10:30pm: Yes! One of my Plurk pals (I don't know who because they were anonymous!) was giving away two month paid accounts to a few lucky friends who put their name in. Which I did and as a result was one of the lucky ones who got one! So now I have my Pinkie Pie Mood theme to compliment the rest of my journal, yaaaay!

I can also use more icons...at least for two months, LOL, I suppose I may as well upload a few while the going is good, the account will expire oddly enough on my big brother's birthday on 15th September.

In other good news, my new mobile phone case arrived today! It's very nice, and the black holder bit for the actual phone is a more mallable plastic kind of material, which I hope won't end up breaking away like the case I had before. The only downside is the volume and button that turns off the screen are covered, they still work, but they're not quite lined up with the intentations of the black holder part. Ah well, they seem to work OK from the fiddling around I've done with it.

Moving on, I took the buses to work today, it worked quite well! And also allowed me to get quite a bit of reading done, which is the main reason I like catching public transport. Although I suppose with the Casual Pool situation I should err on the side of car taking, but perhaps not the buses to Mona Vale run pretty often, I guess I'll just need to check how quickly I can get from Mrs. S's place to the library.

Speaking of which, I still haven't received an email link for the online oritentation stuff, the HR person said she'd email a link to me by now, I wonder if I should call tomorrow or wait? I probably should call, show some iniative and stuff, it'll make me look good, right?

Finally...er...I had something to write, but I've gone and forgotten what it was now! Man, I think this is a sign I should get more sleep! I don't think I'm getting quite enough zzzs. Anyway, hopefully, whatever it was wasn't that important.

10:45pm: Yes! The little heater I got from my parents house is indeed little, but it works and thus I feel warm. It's niiiice. Although I did forget to switch on the light on the other heater for a nice woodfire effect and I'm a bit disappoint. Have to remember to do that.

Anywho! As I wrote yesterday I was at my friend's place, in my costume, which was a bit of an odessey to get because when I went over to collect it from the parentals yesterday I realised, horror of horrors the crinoline wasn't there! And I realised that I had put it in the Box Thing over at Newtown, since originally I was only supposed to be gone from there for three months. Well, shit! It was a good thing I got there earlier than usual because of the IPL appointment, which incidentally didn't actually go ahead because the machine is broken again, do'h. They didn't let me know though because I was also booked in for my eyebrow was, I wasn't sure if they actually needed doing, especially since it's $20, but when the beautician heard my tale of unemployment she offered to do it for free, how nice! I should bring her a cupcake or something next time.

So yeah, the plan was to go to Newtown on the bus, grab the crinoline and head back in time for church, Dad though managed to convince me to take the car - with him as passenger. And I'm very pleased to inform you all...I did it! I drove over the Bridge! There were a few moments when I thought I'd flip out, but I managed it! And it went well enough that I even drove back too!

And the crinoline was tucked away, but I managed to locate it, phew! So crisis averted there, because the costume just doesn't look right without it.

However, despite my success with the Bridge, driving the car after church back to the Granny Flat proved far more difficult. Firstly, I don't like driving in the dark, secondly there's a lot of hills in the north side and I'm no good on hills with manual cars and thirdly, there was an accident that left the traffic going at a crawl and what was usually a twenty minute trip max took nearly forty-five minutes!

But I got home all right, but alas, my efforts to fix the frosting for my cupcakes backfired and it went from being too sticky to being too runny, but it still tasted fine, so I glazed the cupcakes with it before putting on the costume and heading out.

By this point I was half an hour late for the party, which wasn't really a big deal, but it unsettled me nonetheless, so I was edgy and then to make matters worse the street lights here are very spaced out and thus it was very dark out. And the hills are awful! Barely five minutes out and I was trying to crawl up one of them with a line of cars right up my rear. And then in my nervousness I broke the chain on my crucifix! D:

Anyway, I ended up nearly throwing in the towel and returning back to the Granny Flat, I called the friend I was originally going to ask to give me a lift, but he was all ready at the party. So I took a deep breath, turned around to get back on the right road and continued on. I ended up using Dad's GPS to get me to my friend's house, which involved driving up a very steep curving hill that scared the shit out of me and half way there I realised I'd forgotten my little hat! The coup de grace of the whole costume, boo! But in the end I got there.

