11:29pm: So let's not, because that shit don't work in Australia, at least not where I'm sitting. I tried but the buffering was a nightmare so I gave up.

But OMG! Gymnastics is on! Damn, I wonder how much I've missed of it. I should have downloaded that Channel Ten app so I'd know when this stuff is on.

Ooo! A Singapore chap just won a medal in the vault, apparently for the first time ever, good for him! :OD

In other news, I didn't end up going to the doctor today, though I did get to the library, yay! Alas I was a bit late because I dilly-dallied a bit too much in the morning and missed the bus that goes past my house and had to go up around the corner to get the other one. Plus with that time o' the month swiftly approaching I was kind of dizzy when I arrived and the fact I had to select books for a seriously picky client made life a bit difficult. But I recovered!

However, I'm reminded yet again that I should probably change my phone's ring tone, as much as I like it, it does have a little voice saying "Help, help, I can't get out" which when my mother called me today while I was away from my phone in the library proper and someone actually thought a person was in trouble!

Hmm, what new one should I get....any suggestions?

In other news after my volunteering I went to Lincraft and returned all the sequins and got myself some more pink fleece in case I decide to make anything else, and some silver pipe cleaners...which I used to create

skates for my Plushy Plush! He is now complete, LOL and hopefully no longer shedding glitter. Any opinions on him is welcome.

Damn, the gymastics have disappeared again, what's up with that? Did the Olympics/Commonwealth Games always have this problem? They can't seem to say focussed on any event! Unless it's rugby or hockey or some shit.

Hmmm, it's getting a bit late, so no time for Memes, however I be tired, so it's probably for the best.

The judges for the diving rather suck...or sem to be biased towards Canadians, what's all that about?

Anyway! Not much else to report, tomorrow is library day I think, I have to call in the morning about that.

And I thought I cleaned the kitchen last night but apparently not because according to Dad there was an ant invasion, which I'm really glad I missed because i have that phobia of ants.

I hear that white isn't technically a colour, but whatever, my first car was white too, I shared it with my big bro. It was a Nissan Pulsar or something like that - I don't actually remember anymore. Once it was stolen, but we got it back and pretty much drove it into the ground.

Well...I was able to move into the apartment and help pay off the mortgage for the apartment in 2007 when I was 23, but now at 26 I've had to come back home due to unemployment - fail.

10:17pm: I'm watching the diving again, lots of fun! I wish I could dive, even a little bit, I can't even do a regular racing dive, when I had to swim at the Sports Carnivals I either had to begin in the water or jump in like an idiot.

Anywho! It's the 3m springboard for the men, and it looks like we might get a silver, whoo!

Hmmm...had a very lazy day today, I didn't even go out to the library to get my new card, or hunt for jobs, which is not on, come on meee! I think I'll ring those library placement places tomorrow and see if they've got any leads.

I have to clean the kitchen tomorrow, because I didn't today and my father was most unamused.

Monday Movie Madness

This week's movie topic is all about Fall...

There are lots of movies set in the fall because directors love the beauty of the turning leaves. But the script writers also love the events that we celebrate during this season which lend themselves naturally to a good story. Here are some examples we came up with. Ah...well I guess Back to the Future is technically set in the autumn, but that hardly matter, they don't even mention it! Unless proms are an autumn type thing over there in the US, in which case then it's a very big plotpoint :O)

Day 19 - A pairing you've rooted for since the beginning?

Definitely Ron and Hermione! I love those two! I didn't really think Harry and Hermione would ever make a couple, especially when JKR mentioned Harry was who she'd like to be, but Hermione was who she was, I mean she's not that vain. LOL!

10.15pm: Hey! They've got the Women's Steeplechase in the Commonwealth Games! I'm very pleased, because they only have the men's verision in the Olympics...seems it's a new development because no Game Record has been recorded. But that's all changed now. It was very exciting because an Aussie almost won! But the Uganda woman put on one last burst of speed and beat her, but we got the silver and bronze, so whoo!

I'm waiting for the Diving to replay, especially the Sychronised Diving...that's the coolest, but they're doing Weightlifting instead...so I'm watching something on Birth again...God damn, there's a lot of those shows on...There's no way I'm going to be able to give birth to a kid...it ain't coming out without much weeping, screaming and me probably bashing someone's head in in amongs all that jazz.

I've just finished playing The Sims 2, I've downloaded the new patch, but alas it didn't restore Mircanda McFly's teenage Photobooth photos :O( I guess it was because I saved the game when it was all ready broken. So I sent her out again to get another set, before I changed her look to reflect the Roaring 20s a bit more. Meanwhile though, my Simmies are getting fat! I must be over feeding them! Mircanda, her roommate Lila and poor Adam McFly all became oversized when I was playing, and Lila was the only one who looked any good.

But! I'm finding the teenage stage lasting too long as opposed to the Uni stage (which is what most people say), well at least when you've got a family of 7 kids...and only two of 'em are allowed to go to Uni! (I could send them all...but it's supposed to be the late 20s/early 30s...) Which is bad because I've made Ted and Deb Knowledge Sims and they're all about going to Uni, and going to Private School (they're not allowed to go there either!) But that's all they want for 15 damn Sim days. Hmpf!

I'm also a bit worried about two of my Sims who I let have first loves...Bradley (Mircanda's husband to be) fell in love with Lila (who is now inexpicibly gone all the way from "London" to a Women's College in the US- don't ask) and I can't seem to get them to fall OUT of it! Adam on the other hand is in love with Dagmar some townie...fortunately they'll fall out of love when Adam becomes an adult. But I'm concerned because as a Family Sim it's one of his fears to fall out of love with Dagmar, so does that mean when he becomes an adult he'll get a big Aspiration hit? I hope not!

Anyway! Moving on, since you all don't know Simmies... I'll move onto...
