11:43pm: When I took the cushion off the chair today with the idea of taking it with me today to see about getting a new insert I noticed something...one of the springs on the actual wooden base had snapped at the point where it attaches and was hanging off, which means there was a lack of butt support, which undoubtedly explained the butt pain I've been having.

My plan was to get a U-shaped nail so I could reattach the spring - well after considering taking the chair to a furniture repairer and then nixing the idea because that looked like it would be way too expensive. But I could only find U-shaped nails in packs of 100, I briefly considered buying the pack, but my cheapskate tendencies overcame me, plus I thought perhaps the landlord might have such nails, since he's a mechanic. As it turned out he did! So I've now hammered the spring back into place - although I should probably buy myself a hammer...I thought I had one, but I don't and the hammer I borrowed was a bit wussy so the nail hasn't actually gone all the way in.

However! The seat cushion is still too flat, which I've realised by swamping it with the other chair's cushion - they're pretty much the same style of chair - and having sat on it tonight I can confirm there is no discomfort in the butt area.

Still don't know what to do about the cushion though...there's no actual seam to rip so I don't see how I could put a new insert in...but maybe if I take it somewhere they'll be able to help.

But I certainly couldn't do that today, because I ended up staying a lot longer at the info booth at Mona Vale Library because someone was sick and hence there wasn't anyone to relieve me from my shift at noon. I ended up staying until 2:30, which I guess means more pennies in the bank which is hardly something I can turn my nose up at.

I did have more to report today, but I let myself get distracted by other things and now there's hardly any time left before midnight! Suffice to say, it involved Plushy plush, but I shall tell you tomorrow.

For now, though, goodnight!

10:15pm: Alas...you know I enjoy a pithy title, but whatevah :OP

Anywho, busy day today, Grandpa came by at 11:30 and we went via Mum and Dad's place to get Dad before arriving at the War Vet Village for lunch. We weren't able to reserve a table and there weren't any long tables available so we had to make our own. Which involved carrying over a whole lot of smaller tables and putting them together, which unsurprisingly got as a few looks. I swear we were being judged! :OP Somehow we also managed to find enough chairs, there were 9 of us once Sam and Mack arrived.

I ordered chicken caesar salad and a side of chips, however I forgot to put the 'wrap' in, so I got a bowl of salad, whoops. Still, very good eatin'.

Great Aunt Mary was also there - she's visiting from far north NSW at the moment - I haven't seen here since...well a while, I'm tempted to say 1999 when the family went up there on our way to Seaworld, but I'm sure I've seen her since then, but I can't remember.

Mrs. Lampe, Mum's friend was also there, which is why we were such a large group! The only shame was the little bro wasn't there, he's hard to get a hold of sometimes.

M and Grandpa dropped me off afterwards and I spent sometime cleaning the bedroom area of my flat, giving the carpet a good vacuum before it was off to the gym for cardio and then swimming! Most enjoyable, I do love a good swim.

After that, I went and did some shopping then on my arrival home I went to speak to N and C about the whole flat situation. I managed to speak to Mum over lunch about it too, so decisions needed to be made! As it turned out the main issue is that they want to do some renovation and also replace the power cable that goes up here (it's currently not all that legal). There was no mention of wanting to put in any overseas students , so finally we agreed I'd stay and the renovations would be done around me. Which, is hopefully possible! They're not planning on tearing down the whole place, so it seems it'll be do-able. Fingers crossed!

Oh, and I also have to pay for the Foxtel channels I use - which is about $25, more than fair I think! - rather than pay anymore rent. So hopefully, that's all sorted out.

Right, it's bed time so I better do a couple of memes then hit the sheets.

Saturday 9

:Bubbly (2007):

... because Jodi suggested Colbie Caillat

1) Singer Colbie Caillat says this song was inspired by a trip to "the beach and having a wonderful day with a person you like." Have you been to the beach yet this summer? Well, summer doesn't come around until November, but I did go with two friends who were visiting from overseas earlier in the year. It was heaps of fun, except for the part where I got sunburned, ow!

2) Are you careful about applying sunscreen? Not as careful as I should be obviously! I'll have to watch out this summer...

3) Colbie made her TV debut in a 2009 episode of Saturday Night Live. Are you a big SNL fan? Don't really have it here in Australia - I mean I think it's on the Comedy Channel but I don't watch it.

