike not half an hour before I had to leave to sign the contract to lock the apartment in.

Even worse there was a change of venue, instead of meeting at the Dee Why office Mum said we needed to go to the solictor's office in Forestville a good twenty to thirty minute drive! And the headache was getting worse! I took some paracetamol, but it took time to kick in and I didn't think I'd be able to drive. Which didn't go over well with Dad who had done the drive all the way from Canberra and wanted to go to the school to set up some stuff.

The headache was bad enough that I went to my parents' house to lie down while Dad dropped Mum off at the solicitors office - but he didn't have to sign anything because apparently Mum had got the instructions mixed up! Mum though still had to pick up some documents so once my headache settled down I went and picked her up and then it was to Dee Why to the realtor office.

And...in the end Dad had to come there to sign something after all! OMG fail! Suffice to say, Dad was quite annoyed, hopefully it didn't ruin his evening.

And now, it's off to bed with me because I've been staying up too late this week as evidenced by what happened this morning!

Goodnight all!

10:43pm: I forgot to mention this last entry, but yesterday when I was trying to figure out what to wear to my cousin's belated birthday party I realised that I sewed my green pants wrong (they spilt in the crotch region, how embarrassing! :OP) and as a result they didn't sit right. Damn, gotta fix that...

So I felt I should wear jeans, the problem is the ones I got from Aldi are proving the adage "You get what you pay for" because they're all ready starting to split in the crotch regions as well! However, after my not so good week a fortnight ago I've lost a bit of weight so I decided to put on the pair that used to fit. They're still tight, but not painfully tight at least so that was a relief.

Then I needed to figure out what shoes to wear, I originally decided on my green boots, putting them on required me to unroll the bottoms of my jeans - they're too long so I have them rolled up all the time pretty much - and when I did that what did I discover...?

My Aldi fitness tracker!! The one I thought I lost last month! Somehow it ended up safely ensconced in the rolled hem! I did wonder if it would work since I'm pretty sure I washed those jeans...although the thing is apparently waterproof, but that's for swimming, which is quite different from being swished around in a washing machine! But I plugged it into it's recharger thingy and when I got home from the party it was alive again! Hooray! Except...I'm not sure what to do with it now that I have my Jawbone Up. I did offer to give it to Mrs S, except she only wants to use it once to see how well she sleeps (in records how much you move in sleep mode and how much deep or light sleep you get). But it's good to have it back...if embarrassing because seriously?

Anyway! Moving along, I've got to get it together re: leaving in the morning, I was late to Mrs S's place today for like the third time in a row! Only by about six or seven minutes, but it's not a good look particularly after the library job interview. As I've mentioned because of the nature of the job you can't just give a week's notice and start a new job, at least not if you don't want to be an asshole. Someone needs to be trained well-enough to be confident to work alone before you do. Now I don't think I'm going tog get the library job - unless the other interested parties have zero experience, but since Mrs S all ready put signs up "just in case" if I slack off too much on the start time I might find myself being replaced!

Which sounds terrible, but remember Mrs S relies on her carers to get up and start her day and uncertainty stresses her out as much as it does me. As bad as losing the job would be (knock on wood!) I can get something else with my qualifications, Mrs S can't just rustle up a carer out of nowhere.

So yes, gotta get to bed earlier, which means I better do a Meme or two because I'm totally behind!

I-Day

Jul. 14th, 2016 11:09 pm
anonymoose_au: (Hey! Bitches)
10:31pm: Which stands for Interview Day and...I did OK in terms of being able to answer questions and make eye-contact, but I'm pretty sure I'm not getting this job. I have no idea what the Staff Manager person at Dee Why Library was thinking when she recommended I apply for it because it's a seriously senior role. Like I'd be responsible for four people! o.O And figuring out what books are to be purchased! And balancing budgets?!

Yeah...no...