As it turned out there weren't nearly as many people at the party as there had been for the Halloween Party a couple of years ago and only half of us were in costume, LOL. Seeing as my costume was for a Comic Convention it was waaaay over the top, but hey everyone liked it, my friend's mother even commented on it when she and my friend's father got back. Still total bummer about the hat.

Anyway! A good time was had by all, when I arrived they were playing was Trivial Pursuit on the Wii, which my friend won and then I played Mario Kart with some other people and oh man, trying to do that on a Wii is crazy hard! Seriously, I came last pretty much every race! Eventually though, we found that if you put the little joystick attachment on the controller it handles like an old school controller and then I was winning like a BOSS! Although by then, the other two people had moved on to playing some other game so I had to go by myself, but some people watch me so hey still cool.

In the end I decided to stay over - my friend had mentioned that there was room - because I didn't want to go out into the dark again and when the party ending, she, her boyfriend (another friend of mine - in fact he's the one who brought her into the group) and I watched the pilot episode of MacGyver (so hilarious) and then it was off to bed.

My friend lent me a pair of PJs, but I had nothing to change into this morning, so I had to put my costume back on - minus the wig, gloves and crinoline of course to get back home. Which reminds me, when I woke up my friend was still asleep so I left without saying goodbye, he father was up and said he'd pass on the message but I was going to call her later today, but I forgot...

So yeah I went back to the granny flat, got on some proper clothes had breakfast and later lunch before getting back in the car to return it to Dad, I almost considered waiting until tomorrow to do that, but when I got into it this morning I discovered Dad had left his manbag with his wallet and licence in it (so even if he'd wanted to use Mum's car to get around he couldn't) and then I went to to the gym.

My workout went great, right up to the end when after taking my shower I went to open my locker in the change room and...it wouldn't open!

WTF?! Now, the locker I used is sometimes temperamental but this is the first time its refused to open! And everything was in it because I'd just been swimming before the shower so all I had on was a towel! Eventually I had to ask a fellow gym goer to go to the front desk and ask for some help.

So, someone came with the master cards, none of which worked! As you can imagine I was really beginning to worry now. If it couldn't be opened what was I going to do? Even if I could contact Dad (my mobile phone was in the locker, but I could have borrowed one I guess) all my clothes are here at the Granny Flat so...

Eventually, after about fifteen minutes the upstairs control people got the locker open remotely, phew! Unfortunately, the time that had passed meant I missed my bus and would have to wait for another hour, do'h! Of course, I went back to the parental abode, so it's not like I had to sit on a bench for that whole time, shivering, but still, quite annoying.

But, as I said, I got back here, complete with some leftover spaghetti from Dad that tasted delicious! Although my attempt to resurrect the frosting by adding more butter hasn't done any good at all, bah!

And finally, I'm slightly worried because I can't actually find the little hat that goes with my costume now, I'm more than sure I had it over here, but it's nowhere to be seen. Man, I hope it isn't in one of the bottom baskets, it might be squashed then!

Anywaaay, this has been an epically long post, so I'm gonna hold off on the Memes until tomorrow.

10:46pm: Indeed! There were co-ordinated protest marches today, peaceful ones of course, against our current crappy government, but alas work (and a niggling pain in my lower abdominal area) prevented me from attending. That sucked because I really wanted to - I even made a (very shitty) sign!

So yeah...I'm reminded of the fact the last protest I wanted to go to I couldn't because it was on a Saturday and I was working on that day, now it's happened again. Hmpf!

In further news on the political scene, Tasmania has decided to be an idiot and vote the Liberals in, but South Australia looks to be showing a bit more intelligence, don't let us down SA!