4) "Bubbly" is often a synonym for champagne. When's the last time you enjoyed a glass of bubbly? Don't like the taste of alcohol, so never.

5) Colbie sang the National Anthem at the third game of the Red Sox/Cardinals World Series in 2013. How is your favorite baseball team doing so far this season? Don't have one, not American. :OP

6) In 2005, Ms. Caillat tried out for Season 4 of American Idol but was eliminated very early in the process, before she could even audition for Simon, Paula and Randy. The winner that year was Carrie Underwood. Are you a Carrie Underwood fan? Never heard any of songs.

7) In 2007, when "Bubbly" was popular, actress Yvonne deCarlo died. She was best known as Lily on The Munsters. If you had to choose (and yes, this Saturday you have to), would you rather hang out with Lily Munster or Morticia Addams? Morticia Addams, she's absolutely awesome, whereas I don't know Lily Munster's character at all.

8) In 2007, MySpace was faced with a serious challenge from Facebook, and it's obvious which social network won. Did you have a MySpace account? If so, do you still post to it? Ha ha no. Myspace relaunched itself...I wonder how that's going...

9) Random question: Which have you had longer, your ironing board or your plunger? Well, I don't have a plunger anymore, it's at the apartment. To be honest...seeing as I got my ironing board when I came to the Granny Flat, so it's probably pretty much even, since I'd hardly count the time I owned the plunger when I don't even live in the apartment.

9:26pm: Because it's made me worried about my waist circumference (my BMI is fine, but that can be sort of dodgy) and uhoh, it's not too good. In fact it's periliously close to the high danger category - unless I've measured wrong. Dang, how concerning. I thought I was looking a little rotund in the gut area, guess I'll have to keep up the squats at the gym! And keep away from the Nutella...again (that bastard).

Speaking of the gym, I meant to go today, my abdomen was being a jerk so I didn't, which is rather annoying seeing as I took my gym bag with me. But it was also library volunteer day and I was all out of steam by the end of that, I tell you some of those Home Library Service clients make it hard...like people who want 20 books each time. Man, some people read a lot!

However! I did manage to go to the hardware shop and get some sandpaper for my bathroom vanity - a couple of weeks ago I put my straightner on it in the incorrect manner and it melted some of it leaving a rather sharp point. As you can imagine this makes wiping it clean with the sponge hard to do because it gets caught. Long story short, I explained this to the hardware shop guy who got me the right grade of sandpaper and now it's no longer a hazard.

I mopped the floor this morning before leaving, as I promised Mum I would, so go me, except I kind of left it a bit late and thus ended up missing the bus, which kind of stressed me out a bit even though I have the car and drove that. But you know, I had things all planned out in my brain etc.

And I burned the top of my mouth eating dinner, ow...why I gotta do this to myself? Fail.

What else to report? Well, the Fed-Ex is up against Murray in the semi-final of Wimbledon, will the Fed continue to be awesome? Will Murray make Britain proud? I hope for Roger! This is the 10th time he's been in a Wimbledon semi, and if he gets to the final it could be an 8th Wimbledon title for the Fabulous Fed.

Now, the new Embarrassing Bodies is on so I shall be off to watch that! :O) Tomorrow is the pyschiatrist appointment so I need to get to bed at a reasonable hour so I get enough zzzzs.

Wish me luck, then!

Goodnight all!

PS. Oh wait, I've checked it out and it turns out I was measuring the wrong way, no need to panic people, remain calm! :O)

11:40pm: Yep, I finally got the flu shot at the bulk-billing medical centre near the mall, although it did cost me $24.95 for the vaccine, although as my friend Ben reminded me as someone who works in the health care sector (sort of) I should probably be entitled to get it for free. I guess I'll need to call the company I work for although I don't actually deal directly with them and see what they have to say.

I also went to the mall (after going to the gym of course!) to buy some carrots at Coles and also something else...no not a new watch with a black band, buuuut...this! An ice skate charm! :OD I was originally thinking of buying one through E-bay, but I suppose we should all be helping the Australian economy, plus it was only $29.90 at Angus & Coote! Although I guess it's kind of funny to wear it with my crucifix, but hey, one could always use protection on the ice!

