11:14pm: From a young Australian tourist who went to Colombia, bought what she believed were sets of headphones from someone she met there and apparently didn't find it weird that they were given to her in black plastic bin bags secured with sticky tape.

To no-one's surprise (I'm sure) it turned out that each of these 18 packages contained not just headphones, but cocaine.

Now, it's possible that's just a really bad cover story and she did know, but if not I have no idea how anyone couldn't have been suspicious of something wrapped like that, it's the international symbol of "DRUGS ARE IN HERE"

Yaaawn, well I let myself get distracted and now it's on twenty minutes to midnight and I didn't get nearly enough zzzzs last night! Which might have explained why my digestive system was still being an ass. However, that might have had something to do with having to do the Year 2 Scripture Class by myself today! Fortunately, Mum gave me instructions on what to do and it went quite well, nice kids (with a few naughty ones, but none really bad) but still kind of nerve-wracking! I kept forgetting what to say and "um-ing and ah-ing" the whole way through. The career of a teacher is so not for me! :OP

However, I totally need to find myself some more hours...Dad and I met Mum at the office to sign the contract for the other studio apartment - the last one in fact! - and whilst the due date for the stamp duty resets itself (thank God because I had to pay that $650 fine today!) I'll need to be actually employed full-time (or equivalent hours) to be able to live there!

There is a part-time receptionist job that looks interesting, mostly afternoons, but it also seems to want someone who can fill-in when others are on annual leave or whatever - which depending on the day would be difficult...Plus there's one full-day on Friday - but Mrs S did say that if it was just one day I could change one of my three days so I could do that. Although...she did seem to forget that this morning when I spoke to her about it so I was bit worried :OP

But yes, let's not get ahead of oneself - I haven't even applied, LOL!

That in mind though, I'll need my wits about it, so now I shall be off to bed!

10:05pm: Great news everyone! Egyptain's president has thrown in the towel and got out of Eygpt! So now the people will get to have their democratic elections. This is great news! Although hopefully whoever gets in won't be all 'smash Isreal' because that would fuck things up. But still democracy is the way to go, it's not exactly something to be proud of that the West in general helped a dictator stay in power all those years. That seems to be a theme....

Anyway on more local news, I'm back here at the apartment, and I have to make sure to keep it clean, it's all ready looking a bit messy. But I can't really do anything until the big wall unit is finished, because then I'll just have to move everything.

I've also got a box missing, Mum's sure it's safe, but I'm a bit concerned, I might have to pop by the parentals on Monday night to see if I can find it just to reassure myself, because half my DVDs are in there.

Tomorrow my friends are having their birthday party (three of them have the same birthday) and we're going to a croquet club, I've never played croquet before. I hope I don't embarrass myself and also that it doesn't keep raining, I can't imagine been able to hold the mallet and an umbrella at the same time.

6:31pm: I was checking to make sure all our ads had been cancelled at work today when I decided to take a look at apartments in the North Shore area.

And I found a really nice looking one! Just as close as Mum and Dad's place and they'll even throw in a parking spot.

Alas, I can't really afford it, although I might pop by the open house tomorrow just to see if it looks as good in real life as it does on the net, because you know, they often do.

Having said all that, I don't really need to move somewhere else, the only reason to do so would be to be closer to work (and compared to most I'm pretty close all ready) and be on the same side of the Bridge as most of my friends (the Bridge tolls, they kill me!). Although let it be said that this apartment is a one bedroom so I'd have more space for my crap! That's always exciting.

But I guess I better just stay here, and take up Mum's suggestion of getting some built-ins put in and prehaps some new carpet, because the one here is really dodgy.

In other news, there's a big bruhaha regarding Prime Minister Rudd saluting at President Bush, I have to tell you I think he was taking the piss frankly. I mean, he's obviously having a laugh, it's not a real salute. That being the case this is a huge overreaction I say.

Hmmm...well, I don't have much to say right now, I guess I'll just do the memes then:

5:50pm: So the Boss's son brought this speed boat over to the workplace this afternoon (I work from my boss's home which is on the waterfront) and he invited my co-worker Terry and me to have a quick ride (or is it sail? Even if said boat has no sail?). I was most leery of this, but I figured I better go.

Alas, I freaked out a bit, because...well I don't like boats. It was rather nifty when he kicked it up to full speed, the thing can go like 80kms an hour! But yeah, I was sure glad to be back ashore!

In other news, there's still five weeks to go in the stupid Election and it's getting quite annoying all ready. Especially with all those Anti-Union ads from the Liberals. Seriously what the Hell is all that about.

Also I fail to understand economics, if you don't spend money they jumpup and down and go "Spend, spend spend!" You spend money and they're all "No, no, you're spending too much!" There appears to be no middle ground whatsoever. Economics is annoying as Hell I tells ya.

Huzzah, I've just seen on the news that they've catched that pedophiliac asshole who posted a scrambled photo of himself on the net, which the FBI unscrambled. I hope the book gets thrown at him, what a completely sick shit.