Aside from that, not much else to report, although this week's My Little Pony episode was totally awesome! But that was to be expected because it centered on Pinkie Pie, who as we know is the best pony! ;O)

Now, I better get onto those Memes because despite my promises last night I went to bed at like 1am, which was a poor decision particularly as it took me aaaages to nod off, I need to catch up on my zzzzz's damnit!

10:47pm: Indeedy! Today was My Little Pony day and I watched episode 12, a Pinkie centred episode featuring Weird Al! OMG, it was as kick-ass (or epic ;O) as it sounds! I looove Pinkie Pie, she's just so cute! :OD And Weird Al's character Cheese Sandwich was brilliant too, I love Weird Al.

In other less fun news my right leg is killing me, the knee, hip and the general muscles...but only the right leg...which is kind of unusual, usually both legs hurt, or at least both knees. Oww, it's most uncomfortable and distracting, I sure hope it still doesn't hurt tomorrow, because I've got work! Gulp!

There's also the assignment...I've almost finished, except I really don't have enough references, which I've mentioned for the past few days, but I don't know what to do about it, I mean I don't feel like just stuffing quotes and whatever in for the Hell of it. Plus I have trouble enough finding references as is. Grumble grumble.

And to add further insult, Mum and I's favourite house show Homes Under the Hammer isn't on tonight, booo! Although I guess I'll be going to be earlier than usual. This would generally mean I'd be getting up early for some gym action, but I did say I wouldn't go until my assignment was done, sigh.

OH FUCK! I was moving everything upstairs for bed and I dropped my portable harddrive and it fell through the stairs and broke open! FUCK! I plugged it in and the light is flashing, but I don't know if it still works. And I put stuff on it that I wiped off my other laptops. Oh no...what if it's lost forever. FUCK I suck...I wonder if I take it to a computer place they could get the info off it. Oh please don't say its gone forever...

Fuck.

I'm just going to end this entry now, I can't even consider memes or anything else...at least I managed to save my stupid assignment on the netbook...

9:34pm: I just discovered I missed out on 6 donuts (the premium currency) in The Simpsons Tapped Out game because I didn't tap on a task even though it was highlighted because I thought it's be available later, like they usually are, but nope not this time. There's a lesson there. But still boo hiss, especially since I'm not gonna buy donuts, unlike the gems thing in My Little Pony app. Oh well, the donuts do show up with more regularity then gems do.

In other news I haven't got around to trying to fix up the toilet because I'm not really sure what to try...plus I feel lazy. :OP But I really better take a good look at it before I go to bed, because I don't want to waste anymore water (I turned off the tap this morning)!

Oh and as promised here's the definitive Pinkie Loaf! I'm very pleased with it. Hugs the Pinkie Loaf.

Not much else to report, it was Writer's Group tonight and the Bluetooth keyboard proved to be fab! I was a bit worried it would take me forever to get there because there was a fire in a building in the city (thankfully no-one was hurt) which closed down a road and caused traffic chaos! Seems it had settled by the time I left work so I wasn't too late at all. Although unfortunately, the air conditioning in the pub ended up being a bit much so I left earlier than I intended too. Still I got some good writing done.

Speaking of writing, NaNo sent me an email from my novel-to-be which finally got me to login to the site! Although I still haven't decided what to write yet. I think Geoffrey is calling to me though...hmmmm, decisions.

And finally, I've somehow managed to overspend and the ALIA people called me up to say they couldn't process my membership fee again. Ugh fail! Well, they'll try again on Friday after I get paid again and it really should work this time. Although they did say they tried to process it last Friday...it should have worked then too, but apparently not. Weird.

Anyway, bed calls so I must be off, plus I have to check out the toilet, wish me luck!