And I see that I've managed to lose track of time and now it's too late to do memes, oh well...I'm sure I'll be able to catch up tomorrow, although I am hoping to go skating tomorrow, if my arm isn't sore as Hell as it was the last time I got a shot...plus church and making the cupcakes for my little bro's birthday.

On that note I should probably wrap this up, I need to get to bed if I'm going to do all that tomorrow!

And finally it's been raining all through the evening...I hope it won't be too wet tomorrow! Although I have at least found out that the repairs should be starting on the sunroom at my parents old house soon, not a moment too soon if this weather continues!

For now, though, goodnight!

11:08pm: I'm afraid so...and it suuuucks! I mean I have access to my parents account, but I don't know how much this will end up costing. Frankly I'm starting to think the whole structure needs to be pulled down, it's still leaking there even after the handyman's hard work. Worst of all more storms are forcasted to come and its still leaking over there. Daaaamn. I should find out what's happening with the insurance claim, since the roof is still missing the glass!

In other news, I'm wondering about getting the flu shoot - you can get one for $9.99 at Chemist Warehouse, but I'm not sure if it's the right kind of atmosphere in there, I mean it really looks like a warehouse in there! And with my low-income health card I'm not sure I'd even have to pay for one if I went to a medical centre and had it done there. I probably should go to the medical centre actually, I haven't got a doctor in this area yet and I probably don't want to have to haul my ass all the way to Neutral Bay whenever I need a check up.

So, I guess I should look into that tomorrow, after going to the library and then the gym, because then I won't be doing any lifting - since last time I got a flu shot my upper arm was sore for at least a day.

And success! I finally killed the fly that's been buzzing around my flat all damn day. Actually, it just kind of fell down on my laptop and I was able to whack it. Bit weird, maybe the cold finally got to it...flies are after all suppose to not be around during the winter.

Hmm, what else to report, well! I managed to find one of my tiny screwdriver, it turns out it had disappeared between the couch cushions, rather than under the couch as I'd thought...good thing I decided to clean them this evening, LOL! Oh and I finally made use of the pancake mix I bought at Aldi ages back, good eating. :O)

I thought I had something else to say, but I don't...Oh, I realised I didn't have those little packets of hot chocolate after all...I tried some Cadbury drinking chocolate that came from my parents house this evening, but it really needs hot milk poured in it rather than water. I can't really bothered with all that...although...I should use that up so maybe I'll need to be. Ah well.

Right, as I said I'mm going to the library tomorrow so I best be off.

7:51pm: Yep, I need to be 'zzzz-ing' by 8:30 so that I'll be able to wake up at FOUR AM to help Mrs S get ready and head off to the airport for her and her husband's trip.

Actually...I think I should have been asleep by 8...which obviously isn't going to happen, but I'll make this quick, there's not actually much to report, although the weather was really nice today, thank the Lord! However rain is possibly going to set in after Wednesday, ewww.

And the issues with my parent's house in Cammeray continues, the handyman went there today and discovered the leak was caused by the flashing - which is rotting away thus letting the water get in. As it happens, sometimes glass fixers won't fix the flashing, considering it to be a builders job, but the handyman assured me that the glass fixers will be able to put the new panes in the roof even after the flashing is replaced. So, once again the handy man will return tomorrow with another person to replace it and hopefully make it waterproof. Phew, lot going on there...

And...I was going to do the Memes, but no time for that now. Wish me luck tomorrow then!

9:53pm: Indeed so, I'm here at the parental unit's place in preparation for taking their car tomorrow morning to my interview so I have to use their spare laptop. I don't know what they've been doing with it, but it's full of malware and shit, I tried to get rid of it with AVG, but it freaked out and seemed unable to get rid of whatever malware it was and also prevented me from access the internet! (Horror of horrors!) I've never had that happen before, in the end I had to uninstall the program! Now I'm using another one to see if that will work, which it seems to be doing. Man, I'm always telling the parentals not to download any of those 'toolbars' and shit.

On the upside at least the internet works here! None of this suddenly deciding not to work after 9pm shit. Hmpf!

In other news, I SMS'd my mother's friend's husband re: the wall issue and it turns out something was blocked out there, so he cleaned it out and all this water rushed out, so fingers and toes crossed this will allow my carpet to dry. Not sure what to do with smell...I guess I should find some carpet de-odouriser or something.

