Thursday 3XWhat's the point?1. How do you feel about Earth Day? Is it legitament, or is it a hoax? Why/why not?There's an Earth Day? I don't remember that, it sounds cool is it all about ecology and saving the planet and so forth? Helping the poor...I think it's a good idea. The Earth is sorely in need of protection, we're losing all the trees and the Greenhouse Effect and so forth is pretty bad. We really need to take care of it!
2. How do you feel about voting (in any election)? Do you think your vote really counts? Explain.Here in Aus, it's compulsary to show up at a Polling place and get your name ticked off, and while you there you may as well do the voting. Besides I do feel it's important to vote, I can proudly say that
I didn't vote for that coward John Howard in the recent elections! And that my area got the Labour Party in so that's counts.
3. What do you think about paying taxes? I mean, do you ever really see your tax payer dollars at work?Paying taxes is a worthwhile thing when they're used properly, to fund schools, hospitals and roads. At the moment, much of the money seems to be going to things like Government add campaigns and buying crappy army surplus from the US. This is pretty lame when thousands of kids don't have enough text books and stuff at school and people can't get eye and dental care or get turned away from hospital. Tax dollars need to be spent for the benefit of everyone, and I personally think that add campaigns and war machines are not the big issues.
Bonus Question for Comments: Why do you get up in the morning?Cause life is there and it must be lived! :O) Even though I'm spectacularly lazy and spend much of my free time on my butt talking to friend or on the computer and watching tele I have a very good life. I hope to be able to sponser a child or something in the future to help someone else out.
Also I wake up, so...what's the point of just lying there?

B) No2) Why or why not?I think they really went to the moon, I can't imagine that they'd go to all the trouble of faking that and no-one would have conclusive proof yet. After all it would have been faked in 1968, special effects were hardly all that back then. Besides, they've sent satillites and what not to Mars and Jupiter etc. so I think they can get to the moon.
3) Let’s say they finally get it right and we are able to travel to the moon and you are chosen to go along for the ride. They tell you they will provide everything you need, but they will allow you to take one personal item, one grooming item and one food item of choice.

Thursday ThoughtsThis/ThatPick one word from each of the following pairs.
1. Laptop or desktop computer?Laptop, because you can take your files everywhere instead of having to keep transferring stuff all over the place, really annoying if you forget stuff. Also laptops are just as good (and better) than desktops now a days, so that's cool. :O)
2. When listening to music, headphones or no headphones?No headphones, I don't like the new headphones the ones you stick in the ear, I just find it a hassel and they keep falling out as well! Although outside of course I perfer headphones since it's pretty annoying having to listen other people's music. Particularly the crap sort. ;O)
3. CD or mp3?That's a hard one, my favourite songs are all on CD, but mp3s are a lot easier to keep track of...but since I don't have a laptop it
is easier to have the songs on CDs that I can carry around. Plus I like CD leaflets and whatnot.
4. When watching TV, lights on or off?During a movie, lights off. Other times lights on, I usually multi-task so I like to have the lights on so I don't strain my eyes.
5. DVD or VHS?DVD, especially if it's got
Special Features! It's so much crisper and you can find the spot you want easily and it's over all a better viewing experience I feel. Plus you can play DVDs on a compitable computer and take screenshots. :O)
The Thursday Threesome::Domain Name Renewal...::Onesome: Domain--Hypothetically, if you could own any domain name you wanted, what would it be and why?www.moose.com.au...that'd be sweet! :O) First of all it's my nickname, it's also short and it's got the au on the end for Australia. :O) I wonder if it's still avaliable...

Twosome: Name-- Are you called by something other than your legal name? If not, have you ever had a nickname? Or done something weird with your name, to try and stand out? Like an odd spelling or a slightly different pronunciation? Or just flat out wanted to change your name? To what?As previously stated my nickname is Moose, even though when I was a kid my favourite animal was the bison. I guess it's because my name is Monica. Which is a good name, 'cause it's not too common so I never had to say "Do you mean me?" at school. :O)
Nope never wanted to change the name or give it weird spelling and pronounciation, I find that a little annoying if it's too crazy!
Threesome: Renewal--Do you have any magazine or other subscription that is an absolute 'must renew' whenever you get the notice?Until recently no, now I have the paid LJ account and the extra pictures, so hopefully I'll get a notice to renew them so I can. Which brings me to wonder, if you don't renew your pics and stuff before they run out do you lose all you piccies? 'Cause that'd be a real pain...
Ok, it's time to go to the WORDS meeting! I'm looking forward to it...I also have to do my papers and next week no moping! I have to get them done befor 12pm because otherwise I'm not forfilling my work standards properly and that's just wrong.