9:32pm: This spring is being totally ridiculous, more so than usual if you ask me. After yesterday's 37 degree C oven, today was positively freezing by comparasion, especially since I only had shorts and a t-shirt to wear having stayed at my parents' house. I don't think it even got to 20 degrees C! I was at work today, which meant I was inside, but every so often a breeze would blow through the newsagency and leave me shivering. And getting home was no picnic either, especially since I had to stop by my mother's workplace to pick up the lamp because I couldn't take that to work. Not that I had trouble getting it, it just meant more walking in the cold breeze.

But on the upside, I have the lamp! And my apartment is looking quite fabulous if I do say so myself. Two New York skyline lamps really add taste and style to my place! What say you?

In other news, I'm a bit concerned, I was coughing this morning, which I think was due to not swallowing a mouthful of fried egg properly, but I also had a runny nose, which I think is hayfever and tiredness, which I'm pretty sure is because I didn't get enough zzzs. However, it could be a cold since there has been one going around the office. I sure hope not though, I hate trying to get work when I have a cold. I should have bought some mandarins.

Although, it could well be hayfever...and lack of sleep, fingers crossed!

Not much else to report, oh, I've stuffed the Pinkie Loaf, she's looking good! Especially since I made a new tail for her, it looks a bit more Pinkie-ish if I do say so myself. Might need to look into the mane at some point though. I can't quite figure out how to do it though... sewing is hard, man.

Right, further to my statements about lack of sleep, I should get myself to bed. Besides if it is a cold (knock on wood!) extra zzzzs can only do it good, right.

And I have some herbal hayfever relief which I'm going to keep taking and hope for the best on that front.

11:11pm: Aw damnit, I thought maybe I had solved the mystery of why my bluetooth keyboard wasn't working properly last week when the battery low indication light went off. But charging it up hasn't done any good, some keys are still not working! I downloaded an app that said it'd help fix it up, but nothin' doing. I haven't got around to testing the keyboard with my old Dell laptop (which has bluetooth), I was going to do that tonight, but I was busy finishing up my picture collecting for Pinkie's mood theme. I'm happy to report that I've got allll the piccies now! Of course, I still have to make them the right size for a mood theme and all that jazz.

Oh and I had my hopes raised by the fact that a branded Motorola bluetooth keyboard is available for less than $30 on Amazon.com, but wouldn't you know it? No delivery to Australia, bloody rude!

In other news, Writer's Group this evening! Alas the bluetooth keyboard issue means I didn't get much writing done at all, boo! I also order some fries since I've got some money now and despite ordering the kids size the portion I got was absolutely enormous! I have no idea what an adult size portion would be! I ended up taking a third of it home, and I've just finished eating it. Good chips though! Even cold!

And right now I'm watching Homes Under the Hammer! I forgot that it was on on Wednesdays! I'm reminded of the fact I don't have enough of those audio-visual cables to plug all my various electronics in. Also I still don't know what to do re: the remote issue. Getting a proper branded one is quite expensive, but I'm not sure if I want to risk going the universal remote option. Hmmm...maybe I could borrow Dad's and see if it works and if it does buy one of my own. That's actually a good plan...go me!

And OMG, I was a quarter of an hour late to work today! Major ass fail! Maybe I shouldn't try too hard to be on time, I seem to jinx myself when I do. Oh well...at least I exchanged Mum's slippers, although I somehow managed not to notice the bit of backing with the barcode on it in the bag and it took five minutes for the sales assistant to find the right code on the computer. Pft, fail.

And I have made my hair appointment for Saturday morning at 8am o.O so I'll be properly groomed for the family get together in Bowral. Good for me. Now I just have to decide what I'm going to wear to the shindig, guess that'll depend on the weather. Hmmm...

11:05pm: Yes, look at the time! O.o I didn't realise it was so late! But I'm getting very close to gathering all the pictures for my Pinkie Pie mood theme, although I'll have to actually make the mood theme icons once this all done. So I don't think I'll be finishing it up tonight.