Anyway! Now, I'm finally able to catch up on the Memes:

Saturday 9

28/11/2014

:Paint It Black (1966):

1) This song was chosen because yesterday was Black Friday, the traditional day of sales. Have you begun your Christmas shopping? No, not sure if I'm going to be able to buy much due to my lack of job and money.

2) Are there any Thanksgiving leftovers in your refrigerator right now? N/A

3) AAA says Thanksgiving is a big travel weekend. Did you venture far from home for your holiday dinner? Nope, I don't actually like to travel, plus as I said got no money.

4) Keith Richards likes France but, alas, the French authorities haven't always been fond of him and his criminal record. Have you ever been to France? I have! With my family in 1993 we went to Paris, Mount St Michel and Euro Disney, oh and Lourdes I think? Or at least the Church of St Joan of Arc. Good times, good times.

5) Mick Jagger jokes that, to be polite to fellow hotel guests, he always finishes trashing his room by 10:00 PM. What kind of hotel/motel guest are you? Are you rockstar rambunctious, or are you quiet? Are you neat? Have you stolen any towels, bathrobes, etc.? I like to think I'm well-behaved. Probably can't be arsed to make the bed so yeah...

6) Mick Jagger got his financial savvy as a student at the London School of Economics. Are you good with money? Well, I'm not in debt or anything, but I'm also lacking in savings which really does suck.

7) In the early 1990s, a then little-known actress named Angelina Jolie appeared in a Rolling Stones video ("Anybody Seen My Baby?"). Name an Angelina Jolie movie. Uh...Mr. & Mrs. Smith is the first one that comes to mind.

8) In the early 1960s, the Stones nearly avoided tragedy when their tour bus skidded off a bridge. Tell us about a near miss you're thankful for. When I was a kid, I was riding my bike to school when my shoe lace got itself undone and then got jammed in the bicycle chain sending me toppling to the road. I was unable to get up, and a bus was heading right for me! I was certain it was going to run me over! Even today I feel it missed my head by like 50cms or something, that was a close one!

9) In 1966, when this week's song was popular, CBS telecast How the Grinch Stole Christmas for the first time. What's your favorite Dr. Seuss story? Haven't actually read that many Dr Seuss books, The Cat in the Hat's pretty cool.

5/12/2014

:Lucky Star (1983):

1. Have you ever wished upon a star? Not that I can think of...it's not often you can see stars in Sydney, whoops light pollution.

2. In the 1980s, Madonna considered her wrist bangles one of her fashion trademarks. What's one of your fashion trademarks? Um...a complete lack of fashion trademarks, LOL? Fashion ain't my thing. Maybe having my hair in a ponytail, because that's pretty much how I always wear it.

3. Though she got good grades, Madonna could be disruptive at school, known for turning cartwheels in the halls between classes. Can you do a cartwheel? Alas no, I used to be able to, but I couldn't do handstands, so I concentrated on learning to do that and then...I could no longer do a cartwheel anymore. Fail!

4. Her high grade point average earned her a dance scholarship to the University of Michigan, home of the Wolverines. Do you follow college football? N/A. We don't have that sort of thing here.

5. Madonna co-starred in the movie version of Dick Tracy. Do you enjoy comics? I do! Although I had to stop collecting them because I got them stolen twice!

6. She played Argentinian First Lady Eva Peron in the biopic, Evita and directed a movie about Wallis Simpson. What famous 20th century woman do you wish you could meet/could have met? I would like to meet the Queen! She sounds like a really interesting lady to speak with.

7. Madonna authored a children's book called The English Roses. Tell us about a book that had a big impact on you when you were a kid. The Adrian Mole series was the catalyst for me to start writing down the stories that I'd only kept in my head. Ah...memories!

8. One of Madonna's "vocal idols" is Ella Fitzgerald. Who is your all-time favorite female singer? Gosh, I don't know...I really like The Corrs, although three women sing in that group...but I think Sharon Corr did most of the vocals.

9. Madonna once did a Pepsi commercial. What beverages are in your refrigerator right now? In my parents' fridge, I dunno. In mine there's milk and some white wine my mother left in there, LOL.

Saturday Six

8/11/2014

1. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Hmmm, I'm gonna say chocolate, yum!

