9:07pm: I'm so bummed! As you can tell from the subject title my activity tracker has once again disappeared :O( I've been wearing it on my pocket lately because it wasn't tracking my steps properly when I put it in my bra. Of course, having lost the bloody thing it's not tracking anything at all!

Now, it could possibly be in the library where I worked today, but it could also be in the parking lot of the shopping centre where I parked or at the Supercentre all the way over in Belrose where I went after to work to get some curtains for Mrs S. Oh man...

On the plus side - such as it is - there's was (as of Friday) another fitness tracker available at Aldi in Mona Vale, so I suppose I could just buy that tomorrow. But that'll be the third one in like 6 months! And while the price of them has gone down, I've all ready spent like $70 so far. I'm wonder if I should just go all the way and buy one of those pricey necklace activity tracker things, sure they cost twice as much but the necklace would make it almost impossible to lose, plus you can get them in nice colours.

Although...I do like Aldi and thus feel kinda bad for not using their activity tracker. Maybe I could start wearing it inside my sock so if it got loose it'd just fall inside...

Man, I'm so conflicted here! I can get a nice Misfit Shine for $87.95...the Activity Tracker is like $40... Help me out here internet friends! I need to make a decision quick so don't leave me hangin'! :OP

Anyway, the big rain storm didn't eventuate today! In fact, aside from a light shower in the early morning it was actually sunny and really quite warm. Had I known this I would have left my beach towel and swimming costume outside to dry instead of bringing them in. The swimming costume seems to be OK, but the towel is still all wet. Boo.

However, the rain is supposed to set in tomorrow, I'm rather hoping it'll wait to late morning, so I can get to ice skating! Also I need to buy a new soap dispenser with that ten dollars I still have on my Fly Buys card at Target because I managed to break the one I have. It sucked! The bathroom floor is still slippery from the soap that was inside. :O(

Do you have any vivid New Year's Eve memories you'd like to share? Well my family and I brought in 1994 on a junk in Hong Kong Harbour, which was pretty damn cool and super memorable! Wasn't so good for Dad though, he gets seasick. But the fireworks and lightshow was spectacular, especially the Garfield themed decoration on the side of one building! He was really big there when we went.

4) Madonna admits she suffers from brontophobia, aka the fear of storms. Are you scared of thunder and lightening? I have to admit I don't like storms very much, especially really loud thunder, but I don't cower under the bed or anything like that.

I have to say I was really surprised that there were real alligators at Disney World! That poor kid. I certainly wouldn't have thought OH&S would have let that go down.

6) More recently, Madonna was at the center of a controversy because Prince fans didn't like her tribute at the Billboard Music Awards. They made themselves heard on social media. Was your last Facebook post or Tweet positive or negative? Well, if we count this one, a bit negative? LOL.

7) One of the things Sam's papa preaches about is car maintenance. He reminds her to check her car's air filter regularly, because a dirty filter can reduce mileage. Share your own car maintenance tip with us. Hmmm, I used to have one, but I've forgotten it now.

8) When she was growing up, Sam's father was often away on business. He always remembered to bring back the complimentary shampoos, conditioners and lotions from the hotels where he stayed. When will you next stay in a hotel (or motel, bed-and-breakfast or Airbnb room)? No idea...I will be on a cruise ship next February though.

9) To celebrate Father's Day, Sam is giving away her father's favorite candy: LifeSavers. Would you prefer a roll of Wild Cherry, Butter Rum, Winter Green or Peppermint? Musk LifeSavers! They're magically delicious. :O)

8:55pm: Fuck me! I've lost my Ferrari hat...the second one! I don't understand what happened! I had it this evening before going to the University of Sydney Library to look something up, I don't recall wearing it when I went into the library, but it was nowhere to be found in the car. I must have either dropped it in the street or left it in the library. And when I went back to the library to ask after it there was no sign. :O(

This is terrible! I hate driving without my driving hat. And now I'm not sure what to do, I think they're available on E-Bay (in fact I know they are), but should I wait to see if it gets turned in?

I seriously can't believe I lost it and in the end I didn't even find what I was looking for in the library, that's insult to injury that really is.

Wow, I don't believe it, someone seriously is selling their Ferrari on Ebay! I was just thinking how funny it would be if someone really was.

So anyway, this evening I had the dubious pleasure of trying to shop for some summer type pants. I had no luck primarily because white and I don't get on.

Also vanity sizing seems to have run amock, today I fit into a size 6 skirt...a size freaking 6! This either means my weight loss is more dramatic than I thought, or they've changed the sizing again to make larger people not seem so large anymore.

I find this really disturbing.

And dang it, I want my hat back damnit!