Also, it was so damn cold this morning I had trouble psyche-ing myself up to get out of bed and as a result I was a bit late to Mrs S's this morning, which I'm pretty sure ended up with me finishing after 10:30 and ending up being 5 minutes late to the interview! Shiiiit, that never looks good either. Plus, I realised later in the day that I forgot to do a rather important chore at Mrs S's before I dashed out today. Double shiiiit.

Anyway, after the interview I decided to pop down to the Aldi on Manly Wharf because there were some things I wanted to buy there and I had lunch at Nandos. Man, if I could get a job as a library ASSISTANT at Manly Library I'd be all over that in flash, it's such a lovely area! I remember the good ol' days when I worked there at ITP.

I did discover to my disappointed that the Salvation Army second hand shop has closed down permanently there! Whaaat? When the Hell did that happen?! That place was really good too. :O(

After I finished up at Manly I headed towards Dee Why and the library there, making a brief detour to the Mall because even though I hadn't got my Target $10 coupon thing there was this washing rack thing Mrs S wanted so I bought her that.

Anywho, as it happened the Staff Manager person was on Annual Leave so I didn't get a chance to talk to her after all, I also heard back from my Supervisor at Mona Vale Library who said that - unfortunately - if I did get this job they couldn't do a secondment for me, so if I did get it and it ends in 10 months I'll be kind of screwed. At least library wise...with my TAFE qualifications I can do Aged and Home Care.

And after I finished my volunteering I went to my parents place to talk about jazz. The apartment in Dee Why possibility remains possible...although I'm not sure if would actually work if I don't have a full-time job. I dunno...I suppose I could see about working at Mum's place of business a couple of afternoons a week or something.

Mum and I also discussed "The MOVE", some leeway was made, such as booking the moving man and setting up a time to go and look at a second hand fridge and washing machine. Also, the agent called as she was with the tenant at the new place and said I could have her old wardrobe for free, but pretty much everything else had been sold, which means I also need to get a table and chairs.

Oh! And get Dad's spare microwave, because I don't have one of those either.

Right, I guess I better head to bed, that's probably part of my issue with getting up in the mornings. :OP

11:11pm: Indeed so! I opened The Sims 3 to see about making the McFly House and in typical Sims style two hours has flown by like that!

And I still have to do my Russian before I hit the hay!

Moving on, once again my time keeping skills or lack there of failed me - I decided to go to the gym, and even though I really shortened my routine I ended up being in quite a rush to get to work! Which is never good for digestive system, but I was mostly OK. At least until after my break while at work...guess I shouldn't have had eaten that chocolate! It's still super annoyed right now. :O(

IBS aside, work went well! It was quite busy when the library opened and then tapered off, although yet again there were still a few people dilly-dallying and we ended up closing a little later than usual. But we kept on top of the shelving so yay! :O)

Hmmm, well, looks like this entry can be quite short then, because there's not much more else to say, except I'm very much enjoying my new powder puff with powder that I got the other day at Priceline, gives me a nice rosy scent. :OP

11:00pm: So, I changed my doona to the winter one yesterday so that I only had to have my electric blanket on for a few hours instead of the whole night.

The bad news that when my alarm went off this morning it was so nice and toasty instead of the chilliness of previous mornings that I let myself nod off and even though it felt like only a minute or so when I opened my eyes again almost an hour had passed! O.o

This meant that I had five minutes to get to work! An impossiblity so I had to call Mrs S to let her know I'd be late, before throwing on my clothes, having a quick breakfast of mandarin and a slice of cheese and hit the road.

Fortunately, since I live so close now I only ended up been ten minutes late, so phew! Still, quite embarrassing. I better be careful...once again we see the importance of jumping out of bed as soon as one's alarm goes off.

In other news, Mum was very pleased by how tidy my flat was, hooray! :OD Of course, I did come home right after work to do more cleaning (so I'm going to need to go to the gym tomorrow and Friday to get my two days a week in). Although I didn't just clean, I also overlocked all the seams of my shirt, even unpicking the lower hem so I could do that to stop it from fraying since if I do a rolled hem the shirt will be too short.

