11:48pm: Yes! With it being Easter I get the weekend off from the library yet I still get paid! Sweet. Also good because I didn't do my laundry as usual this afternoon once I finished at Mrs S's because when I game home I procrastinated then when I went to my parents place to pick up my water bottle I left my bag behind necessitating a trip back there! Fail, LOL.

Anywho, it's been a good day all in all, although I'm rather sleepy which means this is gonna be a short entry - which considering that I didn't update yesterday is badly done of me! :OP Not that anything super exciting happened yesterday...I did get to have dinner with Mum and Dad before we went to Holy Thursday Mass which was nice.

This morning was interesting, I totally forgot that even though it's Good Friday they still have the Morning Markets at the sporting fields behind Mrs S's place. And because not many things are open today - it's a public holiday - it was a total madhouse there! Heaps and heaps of cars! I left my house a bit late so, you know, I ended up being extra late. Fail again. But Mrs S wasn't too annoyed, plus I got to show her my Pusheen purchases! I still haven't uploaded the photo yet! You'll have to wait on tenterhooks a bit more. :OP

And now, I'm off to bed.

11:58pm: And I totally meant to go to bed early because I was so sleepy today! In fact, it ended up been a rather dangerous as I almost drifted off when driving back from my psychiatrist appointment! Like I ended up drifting out of my lane a bit! O.o Obviously I should have pulled over before that and rested up or something.

As it was I ended up taking a nap before heading off to the gym.

Yeah, I have no idea why I was so sleepy, maybe it was how bad the traffic was this morning! I ended up being fifteen minutes late to the appointment. Not only was the traffic terrible, I kept getting all the red lights, seriously? What the Hell? How does life always know?! :OP

But the traffic really was bad, bad enough that it made it onto the news! Having said that, it was on the other side of the bridge, but Sydney traffic does tend to have a domino affect. So it was a good thing Mum didn't come over this afternoon because I wouldn't have got back until 2pm and then as I said I was tired as Hell.

Anyway, I better head off, and chalk this up to another case of short entry syndrome. But, I did send in my application for the job although I didn't get a chance to speak to the contact person...sometimes she comes in on weekends though so maybe I'll see her then.

Right, I'm off to bed now, goodnight all!

11:39pm: I even have the sign for it! The lightbox I bought from Aldi. ;O)

So yes! Mum made the dinner (lasagna and salad - I provided the carrot and cucumber for that), I provided the venue and Dad as well as the little bro attended, success! It's been ages since we've seen the little bro, but he's doing well at his new job and even took a quick weekend trip with his flatmade/friend.

Before that, it was a busy day! I didn't go to Spotlight, which turned out to be for the best because unfortunately there was a bad accident on the road I would have taken to get there and traffic was backed up for pretty much the whole day as a result! Thankfully, no-one was killed (I hope) and to top it off a crane broke down as well, so yeah it was a real mess.

I also ended up being a bit late to the SRE meeting and later on to the SRE class itself, and I didn't even end up been able to put into a proper workout on the gym. Booo. Ah well, I'll go again tomorrow for my last hurrah. Then I have to decide if I'm joining the gym just around the corner or if that might be a bad idea if I end up having to move somewhere else (knock on wood).

Anyway, I better make this short - sorry! - because it's getting late.

Oh! And Dad helped me with the spring on the green chair, so I'm back in it again, hopefully it'll hold up, but maybe I'll buy a zigzag spring just in case, although I have no idea how I'd put it in.

Right, I'm also a bit sleepy which is another reason to wrap this up, LOL.

Before I go, I have to also note that I managed to clean my flat up, whoo! I did have to do a bit more tidying after the parentals arrived but it's all good. :O)

10:58pm: The Night of Champions ice skating show I saw tonight that is! :OD So many awesome routines and I got autographs! :OD

Anyway, I planned to go to the last hour of the 3pm to 5pm session, but I ended up getting there a bit later than hoped because I got all the red lights on the way to the ice rink, plus there were a few spots where traffic was heavy.