11:04pm: I need to clean my keyboard, but I'm not quite sure how, I mean I've actually got to clean the keys not just use the canned air or whatever. I really should check Google on this, but does anyone have any tips? I tried to clean the TV screen with directions from Google and let's just say it didn't turn out too well.

In other news, very busy day at work! I stayed back a whole half hour extra to get everything done. But it was the least I could do after the momentual cockup I made not delivering a message from one of my co-workers to the Boss. For some reason I got confused I didn't deliver it, so things got a bit shitty. Man, I suck. Stayed off the internet mostly (but I forgot to wipe out my history, I'm worried my other co-worker will find out and tell me off! Gulp!)

I felt really dodgy a couple of times today, I'm wondering if it's the sausages, I might have to give up on them, or perhaps take my barbeque over to Mum and Dad's to see if Dad can have a go at it. They seem to be too fatty and that's not to good for irritated digestive systems.

Bridget Jones's Diary is on Ch 10 right now, Mr. Darcy swooon! I love that guy, I don't care what any of you on my Friends List say. :OP

6:58pm: I gotta tell you, the whole US Elections are an absolute foreign concept to us here in Australia. I mean we just had an election and people were almost pulling their hair out over it been a six week long thing. In the US, it's two years! Two freakin' YEARS? How can you US people bear it! Probably by not watching the news...which might explain why a lot of US people don't seem to know that much about the world. Because I sure as Hell wouldn't bother watching the news if I had to see politicians polling all the damn freakin' time.

Also what's the deal with these caucusus's (spelling?) Don't the political parties over there choose a leader before they go to the polls? It's bizarre! I mean all these people who are in the same party are against each other, bagging each other out. Are we supposed to believe these people will get on when the better man wins?

I still think (and Dad concurs) that it's a crime not to have compulsory voting...apparently only 35% or something of US people vote. That's not even a majority! That means the President isn't truly democratically elected! It's creepy! And the UK is the same...In fact only 19 countries have compulsory voting. Weak! If you don't vote, you can't complain when someone you don't like gets in.

In other news, I'm really conflicted! I went the The Sydney Festival website to find out about Brian Wilson, and it turns out his playing free at the Domain Saturday night. The very same night of the get together with friends for DVDs and talk. And I've arranged to spend the night at my grandparents' and play Canasta with M. Shiiit...

How much do I want to see Brian Wilson though? It's true he'll be singing the Beach Boys hits, which I love, but...eh... I'd hate to cancel on seeing the friends and I don't think they'd go for going to see Brian Wilson. I'm considering ringing up my mother to ask her advice, but I think she would tell me to go. Argh!

On the other hand...I'm not sure what DVDs the friends are planning to watch, it's possible they may be horror films, which I simply cannot stand, therefore going would perhaps not be all that fun... Arrgh, decisions, decisions!

I thought for a minute that I could do both, but the concert starts at 9:15pm, and in order to get from the north side of Sydney to Newtown and then to the Domain would take too long, I'd have to leave the get together one hour in!

It's definitely tiredness I've got going on here, what's with that...I hope I don't have some virus or disease or something...I doubt it though. Because in general I feel fine.

So the ABC news is on, and there's just been a story about this house fire that killed three young Indian students (how terrible!), they're not sure what caused the fire but rumour has it, it was a left on laptop. If that's the case, yikes! I turn my laptop off every night, but I know a lot of other people don't...gulp.

Now, to decide what I'm gonna have for dinner...if my milk is OK I might have instant noodle pasta thingies, if not...I might have some fish (but there's no chips, eek!).

8:43pm: Oh man, I'm screwed the air conditioning man is coming over tomorrow, maybe early, and my room is still a mess! I have no idea if I'll be able to make this place look presentable, I have so much crap here! I suck! I can't let the guy come in with the place like this...damn...

In other news, my foot still hurts, what's with that? Should I go to the doctor tomorrow? I'm actually planning on hurrying to work if I have time, but if not maybe I should get it checked out. What could it be?

I may have to turn the air con on because it's too hot in here...plus I have to get my ass working on the cleaning!

9:36pm: I'm wondering about NaNo, I mean I'm going to write it and all, but I'm not sure it really counts because it's based on a story I've all ready started...in fact I was typing up the parts I had written into Word and I've got over 10,000 words all ready! Yikes...that's like a fifth of the word count...not that I'm counting it. Hmmm...maybe I could just start from the beginning tomorrow at 12 midnight Greenwich Standard Time (which they seem to be using on the offical website) and use what I've all ready written as a broad outline, because frankly, it seems a little long winded now I've typed it up! Geeze! I could count those as notes so to speak. What say you?