Then it was off to the school to help Mum with her class - and once again I cut it a bit close, I definitely need to leave no later than 2:05pm. Then it was back to my humble abode to wipe down the kitchen counters before Mum arrived with a treat - a piece of black forest cake to share, yum!

I also asked Mum when she'd next be swimming, she said tomorrow just after lunch, so I'll be going there after I finish up with Mrs S. There's an old exercise bike in the pool area so I guess I'll use that or maybe just go to the gym after I finish at the library. Who knows.

After Mum left I redid the bottom of the sleeves on my purple shirt and after reading the manual decided to give it a go with the buttons. I don't think I did it quite right, I had to do it by turning the flywheel manually rather than using the peddle, but maybe that's how it's done? The manual wasn't entirely clear on that point.

Right! Now it's quite late and even though I got extra sleep, the jury's still out on whether a person can actually build up a sleep bank.

So goodnight all!

11:39pm: I even have the sign for it! The lightbox I bought from Aldi. ;O)

So yes! Mum made the dinner (lasagna and salad - I provided the carrot and cucumber for that), I provided the venue and Dad as well as the little bro attended, success! It's been ages since we've seen the little bro, but he's doing well at his new job and even took a quick weekend trip with his flatmade/friend.

Before that, it was a busy day! I didn't go to Spotlight, which turned out to be for the best because unfortunately there was a bad accident on the road I would have taken to get there and traffic was backed up for pretty much the whole day as a result! Thankfully, no-one was killed (I hope) and to top it off a crane broke down as well, so yeah it was a real mess.

I also ended up being a bit late to the SRE meeting and later on to the SRE class itself, and I didn't even end up been able to put into a proper workout on the gym. Booo. Ah well, I'll go again tomorrow for my last hurrah. Then I have to decide if I'm joining the gym just around the corner or if that might be a bad idea if I end up having to move somewhere else (knock on wood).

Anyway, I better make this short - sorry! - because it's getting late.

Oh! And Dad helped me with the spring on the green chair, so I'm back in it again, hopefully it'll hold up, but maybe I'll buy a zigzag spring just in case, although I have no idea how I'd put it in.

Right, I'm also a bit sleepy which is another reason to wrap this up, LOL.

Before I go, I have to also note that I managed to clean my flat up, whoo! I did have to do a bit more tidying after the parentals arrived but it's all good. :O)

11:44pm: Hmpf, spell it like it sounds my ass. That's what I've heard about Russian, that unlike the horror that is English, there's no surprises when it comes to spelling, but that's a load of bullshit. When 'a's sound like 'o's or sometimes 'u's good luck figuring out how to spell the damn word when listening to it.

But I suppose that's true of all languages...Man, I wonder if I'll possibly ever learn too read it at least a little.

Anyway, it wasn't the greatest start to today, I definitely need to wake up earlier because I left for work late and I think as a result I had a bit of a panic attack while driving which of course, meant that I ended up being even later. Because panic attacks like to pull that bullshit on you...panic for no reason huh?Well, now you got one.

Anyway, I had to call Mum fortunately she was able to calm me down enough so I could I actually keep driving, for a few minutes there I thought I wasn't going to be able to and would need to get her to come and get me.

So I got to work 15 minutes late, which is totally not a good look...and I didn't really want to tell them about the panic issue because that'd require a whole lot of bruhaha. But I also found out something not too good at all when I was asking about what phone number to call if I'm running late in the future...apparently there's only two staff who are full-time there! The rest are all part-time! The fuck? So basically I'll never get full-time work there. God damn casualisation of the work force, once again society has let me down.

Right, I hoping to go ice skating tomorrow so I better head off and get some shut eye, I want to be well-rested!

And now, goodnight!

11:59pm: Well, shit, no time to update as I lost track of time.

This was the story of my day! Starting this morning when I ended up leaving to get to work at 8:30, which is when I'm supposed to arrive there! o.O Luckily Mrs S was understanding...although of course I got to be even later because of slow traffic and a truck getting stuck on the road.