But I got there in the end, which is the important thing, and my newly sharpened skates where great! :OD Although still no footwork in my future, LOL!

I'd parked in the Mall since I was running a bit late, my idea was originally to park on the street go skating and then move my car into the Mall parking lot, but I had to swap that around. But it all turned out all right in the end. :O)

Also, I had enough Nandos points to get a free chicken pita for dinner (whoo!) and as instructed by the guy at the rink headed back there at a quarter to six. I was quite surprised to discover a reeeallly long line! O.o Since I'd prepurchased my ticked I'd hoped there was a second line, but nope. However, it turned out they hadn't open the gate, and once they did I had got there in more that enough time to find a good seat.

It was a super fun evening! I took lots of videos, but I've only had the chance to upload this one. It's a sychronised three man backflip! So coool.

And I got autographs from some of the skaters too. :OD

I've just noticed the time, I need to get my butt to bed now, there's still one day more of work to be done! I shall report more on what I've seen etc tomorrow.

9:37pm: Right...so I just called the local council to make an appointment to have the E-Waste picked up next week...but I soooo failed at it. You had to leave your address and where the e-waste would be, and fuuuck man I suddenly turned into Tony Abbott with absolutely no ability at intelligible speech. I'm so going to have to call them tomorrow morning and make sure they know they'll be E-waste waiting.

Man, I hate trying to leave messages for people, I either say my name and number five times or forget to identify myself at all! The only thing worse is when you ring a company and have to describe why you're calling to the voice identification software rather than by "Pressing 1 now", I always just end up going "Help" or "Operator please".

Hmmm, in other news, Mum popped by today along with a crate for me to put some of my books in so she could take them back to M and Grandpa's place. She'll be coming back tomorrow night, and in the meantime I have to figure out how I'm going to get all my crates and boxes that are currently in the back room upstairs and packed away, since I'm going to be here at the parental abode for some time. Of course this means clearing out one of the storage areas upstairs of my parents stuff, which means toting barges and lift bales, boo.

And...what else? Oh I went down to the Aldi at North Sydney to get my cheese cubes as well as some bread from the Bakers' Delight, I kind of didn't notice it was so hot today so by the time I walked down there I was thirsty as anything and hadn't brought along a bottle of water as usual. I ended up buying some chocolate milk to drink from the IGA down there. Mmm nice. Lucky for me I didn't have to wait long for a bus to get me back here.

So yeah, go some exercise today, so that was good! Tomorrow is work, so I have to keep my eye on the time.

Oh! In other news, lucky for me I wasn't at the apartment or still working today because there was a huge ass fire in the city that shut down a main road and completely fucked up the traffic. Although having said that...I imagine I would have realised how bad the traffic was and got off the bus before it reached the bridge, still.... And it's still burning! Hopefully a crane in the area won't end up collasping from the heat because that would be total chaos!

In the same vein there was a huge fire in San Francisco as well...yikes D:

And still no sign of the Malaysian Air plane...apparently terrorism is no longer top of the list of what brought the plane down, but the mystery continues. It seems it might have flown hundred of miles off course, or did it? There's a whole lot of conflicting information coming out about it, I hope there's not some kind of cover-up going on, because those people deserve to be found for their own and their families sake.

Right...that's my soapbox for today then...I'm sure you're bored of my opinions, LOL, so I shall off now.

9:53pm: Today was the Writers Group, which was great! Although the traffic was a pain in the ass, and I thought I was going to be super late, but fortunately it cleared up and I didn't end up being too ,such later than usual. Even though I managed to miss my stop again, do'h! Oh well, it wasn't too far to walk at least.

Anyway, it was good writing! I think I got about two pages done! I would have written more, but there was a soccer game on tonight and at about a quarter to 8 the pub patrons turned up the TV and it was pretty hard to concentrate! Since the bus I catch was running late I decided to cut my losses and I managed to catch it. Although, I didn't get home that much earlier because I went to the supermarket and bought some Oreos, they were on special. So yay, dessert!

