11:36pm: I'm not sure what to do about it...I think I've got some spray but I'm not sure if it'll actually work on moths and I don't want to spray a whole heap of it around if it's not.

Moving on to Tank Update, it's cleared up a bit more and I've moved the filter further down into the water, although after going to the PetStock at Mona Vale after work with Mrs S today I thought that I'd actually put it the wrong way up in the filter holder thing and that's why it was making noise. As it turned out that was a different type of filter, I've taken the hook off so as I said it's lower in the water and it's a bit quieter now. I think that's just how it is. If things keep clearing up and the water test is good I can get a Betta fish next week. Yay.

What else to report? I did get to the gym today! Which is good because that means I've caught up there, plus it's always good to work out. Yay!

And time is getting away from me and I still need to finish my Russian so once again I'm off!

11:10pm: So I'm trying to set up the new fish tank in preparation for - hopefully a new fish - however, I'm worried because the water I've put in it is all murky and cloudy. I have no idea why because I put water in the old fish tank along with the fake fish that came with it and it's clear enough. I can't figure out if it's the actual water or the gravel because it's proper gravel...maybe I need to vacuum clean it before I put a fish in the tank? This is starting to get a bit expensive...

In other news, today it was back to helping Mum in the classroom this afternoon, which went quite well! And then Mum came over to look over the Granny Flat, the review was mostly positively, although she did do quite a bit of cleaning of the surfaces for me. At one point I missed a phone call and then noticed an SMS from the real estate agent apparently saying she was coming over! I did call earlier to see about setting an actual time for tomorrow, but I spoke to a secretary about that and it seems she might have misunderstood? By the time I got around to calling the real estate agent back and it turned out she wasn't coming by after all since the appointment as I said, is supposed to be tomorrow! Anywho, we've set a time now, so that's good.

So now the place is super clean and I really need to keep it that way! It looks so much nicer. You can do it, Moose!

Oh and on a final exciting note guess what I saw in the crate where the landlords keep their gardening stuff? My sponge! Hooray! :OD I was so happy, I picked it up and took it with me to show Mrs S, who had an excellent theory that far from being a bear it is, in fact, a cat. Which makes sense what with the Japanese people's fondness for cats. But yes, it's great to have it back.

Right, I didn't get nearly enough sleep last night so I'm off now.

But wait! I almost forgot the most exciting news of all! I got an email today letting me know I've got an interview for the full-time library assistant job! OMG! Of course I had to call up because the originally had me down for 10am on Friday, but now I'm at 2pm. Oh wow, I really have to make a good impression here...fingers and toes crossed!

9:52pm: I don't know what the Hell is wrong! After a really good start Nedshenko the Fourth died after just one day! This is thoroughly depressing...I really thought it'd be OK this time, what with the special Betta Fish Conditioner for the water and the heater... And like I said, when I put him yesterday he was fine, swimming around all happily.

He was a little odd this morning, he seemed to have got caught up in the heater, but seemed active enough, but when I got home from the gym he was floating almost vertically! I was rather worried, but I figured he might be asleep. Then I went back out for library volunteering and when I got back he was looking quite listless and I started to worry that he was having trouble breathing, cause it looked like it!

I was planning to look into getting a filter of some sort for him, but I just popped over to see how he was going and I'm pretty sure he's gone :O(

Fuuuuck, poor Nedshenko. I really wish I knew what I was doing wrong. I've taken a sample of water from the tank which I'm going to take to the Petstock tomorrow to see if they can tell me there's something wrong with it. Sigh, maybe I should give up on this tank and actually purchase one of those 'proper' fish tanks with the filter and the heater included.

What do you all think? Should I quit for the good of fish everywhere?

In further news, I'm rather concerned about my left wrist, I'm not sure if I mentioned it before, but last week when I went to the gym to do my weights I couldn't do my bicep curls because there was terrible pain in it whenever I tried to lift the weight! So I skipped that particular exercise, hoping it would calm down, however it's still just a painful now a week later! I have no idea what I could have done to it, I can only assume I must have stuffed it up when I tried to help Mum move M and Grandpa's heavy table a couple of Sundays ago.

But I'm rather concerned about this because it also hurts when I left heavy books, which is something I have to do quite a bit at the library - I actually have a shift there tomorrow afternoon! - and when moving Mrs S about. And since I work every day there's no time to rest it...so I'm not sure how it's going to recover. Plus I can't find my wrist brace, so that sucks.

11:04pm: Busy afternoon for me, after volunteering at the library - which I ended later than usual because I got there at 12:30 having gone home to get my towel off the outside railing because it looked like it might rain - I went to Lincraft to buy a petticoat pattern, which I did, hopefully it's the right one! After that I went to the library at the Mall to borrow the second season of Modern Family, which I've been looking for for ages (the copy at Pittwater Library has been in repairs for ages) as well as Book 10 and 11 of The Series of Unfortunate Events I went to Pet Barn where I got...
