Woah, What's This 'We" thing?

9:51pm: Well, the Rudd Government has been doing rather well in my eyes especially with "Sorry Day" coming up on the 13th February.
But I just heard on the news today that apparently Australia's official policy is that Taiwan should be part of China! I didn't know this and it's not something I agree with. Taiwan wishes to be independent and all the more power to them I say! And if we're gonna agree with China on that, are we gonna agree that Tibet is part of China too?
Well, I'm sure not going to!
I'm rather appalled frankly, because China is very oppressive to Tiawan and keeps it in line with threats. And that's not cool.
What also isn't cool, President Bush's budget...apparently he thinks the US Army needs another billion more than the woefully inadequate health system over there. Seriously, I have no idea how US citizens can stand it, I'd probably rather get sick in Bali (knock on wood) then in the US! I still fail to see how people can morally accept the idea that some people should be excluded from vital medical care based on how much they earn or don't. That's just wrong.
Moving away from the world's problems, here's a quizzie that reveals mine. ;O)
Well, that's true enough...they call 'em as they see 'em I guess...Although once again, they're very black and white, there's no 'sometimes' option. Pain in the butt that.
Hmmm...I've caught up on what I wrote on my George III story over the weekend, which is good. I'm trying to think of what to write next...although it will be bedtime soon.
Oh! And how could I forget! Pancakes were had and they were very yummy indeed, alas there was no properly whipped cream though (since I took the electric beaters to my hoouse) and that fake stuff, while good on ice cream just doesn't cut it on a pancake.
TMI Tuesday
1. By what nickname(s) were you known as a child?
Mon, Moose, Moosey and Moose-like. All of which I am still known as now.
2. Do you have a favorite poem and, if so, what is it? Recite it (or a snippet) here, please.
Hmmm...never really thought about it...I do like that poem about flying...it's called High Flight and was written by a World War I pilot. "I have slipped the (something) bonds of Earth/ And touched the face of God."
3. What is your greatest regret in life, something that you failed to do that you wish you did?
Not going on the Back to the Future: The Ride when I was at Universal Studios California. Even if it was still there I doubt I could go on it now because I can't even sit sideways on a bus without feeling nauseous let alone go on rides. Damn that milkshake! Damn it, I say!
4. You are tired and hungry, but it's too late to cook. If any snack food were available to you, what would you choose and why?
A sausage roll, because it's yummy and filling.
5. What is the oldest item of clothing (not jewelry!) that you wear regularly and what do you love about it?
Hmmm...I guess...this white t-shirt I have, it must be about four years old now, but it's still good except for the seelves where the thread has come loose.
Bonus (as in optional):Name a movie or TV show that changed your thinking or behavior.
Well, The Simpsons made me a quoting manic, but I'm not sure if perhaps I wouldn't have choosen some other medium to express myself in quotes.
Ten on Tuesday
10 Things You Hate About Politics
1. The bald-face lying
2. The boring speeches
3. Listening to conservatives sprout crap
4. Listening to the ultra-religious sprout crap and tell you who to vote for
5. Budget cuts to the important things like health and education
6. Increasing the defence budget
7. People who don't care about voting
8. The fact we've got to put up with it for six weeks
9. That John Howard was in power for 11 years
10. The politicians who sprout sexist crap
Well, once again it is 10:30, good thing I'm at my parents house and so can sleep in a little, but not too much because I had to leave work early today to go to the Podiatrist. The result I need new orthotics and I had a cast taken of my feet! It takes them 3 weeks to make them, but in the meantime my old ones have been readjusted and no longer hurt my arches.
However, my brown shoes don't seem to fit right with the orthotics in...dang.
Right, to bed!
Goodnight all.