On the other hand I did do 30 Years over a two year period, although it was easily spilt up...hmmm... plus that rule seems to be based off the assumption that if you've started a story you'll have a plot, evidentally these guys have never seen me write! I don't have no plot! (I've got a general idea of course, but no plot! ;O) But whatever I might do what I've said anyway because as I said it seems rather long winded now that it's all typed out...seemed much shorter when I was writing it...

In other news, this person from Ebay accidentally sent me the wrong books, but she's sending on the right ones and told me to keep the ones she accidentally sent, which is rather nice of her and seeing as I'm a cheapskate I don't really feel like fooling around with postage and getting money back and all that jazz. The only problem is that I've all ready got copies of those books, in fact I've all ready got two copies, so now I've got three copies of the same book! Man, maybe I should try to sell on Ebay, but I'm more of a Take-It-Down-To-the-2nd-Hand-Shop kinda person. Although I did shell over a bit for those books...Oh well, you've got to spend your mone on something. :OP

Right now I'm listening to the theme to Shawshank Redemption, don't ask me why, and I swear Ang Lee ripped off part of it for Brokeback Mountain, can he do that? I guess if it's the same composer sure, or maybe it's just a coincidence...Still, if anyone else has that theme they should listen to it, I may just be that tone deaf and they sound nothing alike.

Hey my US friends, how do subjects in High School work over there? Like do you have to do the same number of hours for each subject? Or do some subjects need less (I'm wondering 'cause The HO's journal has him in High School, and so I don't want to get mixed up so I have to draw up him a timetable and stuff), like they're only on three times a week, instead of four, or are the subjects on every day? Here in Aus, as far as I know every school is on a two week timetable, which means usually one week we'd have a subject three times, but the second week we'd have it four times, if that makes any sense whatsoever.

In other news, it's been over the net well OK, all over martyfan and darkjediprinces LJ entries, this bizarre plan for women's health. Actually the not smoking, getting plenty of calicium and exercise isn't really the problem so much as the reason behind it. They're not saying it should be done for a woman's own health, but for a hypothetical baby she may become pregnant with. Errr...what? I can't do that! First of all I'm not planning to have a baby, second of all, if I was to follow this plan, I would have to stop taking my medication (which could interfer with featl development), and since I'm not going to engage in any potiental baby-making activities I hardly think it'd be fair to make me feel bad for been on something like that!

It's also kind of insulting! I mean smoking, diabetes and so on can really screw up a man's sperm count and the health of said sperm, is there a corresponding article about how men have to keep themselves ever-viliglant 'cause hey he never knows when he might impregnante a woman? I'm thinking not.

But anyway, as I said, there's nothing wrong with encouraging women (and men) to be healthy, but don't bring reproduction into it unless it's warranted! I mean geeze, I'd assume women would wish to be healthy whether they're having children or not, I mean telling them not to binge drink or whatever for the sake of a fetus that doesn't actually exist will no doubt piss 'em off. Hell, I'm kinda pissed off about it, because it's not very respecful to women, it sounds like they don't care about women at all, only the babies! Also, as I understand it, America does not have a National Health System like Australia (here in Aus, if you're poor you can go to the doctor's for free, everyone pays taxes for this purpose), so it's kinda rich to ask women to do all this stuff and not offer them an inexpensive means to do it!

Well, whatever, in news that will no doubt cheer all women up, here in Aus, scientists are in (hopefully) the last stages of the Male Pill! Someday, women will be asking the guy if they've taken their pill this evening, and if not no cake for you! :OP

General ponderances...last night I brought up the Van Nguyen situation at the party last night expecting support, only to be surprised!

Both my grandmother and one of my friends state that if a soverign nation has a law, it should be respected.

I don't understand it myself, I think we can all agree that there are certain laws out there which are just wrong. The stoning to death of a woman who loses her virginity (be it from consensual sex or rape). Chopping the hand off someone (who was probably starving) for stealing, things like that.

I'm not saying that Singapore can't be a soverign nation, they can knock themselves out, but we're all members of the human race here, and I seriously believe no matter what religion, or culture or whatever there are bad laws out there. I mean we invaded Iraq, we can't just pick and choose these things.

Not that I'm advocating war, but I think we should keep at these countries, get the UN involved all that jazz.

Frankly I'm just bummed that not many people I've talked to even feel bad for Van Nguyen, they're gonna hang the guy for God Sake! It's sick! If anything goes wrong...I shudder to think...

Anyway to make a long story short I've sent the Prime Minister of Singapore another message of appeal (in my own words this time) and finally found out how I can send an outline of my hand in as a show of support. Which I'll do as soon as I get me some green paper.
