11:43pm: The assignment that is, it's due in fifteen minutes and I just couldn't be damned to find 3 more references to make 10, because it really would have just been me shoving stuff in and I'm tiiired. Although I must say I messed around with some of the stuff in Word 7 and made a very nice, professional looking report, maybe presentation will make it read better, LOL!

Work was just totally hectic today! The good news is, I was confirmed for the Sunday shift and also they were all sympathetic about my redundancy at the office job, the bad news is I fucked up with selling some scratchies - namely I didn't give the people the amount of scratchies I charged them for. As a result the boss had to check the video camera footage to make sure and that meant we finished late, because he wasn't able to count up the til while he was doing that.

He didn't seem to have any hard feelings though...so...In fact he gave me an envelope with a Christmas gift inside from him and the second-in-charge. How nice! I kind of want to open it now, but I'll wait 'til Christmas, it's only two days away now anyway!

In other news, when I got of the bus this evening I saw a sign up in the door of one of the real estate agencies here, they're looking for a full-time receptionist! I'm going to take my resume up there tomorrow morning and hope to impress them. Because having a job I could literally walk too? Da-yamn sign me up!

It's just occurred to me though, I was annoyed this evening on my way home because of the late finishing, which meant I caught a different bus, and was hoping to change to get the one that stops just near my apartment. However, I missed it because it was running early, but had I caught it I never would have seen the sign! Oooo... Could this be a sign of its own? Fingers and toes crossed friends!

And on a final note, it was ridiculously hot today, daaaamn! Wearing my Christmas hat probably made things seem hotter, but I got lots of compliments on it, so hey it was worth it! ;O)

And now I'm going to bed, sleep is needed and it's close to midnight.

7:20pm: When I woke up this morning I felt pretty good, but by the time I headed out to do Operation Resume Saturation the heartburn from yesterday started to return...with the burning throat pain and the weird bubbling sensations in my stomach. I decided to take one of my IBS drugs,which seemed to settle my stomach pains, but by the time I'd been out and about for some time on my resume handing out the pain in my throat was becoming just horrible, eventually I cracked and bought some Zantac, because the packet I have here expired some time in 2012. I took a tablet straight away and it seemed to work for a little bit, but I was in no mood to head over to the parentals to pick up my cupcakes and the bag I left at their house so I went back to the apartment.

However the pain has come back with avengence, I even had a Tums in the hope that would least settle my stomach which feels like it's bubbling painfully. But that didn't work either. Fuck, I'm in pain here and I don't know what to do. Would paracetamol help with the pain a bit, I wonder? I'm uncomfortable about taking too many pills in case I end up with weird side-effects, but ugh. I can't figure out what's worse, the burning in the throat or the stomach bubbling...maybe I can call it a draw. I'm seriously considering going to the doctor tomorrow morrow morning if the pain doesn't stop. I'd rather not because tomorrow is my last Wednesday at the office.

But ugh, it's becoming impossible. I've thankfully managed to write a bit on the NaNo, getting past 35,000 words, but dang still 15,000 to do in five days. I could cry at these setbacks I swear.

Anyway, here's the word count as it stands at the current time:

On the plus side I didn't do too badly on the job hunt, in fact coming back to the apartment proved to be a good idea, as well as getting off the bus a stop sooner. As I walked towards home I saw a sign in the window of a real estate office, looking for a Saturday receptionist! Sweet! It's even finishes at 3pm so I'd be able to get to church should I actually get it. The woman I spoke to said she'd email me once she got more info from her boss. Apparently, the previous Saturday receptionist is a student who's gone back home. Fingers and toes crossed my friends, fingers and toes crossed!

Right, better head off if I'm going to get any more NaNoing done.

I ate some lettuce just now, which seems to have assisted in calming the heartburn a bit, so maybe I can concentrate now!

9:47pm: This is clearly not a good week for me and jobs, my manager at the office called me up for a meeting where I was forced to face the fact that since they've scaled down on the file making there's just not enough for me to do three days a week. A lot of the time I'm just sitting there waiting for an ad-hoc task or the file pile in the other department to stack up. The long and short of it..they want to cut me down to 2 days starting 2nd December and it seems likely my job won't exist for much longer.

Well, I'm pretty fucked. I did some calculations and unless I get some help from Centrelink or move back in with the parents I'll no longer be able to afford my rent. :O( And that's if the newsagency job continues and there's no guarantees there. I have two weeks to rectify this situation, my co-workers are being encouraging, but I don't have the best luck with jobs. I've applied to one and am ready to apply to another once I get a name that are talking about immediate start and whatnot

Ugh! I tried to call Mum right away, but apparently she was working, so I didn't get to speak to her until after work, I had to put forward the whole moving home thing, she's going to think about it, I guess we'll have to see what happens over the next month.