Then my watch let me down a bit with getting to the library, at least...I think it did. Towards closing time I discovered it was like ten minutes slow! O.o Although no-one said anything about me being late so make of that what you will.

Anyway, the vacuum cleaner was thankfully charged so I was able to get the place looking decent for the real estate agent to look at, though there was some last minute cleaning of the toilet and whatnot, LOL. Mum actually said the place looked fine when she came with me to help take down the stuff that needs to be taken to M and Grandpa's garage.

Right, so it's actually past midnight now, but we'll just pretend it's not and I'll wrap this up here :OP

Goodnight all!

11:31pm: And I should be snoring! :OP

Alas, I'm updating my Dreamwidth instead! Shame on me, particularly since I didn't get enough sleep last night and as a result when my alarm woke me up this morning I didn't get up right away and the next thing I knew it was 8am! I didn't even have time for a shower! All the same I was ten minutes late to Mrs S's.

In other news, I made the decision to go to the Mall in my car, figuring that maybe there'd be some parking spaces on the street what with the pouring rain and the fact it was still the holidays.

Big mistake! I forgot to consider the fact that with it being school holidays and the weather that the mall was the place to be! Shiiit. As a result I was half an hour late to work as I fruitlessly searched for a spot, I even resigned myself to paying $7 to park in one of the parking lots at the Mall, but there were so many cars in the one I entered that I gave up on that venture.

In the end I had to park in a one hour spot, but since the parking rangers rarely if ever come out in the rain I figured it was safe. Fortunately, it didn't pour too hard while I was walking from my car to the library or when I went home after finishing either.

The Mall Library was nowhere near as busy as the Dee Why Library had been, at least in terms of books returned - although it was open three days last week, although around 3pm it seemed like everyone and their dog returned their books! We managed to get through them so phew!

Anyway, I also returned my gumboots, and when I checked my messages I realised Mrs S had called me yesterday about seeing some gumboots somewhere in Dee Why, I'll have to ask her for more info tomorrow.

And I hoped to make the biscuits this evening, since it's Ephiphany tomorrow and thus all Christmas decos and whatnot should be put away, but I don't have any baking paper or a tray. I'm not sure if I should buy that or just borrow some from my parents...hmmm, maybe I'll see how the biscuits turn out with borrowed stuff. And if I prove to have a skill maybe I can invest in my own bakeware.

Operation Dress continues, I thought I'd finished tonight but things are still crooked so I have to redo it...Man, I hope it doesn't fall apart with all this picking apart! Wish me luck!

Right, I better go, no memes tonight but I'll get back to you on that.

For now, goodnight!

11:33pm: I probably shouldn't have, but JB Hi-Fi was having a buy two get one free thing going on and they had all the Rugrats DVDs (I think) and I could't help myself. It cost me $115 all up, but that was for 9 DVD boxsets! Sadly, they don't seem to have any special features, but I've always wanted to see all the Rugrats episodes, Australia didn't broadcast them all.

In other news...my eyeballs are quite sore at the moment, beats me why, I haven't been on the laptop all day or anything. Bit of a mystery really.

Perhaps it's because I had such a busy day, since it was ice skating day, so I got down to business right away putting on my laundry, however I managed to screw up the timing so the second load didn't end until after 1pm and then I hung them out before heading off for Macquarie. By this time though, it was a quarter to two! Obviously, I was going to cut it close, but then to top it off I got almost all the red lights!

So in the end I only got half an hour worth of skating today, booo. Still the cashier at the ice skating rink were nice enough to charge me $13 instead of the usual $14.

After I bought all the DVDs I headed off for church, getting there in good time, yay. However, the regular organist is back and things got a bit awkward because the strange lad from the other week was back, he's the Altar Assistant's son after all (although I'm not sure where the kid has been before last week, I've never seen him there before), and the Organist can't abide people chatting in church at the best of times! I think the kid might have ADD or something because he chats a lot and can't keep still. I guess his father thought maybe he could be the back-up PowerPoint person, but with such scatterbrainedness that's rather unlikely.