I also got my pants hemmed today and I'll be wearing them tomorrow, looking forward to it! Although, one of my co-workers suggested I should have hemmed it myself. Which you know would have saved me $22, but I've never actually hemmed anything and I don't even know how one would get the right length wearing the actual pants. I mean when I bend down to take it up won't that just screw it up? Well, too late now, good thing I got those pants on a discount.

Which is something these people on Say Yes to the Dress, trying on dresses that are twice their budget. Hopeless.

And I guess I should wrap this up here, because I want to do some stuff before I go to bed.

11:05pm: The Canasta playing with M did indeed happen this morning, even though we had a rather late start and after kicking ass most of the way, I was popped at the winning post by M! Ah alas, alack, but hey that does mean she's really on the mend now, so yay.

And I got my new baubly scarf, although I did get off the bus a few times on my way back from the grandparents' to look in Vinnies shops and a Lifeline one to see if I could get one second hand. But no $40 was spent, still it was worth it!

Also despite the rain I did indeed go to Vivid with a friend tonight to see the Doctor Who light show, it was very cool although it took us forever to find a parking spot (remember kids always catch public transport into the city) and we didn't see anything else because of the rain. It looks interesting though, I might go back some time in the week when it's not raining and have a gander.

In other news, M has a sewing machine, yay! Mum's going to pick it up on Monday so I can use it at my parents place on Tuesday. Mum wants me to get a pattern though...I guess I can find one online, print it out and then blow it up to A3 size on the photocopier at work. I was just going to draw the outline with tailor's chalk, but considering what I did to my first effort better to be safe than sorry!

I hope I can do it though, I showed M a picture of what I want it to sort of look like and she thought it was way too ambitious, she liked the hat though :O)

1) This song is about a girl who can't accept how pretty she is. How do you respond to compliments? Do you accept them graciously, or do you get embarrassed? Can't say I get too many compliments, but it's probably half and half.

2) Bruno says he takes inspiration from a variety of musical styles -- everything from rock to reggae to hip hop. What kind of music do you listen to most often? I'd say pop, old school pop rock!

3) Bruno's uncle was a professional Elvis impersonator, and as a little boy Bruno also performed on stage as the King. When you picture Elvis, do you think of early rock'n'roll Elvis from the 1950s, Technicolor Hollywood Elvis of the 1960s, or the rhinestone jumpsuit Elvis who performed in Las Vegas? Er, can't say I think of Elvis that much at all. But I probably think of rhinestone jumpsuit Elvis, although he's probably thinner, LOL

4) Bruno plays several instruments onstage, including piano, guitar and congas. What instruments can you play? None, I can't even clap out a rhythm, LOL.

5) Bruno is touring all over the country this summer. What's the last concert you attended? Um... a Beach Boys one, Brian Wilson wasn't with them unfortunately.

6) Unlike some other stars, Bruno doesn't demand a lot of luxuries on the road, but he did admit to TMZ that he insists Wet Wipes be provided for his dressing room. If you could ask your boss for anything, anything at all, to make your workplace more comfortable, what would you request? At the newsagency stools to sit on! My poor tootsies! At the office, it's pretty nice there so I'm good.

7) Rumors are flying that Bruno might become a judge on American Idol. Are you an Idol fan? Do you watch any of the other "talent search" shows -- The Voice, America's Got Talent, The X Factor, etc.? No...and who the crap is Bruno anyway? My parents have got into The Voice so sometimes I watch it when I'm at their house and last year I got into Australia's Got Talent.

8) Bruno is an unapologetic cigarette smoker. Do you smoke? Have you quit? Or did you never start? Never started, it's totally gross.

9) Billy Joel also had a hit with the title "Just the Way You Are." If we were going to do karaoke, which version would you sing -- Billy's or Bruno's? As I have no idea who Bruno is I can only assume I've heard the Billy Joel version only and I don't really have an opinion on it.