2. Of the cars you’ve owned, which has been your all-time favorite and why? I did love my red Hyundai Getz for work, it was niiiice.

3. If you were to book a flight, how much would the airline brand factor in to your decision to fly? Well, Qantas is our national airline and has been very safe, although lately they seem to be having trouble...three planes have had to return back to the airport because of problems. I would though, prefer to be on a Boeing than an Airbus.

4. Was the last dream you remember experiencing while you slept a happy dream, a sad dream, a scray dream, or one that made so little sense it would have to fall into the “none of the above” category? It was a none of the above weird one, except I can't really remember it right now, but I think I was running down some hallways and Plushy showed up.

5. Which do you see more often: your regular physician, your dentist, your eye doctor, or a specialty doctor? My regular doctor I think...although now I'm not as close to where a Medical Centre is so it might end up being my pyschiatrist in the coming year.

6. Considering everything you are wearing right now, how many different colors do you have on at the moment? Blue, red and green...black if you include my watch.

15/11/2014

1. Which superhero was your favorite when you were growing up and why? I'd say Spider-man, who's still my favourite. :O)

2. What would you consider to be the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten? As a boring eater, I don't really eat anything all that strange...uh...I dunno, I think I might have eaten deer at a South African restaurant, I'm not really sure.

3. Did you enjoy that strange food? It was quite tasty actually! Although I'm not sure it was deer, it could have just been beef, LOL.

4. Which genre of music have you listened to the most during the past month? Um...hmm, dunno, I guess popular rock?

5. What three words would you say best describe you? Funny, silly and happy

6. What are three words you wish would most describe you? Employed! Non-anxious and neat.

22/11/2014

1. When is the last time you spent time, in person, with your best friend? Umm...two weeks ago, good times, good times.

2. When is the last time you went for a drive with absolutely nowhere to go and no plan in mind, but just wanted to see a new place? Don't have a car and also I don't like driving in general especially if I have no idea where I'm going so...never?

3. When is the last time you walked along a beach? Dang, it's been a very long time...like last year or something.

4. When is the last time you found a way to truly think “outside the box”? I dunno, maybe I always think outside the box, I'm a bit weird. :OP

5. When is the last time you literally did “laugh out loud”? Just right now, I'm watching something funny on TV with my mother.

6. When is the last time you took what you genuinely felt was a major leap of faith? Uh...I guess doing the Certificate III in Aged Care and others in TAFE.

29/12/2014

The Last One Ever! :O(

1. What epitaph would you like to have engraved on your tombstone? 'Good times, good times'.

2. If you could be certain that there is an afterlife, what would you want heaven to be like? Paradise, of course! With all the people you love and happy times.

3. If you could bring back a deceased relative you knew in your childhood back today to have a conversation with, whom would you choose and why? My paternal grandmother, she died when I was 20 but I would very much like to speak with her. I just found a book here at the parentals that was a present from her to me for my First Reconciliation.

4. Do you consider death to be more of an ending or more of a beginning? A beginning hopefully!

5. Do you ever feel as if you “hear” from people you know who have died, as if by hearing “their voice” or sensing an insight that you don’t think you would have gained on your own? Sadly...no.

6. Aside from your epitaph, how do you hope those who have been closest to you in your life will truly remember you? As someone who always made life brighter for being there.

Righto, better head to bed, gotta be well-rested for the interview tomorrow!

10:24pm: It's stopped working and wants me to reset the router, but it's too late at night for that and now I have to do this update on my mobile. Damnit Telstra make a decent wireless router! Maybe that'swhatneeds to be done... I guess I could bring that up.

In other news I think there's a leak in one of the walls of the Granny Flat, specifically the one in the bedroom area. An area of carpet is damp and also smells gross. Fuuuuck, that sucks too! I don't know for sure though I'll have to go outside tomorrow morning and see if there's anything untoward about the wall.

Anyway the day wasn't a total suck fest, I had fun at the Volunteer Thank You Afternoon Tea, it's nice to know I'm making a good impression on people and doing a good job. We even got a nice card and decadently boxed chocolate.

Now I'm gonna wrap this up here, I've been going to bed too late the past couple of days so I should try to correct that.

10:14pm: But I'm here at the parentals so there isn't anything else to watch, but honestly why so many messed up cop shows? I don't wanna see messed up cops, how am I supposed to take the, seriously? Bah.

