11:22pm: Because my caboose seems to have widened further in just the past week! o.O I wore my size 12 black pants to the library today and had to undo the top button for most of the time because it felt too tight! However, that could have just been my imagination, or rather my guts deciding to be an ass. Because they were for quite a bit of today. They've settled down now. But seriously, I can't afford to buy anymore new pants, plus I think I might end up being one of those in between sizes which are notoriously difficult to buy for.

Anyway! I'm reporting from my parents house, where Alleluia I have access to an internet that actually works! Man, I've forgotten how fast webpages actually load when you've got some decent speed. Bah, the new monthly cycle back at the flat doesn't start for another five days, SIGH! I may end up staying here at Chateau Mum & Dad's longer than planned just to take advantage of things here...but I want to go to the gym tomorrow along with swimming, but the pool closes to the public at 2:45pm and I have to go back to the flat first so that might not be as feasible as hoped.

Once again, as it turns out, I'm not working tomorrow or Thursday, I'm not actually sure how long that will continue, Mrs. S says it'll be until I'm comfortable working on my own, but I'm still not sure how long that will take! Today went mostly OK, but I made a slight mistake with the toilet, which could result in serious trouble down the line if the other carer hadn't been there to back me up. Oh well, at least I made the bed nicely...oh and helped with the sorting out of the kitchen, Mrs. S didn't need a few things so I ended up with a nice Christmas tea towel with Rudolph on it, a pizza cutter and a teaspoon/tablespoon hybrid measuring thing. Niiice.

Volunteering at the library proved fun as ever! :OD Sniff, oh library jobs why do you forsake me? Although I am reminded I'm supposed to call and ask if there was anything I could have done to better my resume and/or cover letter, best get onto that actually because it's been almost a week since I was denied and it'll look kind of weird.

I also decided to make an odd borrowing choice at the library today - a Annotated copy of Pride and Prejudice, now I own that book, but not the Annotated copy, which sounded like a very interesting read so I figured what the Hell. And there sure is a lot of notes! The book is like twice the size because of all of them. I'm three or four chapters in now and it's proving intriguing and educational so far.

I guess, I should wrap it up here because it's getting late and I should get the proper amount of shuteye. All in all it's been a very good day indeed! Especially because of lasagna and pancakes! Delicious! Although I really should have made more cheese sauce...I rely on following the recipe too much.

9:51pm: Well, the Rudd Government has been doing rather well in my eyes especially with "Sorry Day" coming up on the 13th February.

But I just heard on the news today that apparently Australia's official policy is that Taiwan should be part of China! I didn't know this and it's not something I agree with. Taiwan wishes to be independent and all the more power to them I say! And if we're gonna agree with China on that, are we gonna agree that Tibet is part of China too?

Well, I'm sure not going to!

I'm rather appalled frankly, because China is very oppressive to Tiawan and keeps it in line with threats. And that's not cool.

What also isn't cool, President Bush's budget...apparently he thinks the US Army needs another billion more than the woefully inadequate health system over there. Seriously, I have no idea how US citizens can stand it, I'd probably rather get sick in Bali (knock on wood) then in the US! I still fail to see how people can morally accept the idea that some people should be excluded from vital medical care based on how much they earn or don't. That's just wrong.

Hmmm...I've caught up on what I wrote on my George III story over the weekend, which is good. I'm trying to think of what to write next...although it will be bedtime soon.

Oh! And how could I forget! Pancakes were had and they were very yummy indeed, alas there was no properly whipped cream though (since I took the electric beaters to my hoouse) and that fake stuff, while good on ice cream just doesn't cut it on a pancake.

Well, once again it is 10:30, good thing I'm at my parents house and so can sleep in a little, but not too much because I had to leave work early today to go to the Podiatrist. The result I need new orthotics and I had a cast taken of my feet! It takes them 3 weeks to make them, but in the meantime my old ones have been readjusted and no longer hurt my arches.

However, my brown shoes don't seem to fit right with the orthotics in...dang.

Right, to bed!