2. Since we’re in the time of year that most network series air season finales, which show’s cliffhanger are you most looking forward to? N/A, I don't really watch those sorts of shows all that much.

3. If you could go behind the scenes on any TV show you watch or have ever watched, which would you choose and why? Merlin! i so wanted to go to Pierrefonds to see it being filmed, but alas...

4. Of the people who perform on the show you selected in Q3, which one would you most like to meet one-on-one? Ooo, I don't know if I could meet any of them without fainting dead away, LOL!

5. If it were up to you, which show would you most like to see go off the air? Those sleezy a current affair type shows. Journalistic integrity? hat's that?

6. Which genre of show (i.e., sitcom, drama, reality, etc.) would you most like to see more of each week? Um....dunno, but less reality shows would indeed be welcome!

10:00pm: I remembered just about everything today except for two things, one was my little pill box that I put my IBS Support pill in and the second, which is more to the point, to show up to work early to make up for my lateness on Friday. Whoops.

Oh well...I'll figure something out, maybe I can stay back late because getting to work early is an ass and requires getting up even earlier than I do. Screw that :OP

But the day went quite well indeed, except the traffic home was just terrible! I was considering going to the Writer's Group thing in Glebe, but by the time I got to Central, I couldn't be bothered. However, it turns out tonight was the last episode of the show I watch at 8pm, so I won't have to worry about missing it if I go next week, which is cool.

Hmm, I thought I had something else to say, but I can't remember what it was...oh wait, the cupcakes! Mustn't forget to make those tomorrow night, I shall put it into my phone's calender right now.

And since I didn't get to bed at a proper hour last night, I better wrap this up now and hit the hay.

11:00pm: Yes, indeedy! I recently discovered that Build-A-Bear has Pinkie Pie plushes! As there is one at the mall I went to take a look and it is indeed most fabulous, but large and a bit expensive...

So I wondered about making my own plush, although my sewing skills leave much to be desired, but during my search I found this, which is not only adorbs, but looked relatively easy. So I got some light pink and bright pink felt from an Art shop and when I got to my parents house I got to work.

I didn't plan to stay at the parentals, but there was an accident on the way to the Bridge and the traffic was ridiculous, plus I usually stay here on Tuesday anyway. Although, it was a bit annoying as I'd brought some stuff for the apartment and now I have to drag them to work and then back to the apartment tomorrow. Sigh, well, it's not that heavy at least.

Anyway, back to the Ponyloaf, I didn't get fabric for the cutie mark because I all ready have it at the apartment, so I haven't done that, but here's my effort. Cute huh? I'm particularly proud of the tail :O)

So, having done that, I don't have much to report and in fact I should be getting to bed, even if I can get up a bit later being at the parentals.

11:01pm: So today the recommended word count should be 45,000, sadly I have not hit that, but I made quite a dent in my word count since yesterday. Part of that was probably due to the adventure I had this morning on the bus, which made the trip take longer than normal. Basically, there's only one bus lane onto the Harbour Bridge and this morning a bus broke down right where the bus lane branches off with a median strip and all that. And since my bus is a big long one, we couldn't just drive over the median strip and instead had to go around block and approach it from the car lanes instead.

I was more than sure I was going to be super late to work because of all this, but as it turned out I wasn't much later than I usually am on most days! However, since I really should get to work on time this isn't anything to cheer about, LOL.

Anyway here's the word count as it stands at present:

37708 / 50000 words. 75% done!

Phew! Only 25% to go now! And three days (apparently I can't count, I though I had three days yesterday, but I forgot to count today itself) to do it. Yikes, hopefully I can swing it.

On that note I extend my congrats to crossover_chich for her win! :OD And here's hoping you finish your epic some day!

And I've still got a bit more time to write before I need to get to bed, so I'm off! Wish me luck!