Anyway, the toilet saga continues, last night after finishing that entry I watched some YouTube videos and this morning I managed to get the main flush part thing out and checked out the valve and as the Great Adam Savage would say "Now, there's your problem." It's totally warped! It couldn't seal a...well...it couldn't seal shit.

However, getting a replacement valve proved a bit difficult, the Bunnings near the mall had a number of valves, none of which matched mine! I thought I had one, but it was for a single flush toilet and I have dual flush. The guy who helped me could only suggest that I try another Bunnings. Fortunately, there happens to be one not ten minutes down the road, and they close at 7pm. I rang up them up to ask if they had the valve, but apparently they've got so many they couldn't say, so after work I waited for an all stops bus and headed to the shop, which is huge! For a moment, once I found the right aisle I thought I wasn't going to have any luck there either, but I found a floor assistant man who found what's probably the right one for me. Yay! Now, I'll just have to wait until Sunday and hope I can get the new seal back on. Fingers crossed!

In other news, I've received a tip-off that there's a job at Manly Library! Oh my God this is most exciting! It closes on 28th October, so time to get busy!

On the work front I was most disappointed to be told at work that I'm being moved to another desk in the office, all the way on the other side of the office! :O( I'm a little worried that this might be a sign that I'm too disruptive, although I like to think I'm not too loud. That does explain why another colleague asked me to clean up my desk, which I did. Boo, now I'm going to be all by myself.

Well, I should get to bed because I want to go to the gym tomorrow morning especially since I didn't go tonight. Before I go, the Meme!

10:03pm: I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the valve, which is indeed an issue because it's a dual flush toilet and getting the bit out to replace the valve - even if I had the right part that is - looks really complicated. But I don't want to call in a plumber because that shit is expensive. I guess I'll have to see if Dad and/or Mum can help me, but without the part I'm not sure what they can do. In the meantime I have to turn the tap on and off, very irritating.

In other news I'm watching Freaky Eaters again, this time it's a dude addicted to maple syrup... which is bad, but calling maple syrup 'trash' is quite offensive to the Canadians out there! And I'm still skeptical that one week's worth of treatment could cure anyone of any addiction. I call sheninigans!

Anyway, aside from that not much to report except for super freaky weather, it was over 30 degrees C today which has resulted in fires breaking out. None of them actually close to where I am, but as the day passed the sky turned a strange brownish orange colour from all the smoke. By the time I left work to head home there was a huge thick black cloud across the sky and as the moon rose it was blood red! Creepy! I tried to take a photo but alas my phone's camera isn't good enough, shame.

Now, I should probably be off because I have to go to bed soon, but before that I also need to do some cleaning up of the apartment, because I'm going to the parentals tomorrow night and won't be back until Sunday with the parentals so it has to look good!

And boo, no meme up, so off I go.

Goodnight all!

9:34pm: I just discovered I missed out on 6 donuts (the premium currency) in The Simpsons Tapped Out game because I didn't tap on a task even though it was highlighted because I thought it's be available later, like they usually are, but nope not this time. There's a lesson there. But still boo hiss, especially since I'm not gonna buy donuts, unlike the gems thing in My Little Pony app. Oh well, the donuts do show up with more regularity then gems do.

In other news I haven't got around to trying to fix up the toilet because I'm not really sure what to try...plus I feel lazy. :OP But I really better take a good look at it before I go to bed, because I don't want to waste anymore water (I turned off the tap this morning)!

Oh and as promised here's the definitive Pinkie Loaf! I'm very pleased with it. Hugs the Pinkie Loaf.

Not much else to report, it was Writer's Group tonight and the Bluetooth keyboard proved to be fab! I was a bit worried it would take me forever to get there because there was a fire in a building in the city (thankfully no-one was hurt) which closed down a road and caused traffic chaos! Seems it had settled by the time I left work so I wasn't too late at all. Although unfortunately, the air conditioning in the pub ended up being a bit much so I left earlier than I intended too. Still I got some good writing done.

Speaking of writing, NaNo sent me an email from my novel-to-be which finally got me to login to the site! Although I still haven't decided what to write yet. I think Geoffrey is calling to me though...hmmmm, decisions.

