10:00pm: Indeed, I have no idea why, but today was a catalogue of errors the likes I haven't seen in many months! Let's do a list, shall we?
1. I got up early enough to get to the Mission Australia place and arrived on time only to discover...somehow I'd been exited from the whole program! This meant...
2. I had to go to the Centrelink, which at least was only around the corner, to sort it all out. Centrelink is a Hellhole of ridiculous waiting times, I was there for an hour and a half just for a five minute interview!
3. While that was happening I was in the throes of burning throat pain, I'd taken a lozenge before leaving the apartment, but it didn't seem to work worth a damn! Not until I got him and gargled with salt water.
4. Mum called in the early afternoon to discuss things and upon hearing of Centrelink woes decided that she should probably come to my Tuesday appointment, which is on at 9:45am so she wants to come over on Monday evening, which necessitated...cleaning the apartment.
5. And also making my birthday cake, I made two halves to put together, which worked...kind of, the firs half almost went pear shaped when I didn't s the convection oven to the right temperature so the middle wasn't cooked when I took it out!
6. I cleaned the apartment well enough over the next two hours, it because I left it so long between cleanings that there was an abundance of dust which set off my allergies. Oh my God, my nose was running like a sieve!
7. Then the coup de grace...I went to take my Christmas decorations and the tree down to the Box Thing when I forgot to take my apartment key with me and didn't realise...until I'd shut the door behind me. I'd locked myself out!!
8. Thank God for me I'd been preparing to leave and had my pouch around my neck with my mobile phone in it, so I was able to call Mum. Alas she was out and wouldn't be ale to come over or another hour, which may not have been so bad if my nose was' still running ridiculously. And I didn't have my bag so I had no tissues or money to buy any. I ended up leaving the building and going to some shops to beg for some. At the first place, the convienent shop, no dice. However the Big Secondhand bookshop did have some toilet roll and not long after that Mum called to say she was almost there.
8. So, I got back into the apartment, got my cake, frosting, cream and bags, I packed up my tablet and Mum helped me take the Christmas stuff to the Box Thing, and we headed off back towards the parental and half way there I realised...I left the tablet behind! Fuuuck.
9. And lastly,I'm feeling most sleepy and hoping to Hell that ts is from the allergies and the Sudafed I to and not the signs of a cold, because that would be bullshit. Oh...and my sandal is definitely not here in my parents house. Argh!
So..that was the last day of my 20s...hmpf! A crafty way to get me to say good riddance, perhaps? Touché life.
On that note, here's the final photo of me in my 20s. Although since I wasn't born until 9:50pm, that might not be true. But close enough.
Anyway, I shall bid you all goodnight now.
