Irritable Eye Syndrome...
Feb. 5th, 2015 10:00 pm9:33pm: Damn, they've decided to be an ass to me again with much discomfort and odd sensations...I feel like an eyelash might be in there, but there seems to be nothing. Very irritating...I wonder if there's something in the air because my nose was certainly itchy today and I never did get that horseradish and garlic stuff that my mother swears by. Whoops.
Anyway, as I mentioned yesterday, I had to get up at 7am today to go for my training at my prospective employer's house. Suffice to say I mostly watched how things were done although I did to a few things. Not sure how I feel about it to be honest. On the one hand, the lady is very nice and quite funny, so there's no issues on that front, but yeah...it's one thing to have a buddy for this sort of thing, it's quite another to do it by yourself! I'm worried I might fuck up or do something not right with the personal care and things will become quite a mess, figuratively and literally! But I'm going back for more training tomorrow and on the weekend too so...
I did get an email back from the guy my aunt referred me to, but no meeting has been set up yet and nothing forthcoming from the library (incidentally the council HR department has apparently been downsized so it could take even longer than usual to get a reply!), I think I could turn down this job by Monday, but after that I'm pretty much committed.
Furthermore...I don't even know how one would leave a job like this...I suppose it's the same as any job? Give your two weeks notice, although then I'd probably be expected to train my replacement...ugh, I'm not good at issuing instructions. Although I'm getting ahead of myself here, I should stop catastrophising things.
Oh and I forgot to mention the most interesting thing, the current care worker is called Monica too! She's the first one I've ever met personally in my life I kid you not! There was a Monica at my high school but she was in Year 7 when I was in Year 12 so I never even saw her. So yeah, this quite amusing to me. She's also really nice, so hey, good people.
In other news, I'm not sure about the gym situation, by which I mean taking my gym gear with me so I can go there after work. However, one probably shouldn't bring too much crap to someone's house, my stuff was a bit in the way today actually, and that was rather awkward. I suppose I'll just have to come back here after it and collect it. I guess it wouldn't be such a problem, I do have that bus ticket after all.
Anyway, better wrap this up and head to bed, a lack of sleep could also be behind my eyeballs acting up.
Wish me luck tomorrow! Goodnight all!