And finally, I've somehow managed to overspend and the ALIA people called me up to say they couldn't process my membership fee again. Ugh fail! Well, they'll try again on Friday after I get paid again and it really should work this time. Although they did say they tried to process it last Friday...it should have worked then too, but apparently not. Weird.

Anyway, bed calls so I must be off, plus I have to check out the toilet, wish me luck!

Goodnight all!

10:09pm: And it sucks! It doesn't overflow or anything, but it just seems to keep running, which I'm pretty sure still uses water, which is bad news since I got my water bill yesterday and it's quite a bit higher than usual. :O( And the higher charge is the sewage part, which I assume is where the toilet water runs. Fuck man, what a rip. I've had to stick an old razor under the float thing to keep it from dropping and since I'm going to bed soon I'll have to try and troubleshoot it in the morning using this WikiHow article I found.

What else to report? Work is going well! I got there on time today, yay! And things are moving along re: getting security doors on the filing shelves. I had to call the company up to see where it was at, but they got back to me and a man is coming out on Friday to give us a quote.

In non-work related matters I redid Pinkie Loaf's mane tonight, I think it's an improvement, but you'll have to wait for a photo as I've turned almost all the lights off so it wouldn't work. I'm sure you'll all be on the edge of your seat until then :OP

And anything else? Nope...hmm, I don't have much of a life do I :OP I should start thinking about what to write for NaNo, since it's coming up soon. Hmmm, should I write about Geoffrey more? Or should I go back to my George III story? Or maybe something different all together?

Anyway, it's almost 10:30pm, which is my bed time and not having anything else to say I guess I'll wrap this up.

Goodnight all!

9:29pm: I had a title for this entry, but I forgot it, so I'll stick with this one.

I just decided "What the Hell" and decided to look for some stuff on E-bay and lo and behold I find a figurine that I've been looking for for years up for auction! One wonders how high it will get since it doesn't end for more than a week yet, but that's not the big issue for me. The big issue is last years crap up has soured me. And it's not even the money that's pissig me off, it's the fact they never sent the thing to me! I mean that totally sucks.

But I dunno...I may have to go with this, I mean I've been looking for this figurine for aaages!

In other news, I've got a leaking tap in my bathroom and I'm not sure what to do, my grandfathr came over to fix it once, I'm not sure what he did, but it wasn't replacing the washer. I'm wondering if should try and do something with it, but I don't know anything about taps...

In other news, I is tired, I don't think I've caught up on my zzzz's yet, so I'll be going to bed soon to do that since the Boss has returned and I can't afford to be yawning tomorrow!

TMI Tuesday

1. Did you have to pay or did you get money back?

Err...I assume you're talking about Tax? At least I hope you are, although judginng from the name of this particular meme... But in terms of tax, I should get money back this year around.

2. What was your biggest financial mistake?

Buying that damn thing off E-bay apparently, they took my money! This time I'll make sure to lodge a compliant with Paypal. Also that I have money in my account so the bank doesn't charge me $45 for overdrawing, bastards.

3. Are you a screamer?

Er..no.

4. What part of your body, other than your genitals, do you love to have touched? What part of a partner's body, other than their genitals, do you love to touch?

What the Hell? Don't touch my personal area! Got nothing against hugging though, I guess.

5. What [edit: 12:30] commercial catch phrase best describes your life?

Uuh...I don't know I've never been particularly fond of commerical catch phrases, I mean they mostly suck. I do like the Little Doer's "Tell 'em the price, son." Which sounds extra wrong for a meme named like this.

Bonus (as in optional): What was the last thing you took without permission? What was the last thing taken from you without your permission?

Umm...I dunno, a break at work? As for what someone took from me...nothing because no-one dares to enter the lair of the Moose - :O)

Tina's Tuesdays

Cartoon Mania

1. Who is your favourite cartoon character?

Oh damn, that's a toughie...I'm gonna have to say...Homer Simpson, 'cause come on, it's Homer!

2. What are three of your favourite cartoon tv shows?

The Simpsons
Family Guy

There's others but I'll say Robotech at the mo. Them's good watching.

3. What is the oldest cartoon you remember watching on tv as a kid?

Well, my first favourite show was Inspector Gadget. I even have a few tapes...or at least I used to which Dad taped for me. I loved that show, thus the the icon.

Right, I is tired and my washing is down, so I'm heading to bed.

Goodnight to you all.