I'm considering taking up an apprenticeship of some kind, that seems to be one way to get work and in areas that need workers so jobs are more secure. I did a bit of research on them at work (because I didn't have anything else to do, did I?) and I have to admit I'm intrigued by the Aviation ones, maybe I could get a job at the airport working at the check-in desk, not sure how I'd go if there were heaps of people lining up and whatnot.

Or maybe I could try the school administration ones, I wouldn't mind working in the education system and finally there's library ones apparently! Although I'm not sure about those because apprenticeships also involve taking TAFE course and I'm just about to get a Masters in Information Studies so I'm not sure how that would work.

So yeah, lots of work to do next Tuesday when I plan to call the Aprenticeship Service to find out how it works. Also I plan to go out and hand resumes around as well, just in case I can find something that way.

So yeah, for a while I thought maybe I'd have to give up on NaNo or that I wouldn't have any inspiration,but it still seems to be going on, yay! As evidenced by the current word count:

Anyway, I have to get back to typing I should be doing at least 2,269 words a day if I'm going to catch up!

11:23pm: So last week I received an email from this place I applied to a job for, asking me to call and when I did I was informed while the job I applied to was taken another one might be coming up so I should come in for an interview.

So, I called up today to arrange a time, but I had to leave a message because the guy didn't answer his phone, about ten minutes later I got an SMS, turns out this other job ain't happening so no interview for me.

Rude! Although this does mean I don't have to worry about having to leave my current job before I finish cleaning up the files. However, I really do have to look for other jobs, I just wish they'd give me an extra day, doesn't seem to be much of a chance of that happening though, boo.

Not much else to report although my digestive system continues to be a bit of an ass, I had some heart burn today and that was very unpleasant, thankfully it's gone now.

And I'm pleased to report that the parking spot madness has all been sorted out, whoo! It seems I misunderstood who exactly I could talk too, turns out the woman I've been speaking too fronts the money, whoops. That's awkward, but hey, I got the money.

10:13pm: I thought I did, but apparently not.

I was supposed to do some serious job hunting today, but alas I sort of fell down on that, although I did get a reply from one of the Council's I applied to informing me that I wasn't been called in for an interview, which sucks. However, it did say I could call and ask their reasons for that decision, which I don't think I've ever seen that before, I totally need to do that, it could be some great feedback.

Speaking of...I feel inspired to dust off an old, old fic of mine, because well...I hate to leave stuff unfinished like that and also because I got such nice reviews for it. LOL, I really should have looked at them more closely when they went up the first time. Anyway, chances are, of course, that most of those reviewers have long since left the fandom, but what the Hell, might as well. Might get some new readership!

On a completely unrelated note, I managed to dry everything that got wet yesterday except for my poor sneakers, I did put them in the dryer, but no dice, I even tried to dry them out using my mother's hair dryer, but that was going to take forever, so I gave up on that. Well, good thing I'm not going to the gym until Saturday (or possibly Sunday) if they're not dried out by then, I've got bigger problems I should think!

I should probably wrap this up and get to bed, work calls tomorrow after all!

I also mustn't forget to call the newsagency because there's a public holiday this coming Monday and I usually don't work those (you get double time when you work on them) but the boss said he'd see me on Monday. Better to be safe than sorry!

9:44pm: It's most irritated, I have no idea what's wrong with it this time, it's probably all the dust from cleaning. Man, I hate it when this happens, it takes forever to clear up and in the meantime it's just as irritating as Hell.

In other news I had my interview with the Library Job-Finding people today and the news is not good, apparently due to my lack of experience the only way I'll get into permanent library work is to start with contracts, which means that my job security will be pretty much nil. Since I have a mortgage this is no good at all, so maybe I'll have to turn to office work, which is rather lame, but what can you do? Plus I can keep my eye out, maybe I'll get lucky.

However! I do need to redo and rejig my resume, to make it stand out better. I was going to to do that tonight, but LOL I was feeling lazy, hopefully I get onto that tomorrow, especially since I don't need to help out my mother tomorrow evening. At first it looked like I was, especially when she SMS'ed me while I was at the gym.

And not much else to report...except my Simpsons: Tapped Out isn't working, in fact nobody's is, the server is down! Bah, this always online thing is annoying as Hell. Which reminds me, I need to check on my Sim City 5, I wonder if anything's happened to it in my absence.