The mystery continues!

Anyway, due to my eyeballs I shall forego the Memes for today and hope they'll be OK tomorrow!

And now, I'm off! Goodnight all!

10:19pm: And I have to begin work early tomorrow, like at 7:30 so I need to head off to bed.

I had to start work at 8am today as previously stated, and I was a bit late, because I took the car and miscalculated with timing, so I better not do that tomorrow.

It did make it handy to get to M and Grandpa's afterwards where M and I got down to business with Canasta, while Grandpa headed out to do the shopping.

I'm pleased to say I got a great start! Including a red Canasta! However, when Grandpa got home he managed to distract me and I made a huge blunder, I tried to pick up the pack when I didn't have enough cards to make a meld. Boooo! We didn't finish the game so it's not a total loss but I lost my thousand point lead. Daaang.

Oh well, lunch was well worth it, Grandpa and I had spaghetti bologanise (M had chicken salad), which was most delicious, although it did interfere with the plan I had to night for lasagna, Grandpa kindly got my bologanise mince (which I forgot to pay him for, oops!) while he was shopping - he had trouble finding it but eventually managed, but yeah I was minced out. Plus it was a late lunch.

And now, I must be off! I need to be asleep by 10:45 if I'm going to get my 8 hours!

For now goodnight!

11:14pm: I swear to God, in the last few hours it's decided to go as sloooowly as possible, I couldn't even get to Dreamwidth on my laptop, it seems to be working on my tablet so that's what I'm on now. I haven't used it in quite some time so I guess that's a plus.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with anything, bit I'm watching The FBI Files on CI and have just noticed that they pronounce escapees as esape-ees not es-ca-pees as we do here in Aus (and I assume the UK). What is weird is that I've seen this episode before and have only just noticed this today. Bit slow on the uptake me...

What else to report, well, I screwed up my timing getting to church today, I decided to take the bus from around the corner at 3:54 rather than the bus just outside my place at 3:24. I didn't think it would be so bad, but I managed to just miss an L90 and by the time the next limited stops bus came it was nearing 4:30! Long story short I got to church as the first hymn was finishing up! Luckily, the computer had been set up and it seemed someone was going to do the PowerPoint in my absence, unfortunately being bad with names as I am I have no idea who it was, and didn't have a chance to ask her when Mass finished if she'd be able to do it if there was a possibility I wouldn't be able to come. Do'h.

In other news, it was quite muggy all day and it started to rain as I caught the bus home, which was a big worry indeed because I did my washing today and it was still hanging on the line! Fortunately, it had only sprinkled a bit and my lights were mostly dried when I got them. Had to hang up some of them along with the darker colours.

And that's pretty much all I have to say, the memes will have to be put on hold until I can access Dreamwidth on my laptop again.

I did find out some good news, starting soon the people in the main house will be switching to a larger bandwidth plan so with any luck I won't be dealing with this crap again.

On that note, I bid you all good night!

11:44pm: And not just in terms of the NaNo, which I'm sorry to say I didn't reach even the 1,667 daily target (although since I'm running behind I really should be doing more!) but I'm kind of out of time, I shall have to make up the words later.

Right now there's an episode of The Simpsons I've never seen before! Must be the newer seasons that I don't get much of a chance to watch because Channel 10 doesn't put the show on anymore in a regular manner.

But that was distracting from the reason for my subject heading and that reason was, despite the late start to TAFE today, I in typical Moose style managed to miss the buses that would get me there in time and I was a whole 20 minutes late. Fail!

On the plus side I don't think I even missed that much, but still how damn annoying, I tried to get help from my mother who doesn't work on Monday, but alas no luck there. I really should look into how long it actually takes me to walk to the other bus stop because I don't actually know and as it turned out I was off by about two or three minutes.

Speaking of two or three minutes, it's almost midnight so time for me to haul ass to bed! And...here's the word count:

18012 / 50000 words. 36% done!

Wish me luck with catching up! Goodnight for now!