In other news, I went to the gym this morning, good times, but as it turned out though my mother had lent me the car I had to rush back because she'd left some stuff in the car, which lead to me leaving my crucifix behind! O.o I managed to get it back, but alas I ended up being ten minutes late for work because of all the running around. Oh dear. Fortunately, I've been good lately so when I called the boss to let him know he didn't kick my ass, but still I better make sure I get to work on time tomorrow.

Although...I need to get my upper lip and eyebrows waxed, I was thinking of doing that tomorrow morning before work, but I'm not sure if I'll have enough time. I suppose I can just go to one of the Beauticians at the Mall later on this week. Plus I need to figure out when to get my hair cut and blow dried, this weekend the extended maternal family is meeting up in Bowral so Mum wants me to look nice.

Annnnd, that's pretty much all I have to say for today, except for the fact that it's finally started raining again, after the driest winter on record. I swear, the climate is all over the place these days. Good thing I haven't put away any of my coats yet!

Now I shall be off to finish the mood theme piccie collecting.

11:17pm: So, I was looking at my Pinkie Loaf this morning and thought to myself 'I should re-do the hair, it's not quite right.' So that's what I attempted to do this evening... but after a whole hour fiddling around, cutting out new bits for the hair I wasn't getting anywhere, so I just ended up restitching the original hair bit back on, LOL, fail. Although, I did manage to put more stuffing in, so she looks nice and rounded now. Still the hair bothers me.

In other news, I think I need to go and see the podiatrist again, my poor feet were so sore today! They feel much better now, so it seems to me that my orthodics probably need an adjustment. Although, I should probably find out if I can claim it on my health fund, I seem to recall I couldn't before? In which case why am I paying so much for that. Annoying.

Aside from that work went pretty well, despite the newspapers, ugh, suffice to say I made sure to cover up the new PMs face any time I could! I was especially disconcerted about the use of the Australian flag as the background in one edition of the 'Telegraph' from last Sunday. This sort of jingoism puts me off, I mean I like the flag as much as the next person, especially on Australia Day, but I don't take it seriously. I'm pretty sure the 'Telegraph' publishers do, or were just being emotive again. I've said it before, but geeze they could at least make a show of unbiased journalism. Too much to hope for, I suppose.

And I was successful in getting up early enough to go to the gym this morning, whoo! I didn't go swimming though, which meant I didn't bring my beach towel, which meant I had to dry myself off with the tiny purple not-quite a hand towel but close towel. Bit difficult that, but I got dried off in the end.
Of course, since I got up early this morning, I be tired, so I shall do the Meme if I didn't get around to doing last night and then I shall be off.

10:48pm: But that didn't stop some of the customers at the newsagency from acting nuts. The first was a lady who's child was running wild and refused to leave! The boss tried to shoo her off but she insisted in arguing and even tried to call the police on us! O.o As someone who hates confrontation this almost gave me a panic attack. Eventually the boss managed to get her out and the cops never did show up, but seriously, the boss can be a bit abrasive some times, but this lady's kid was totally misbehaving.

The other person wasn't as confrontational, but he had a strong accent and was hard to understand, plus considering what had happened with the lady the boss really wasn't in the mood to deal with it. But yeah, the long and short of it, don't people have manners these days?

Anyway, I was worried for a bit that my almost-anxiety attack would make getting home to the apartment difficult and since I left the keys to my parents house in said apartment I couldn't even go there instead, but in the end I got back here and even picked up some beef patties and cooked myself a homemade cheese burger for dinner, yum! I also saw a friend of mine at the uni bus stop! Sadly, I wasn't able to get off the bus at that point so we could only wave at each other LOL.

Not much else to report, although the dramadramaduck Activity check is due this week and I'm not sure Pinkie's had enough activity, I tried to squeeze some in this morning but I kind of left it too late. Fingers crossed, I guess.

And now, I must be off! Le Tour is on and I want to concentrate on what's going down. Oh! And lastly, the clouds have gone and the sun is back - woo-hoo!