8:02pm: Sadly yes, I neither went to the gym or got my cupcakes or books from the parentals house today. In fact I'm worried I might be coming down with a cold. I woke up slightly sniffle-ly this morning, and then I started sneezing and there was also a bit coughing. Of course that could be due to dust, since I was also cleaning the aparment up, but what doesn't match the usual allergy symptoms is the sleepiness. I am most sleepy indeed, which considering the fact I got my 8 hours of sleep last night is rather a concern.

On the other hand, it could also be the power of suggestion, because this morning the Library Job Finding People called me up to discuss my resume (which reminds me, I need to make some changes to that) and the lady on the line asked me if I had a cold. I often wake up with a stuffy nose, so yeah.

But this sort of thing worries me a bit, because I never know if I should go to work or not if I feel icky, because of the bus ride and all.

Oh well, I had a mandarin so hopefully the vitamin C will help, I did actually think about going out and buying a cold fighting natural remedy...thing, but I felt too sleepy.

That being the case I should probably turn in super early and hope I wake up feeling better. Fingers and toes crossed people!

10:27pm: Yes, indeed, after having it on my to-do list on my phone for weeks I finally got around to updating my budget and finances.

And the news is not very good...in order to not have to dip into my savings I have to spend no more than $6.00 on food...that's less than a dollar a day! Obviously, this is impossible, I mean I can probably swing $20 a week, maybe even $15, but not $6!

Anyway...this means my situation is pretty critical, I need to apply to all kinds of jobs now, unless I can pick up an extra day at one of the jobs I have, but that's unlikely at least with any regularity. Although, I'm sorry to say I haven't had any interviews from any job I've applied to so far. My mother has always told me it's easier to get a job when you've all ready got one...doesn't seem to be working too well this time around. But! I must have a positive attitude. Come on me!

In the meantime, at least I've got everything caught up in my Budget program.

Not much else to report, I'm back at my apartment and I've finished my laundry, so yay!

10:57pm: And I got it for $6 from Vinnies! It says it's genuine leather and it feels like it, although it was made in India - which raises questions, cows are sacred over there aren't they?!

But yeah, it's the sort of wallet with lots of pockets for your credit cards and what not, not that I have a lot of credit cards, in fact I only have one, but I do have about 7 library cards and they all fit in there nicely! :OD Although it does seem a little tight, hopefully the leather will give a bit, the wallet seems relatively unused.

I'd take a picture but then you'd see all my personal info on my driver's licence! But suffice to say I feel all grown up with it :OD

In other news, I managed to get home over the bridge without losing my head, actually I even got home in time to see the ABC news! Which is rather unusual for me. So yay!

Now, I should go to bed soon, although I'm pretty certain I don't have work tomorrow, now that the receptionist is back and all, which is a huge shame, because I did my budget last night and at present I've only got $20 left over a week! Which admittedly is probably how much I spend a week in food, but that leaves me with absolutely no money to go towards my savings and no emergency money! So yeah, not really a sustainable style of living. Not sure what to do about it though...short of giving up my Foxtel I can't make any more cost-cutting measures. I guess I'll just have to keep up with applying for jobs and cross my fingers the ABC gets back to me!

And on that note, I shall be off!

11:13pm: For jobs I mean, although no right now since I have to go to bed, but I'm working on the cover letter for the library job I found last week. Fingers and toes crossed! I also need to do something about my Health insurance, I wonder if I can get them to put it on hold even if I'm not on the Dole, otherwise I might have to just decrease the cover to the bare minimum.

Also, I meant to find out about switching my mobile phone over to the same company that provides me with landline and internet, but I've been having an ass of a time getting onto them, damn call centre queues. Might have to send them an email!

Amnesty International also got back to me, which was very nice of them, and they were willing to take a $5 a month donation from me, so I'm going to do that for the time being.

Tomorrow is going to be busy, first I have to call the newsagency and see if I can get any work there, which I'm nervous about, not gonna lie and also to talk to the people who are currently renting my car space, the lease has run out and we need to negoiate a new one. I'm thinking I'll up the rent by 5%. Hopefully they'll still be interested, but if not I did find a little piece of paper in my letter box from someone who's looking for a spot, so hey I could try them.

Speaking of mail, still no sign of the keyboard! I did hear back from the sellers who were most apologetic and offered to send me a new one, I've asked them to send it to my parents address, the postman seems more reliable over there. Although I'm not sure what to do if the first one comes, posting it back will probably be expensive, because postage in Australia sucks. Maybe they'll pay for it?

And I best wrap this up as bed calls! I've just been distracted by 60 Minute Home Make Over, this room is the boss.

Oh! And I have to get my washing out the machine, first load with the white vinegar, let's hope it works!
