What's This Crap?
Dec. 20th, 2014 11:27 pm10:40pm: I'm watching Carols In The Domain and I've never heard this Christmas carol before...I think this must be some new one, I don't like it. LOL.
I could have sworn this thing was on Christmas Eve, so I'm surprised it's on now, that does explain the fireworks I heard earlier. I had no idea what they were for where they were coming from for that matter, but now the question has been answered.
In other news, I got up early for my trip to Aldi, but I managed to miss both the buses and even back-up bus that I sometimes try and catch when I've missed everything else. Pft, big fat fail. But I got there in the end and whilst there was no swimming costume exactly like the one I have, there was a black one with white pokadots which looked pretty sharp, so I picked one up, there was also a nice red dress that was 70% off, so I got that along with my cheese and bananas. There was a bit of a bruhaha at the checkout because I didn't have enough money in my account and I couldn't get mobile data reception in the shop so I had to go upstairs to transfer money then go back to pay.
And then I caught the bus back home where I swiftly discovered...despite the measurements on the back of the packet which I used to decided which swimsuit to get, I was mislead and it was too loose! Not like falling off or anything, but seeing as it was only going to stretch the more I wore it this wouldn't do it all. Seeing as I got the red dress in the same size too that didn't fit either.
So, I had to take them back later on in the afternoon and I still hadn't got my weekly bus ticket and when I went up to the corner shops I found the newsagency closed, so I didn't get it then either. So, I get back to Aldi and find there's no size 12 swimming costumes left! Except in the two piece tankini which I didn't want, and there wasn't a spare size 12 red dress on the bargain table either, so I ended up returning both. And then I decided I would go to the other Aldi at the Mall to see if I'd have any luck there...long story short, I did not.
So there goes my new swimsuit purchase, do'h.
At least I got some Tim-Tams and cash-out so I could finally buy my weekly bus ticket. But then of course, I managed to miss the express bus, so I had to take the all-stops one. Hmpf! The all-stops bus did get me to church in time though so that was a relief.
Although, wouldn't you know it, the bus home was diverted because the main road was shut down for some reason...It was a bumpy ride down side streets, but I didn't get home that much later than usual so go figure.
In closing...I'd like to leave you with some Memes:

Do you read books written for children or teens? Or do you stick to books for adults?
I totally read Young Adult fiction! In fact most of my books are just that, I've still got my copies of the Baby-Sitter's Club - and actually bought those when I was like 25, and the entire Sweet Valley High series - and almost all the University books. Not to mention The Princess Diaries series and Harry Potter series of course. I enjoy Young Adult fiction, lots of times they're way better than anything out there for adults.

All I Need Is A Miracle
1. When has something miraculous or seemingly miraculous happened to you or someone you know? Um...gee, I can't really think of anything that incredible. Which disappoints me.
2. When were you last part of an amazing coincidence? Hell, I can't really think of any I've been in either. Would meeting my first best friend from Dubbo at my university in Sydney many years after we lost contact count. She was in one of my classes, but it was three weeks before she spoke to me in the elevator, good thing she did, because I wouldn't have had the guts too. Alas, that was not the beginning of re-establishing contact.
3. What have you recently accomplished against magnificent odds? Beats me...maybe surviving a week in the Aged Care Facility!
4. In what way this week has luck been in your favor? Umm...I guess the two buses and train I needed to catch to get to Lithgow would count, I mean even with some traffic delays I made it to the station on time. And I managed not to panic on the train, whoo!
5. What was the last outcome you consciously decided to leave up to chance? My job hunt, I guess. I'm not sure what else I can do to get a job though...I guess i need to network or something.

It’s the holidays, so let’s celebrate!
1.What is one of your diehard traditions for Christmas Eve? Err...I'm not sure I have one! Oh, maybe last minute gift wrapping, LOL!
2.How do you start your Christmas Day? Opening my stocking! Although as of late, I've had to fill my own stocking, but it's important to me that I have one. :OP
3.Is there one gift in particular that you’d like to find under your tree This year? Well, a green cover for the Kindle my aunt gave me would be most welcome!
4.If you don’t celebrate Christmas, is there a holiday you do celebrate at this time? N/A
5.Do you have plans for New Year’s Eve yet? Not at present. I really want to go see the fireworks, because they're the best in the world, but I don't think any of my friends will want to go, plus my parents no longer live in North Sydney now, so I'm not sure what will happen.

:Happy Holidays!:
1. As you can see, Sam loved giving her annual wish list to Santa. Yet some children are reluctant to climb into Jolly Old St. Nick's lap. Did you enjoy the tradition or were you shy? Or did you by pass it altogether -- either because you wrote him a letter or because your family didn't celebrate Christmas? Well, my brothers and I did get out picture taking with Santa at the Mall a few times during our childhood, but I don't really remember if I enjoyed the whole thing. As for writing a list to Santa, I think I did it once or twice, but I was 9 when I discovered Santa didn't exist, so...
2. Are you currently on the Naughty or Nice list? How did you get there? Nice list I would assume since I'm so generally inoffensive. :OP
3. Did you ship any gifts to friends and family this year? If so, which one traveled the farthest? Nope, I did send a card to a friend in Canada yesterday, I hope it gets there in time!
4. Did you buy yourself a gift this year? Nope, I feel quite poor at present.
5. What's your favorite holiday-themed movie? I do love National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, those crazy Griswolds!
6. Thinking of movies, Christmas is lucrative for Hollywood. Have you ever gone to a movie theater on Christmas Day? Can't do that on Christmas Day here in Australia, theatres are open on Boxing Day, but I've never gone to one on that day. I think it'd be waaay too crowded.
7. Have you ever suffered an embarrassing moment at the company Christmas party? Haven't been to many, and thankfully no. A family Christmas Party is another matter I should think! :OP
8. What's your favorite beverage in cold weather? It's summer here in Australia, but to answer your question - hot chocolate, yum!
9. What will you remember most about 2014? Doing the Certificate IIIs at TAFE.
Right, tomorrow my brother and his girlfriend arrive from Japan, so I have to be at my parent's place by 10:30pm so I better get to bed so I can have a good night sleep. It's been over a year since I've seen my big bro, so this is exciting.
And now, I say goodnight!
