10:52pm: You'll never guess who I got a phone call from this morning on my mobile at work....

My parents!

Yes, all the way from Time Square, New York City! Those lucky SOBs! :O) They sent me a photo of Dad infront of the square, but Mum hasn't figured out how to use her new mobile phone camera, so it came out all blurry. Heh, Live from New York in Sunday Night! ;O)

I've just been playing the Sims, alas I didn't get enough time to actually do anything with my sims, except get some new outerwear. Oh well, Wednesday is a public holiday so they'll be time to do it tomorrow, I suppose.

It was a real big schmoozle this morning, I neglected to set my mobile phone's alarm properly and if not for the little bro who knows when I would have woken up! Cripes! As it was I was half an hour late, although much of it was to do with the traffic, it was absolute shithouse! I don't know if it was because school has gone back or what...

Of course, it might have been due to the rain, since last night it's been raining and this afternoon especially it was really coming down (not in the dam of course), in fact it seems to have knocked off the Foxtel, which sucks. I hope it's back to normal tomorrow, otherwise I'll have to call them up and fool around with stuff.

Anywho, I better get my ass to bed now because it's late! Before I go though...

Right, to bed with me! :O)

10:58pm: Rain falls in the catchment area today! :OD

It's raining down at the moment actually, well it's good to see some I guess.

I had a really bad headache a few hours ago, it was weird, because it only hurt when I moved my head a certain way. I figure it was that time o' the month screwing with me, so I took one of the pills the doc prescribed to me. At which point my stomach area chucked a total spaz! I was rather concerned and lied down but after a while I felt better. Thems pills good, maybe a bit too good because I seemed to have trouble talking and thinking, weird! But I feel fine now, so it's all good. I'm here at the parentals because Mum needs me to do a favour.

Stop! Survey Time! )

I've been trying to fix up my typewriter a bit, make it a bit smaller because it really is too big to reflect what a typewriter looks like in real life, but for some reason the new version of Sim PE won't let me. I'm pretty pissed off actually, because I had a brainwave and thought about how I could even animate it! Sigh!

I've also got a sore spot on the bottom of my tongue, probably because I keep biting it, I swear I've done that three times today and it's pretty painful!

My mother is forcing me to watch Cricket, ugh, and I just found out she ate all the ham so I won't be able to have a ham and cucumber sandwich for lunch! How unfair!

Anyway, enough of my whinnin' here's the Meme:

Unconcious Mutterings

I say ... and you think ... ?

1. The best thing :: since sliced bread.

2. Hold :: it, mould it... (Weird, maybe those hair gel ads have got to me!)

3. Rapture :: Homer, remember how he was sure the Rapture was coming?

4. Cover :: Insurance (Look at me, Ma, I'm an adult!)

5. Restrictive :: clothes

6. Baker :: Butcher, Candle-stick maker.

7. Author :: ME! (I'm so modest! :OP)

8. Pill :: The.

9. Months :: Every day has September...etc etc

10. Valentine’s Day :: Whatevah.

What the-? There's this really weird show on ABC, with this really annoying voiced guy, I hate annoying voiced people. Gawd.

But it is about murders so that's interesting.

Anywho, I'm going to see if there's something new about making objects in the latest Sim PE.

Good night to ye all!

11:08pm: I'm back to my laptop! Which is always a bit difficult, because the screen resolution is smaller than any other comp I've been on, so it's a bit like going frm large print to regular print books. (I did that once, man it was painful...my eyes hurt for ages!)

Anywho, I have no recovered from my lower abdominal problems, but really, how embarrassing! I can't believe it turned out to be cramps, I really should speak to my doctor about that, because really you shouldn't be nearly bedridden every month!

Speaking of bed, I be tired...so I shall do the Memes and then retire! )

9:48pm: I was at work today doing the Hospital files, they're so interesting! Although today I saw this guy who was called, in all seriousiness Frederick Fredericson, pft! Wow, hope his parents didn't hurt themselves coming up with that one.

OK, it's probably not that funny, but when you're doing nothing put pulling out staples and rotating pages the simplest things are funny. :OP

NaNo is going well, I'm almost up to 5,000 words, that's 10% isn't it? Go me.

Yep it is.

Tomorrow is the appointment with the Pyschiartrist, I'm supposed to tell him what jobs I've applied too, and fuck me I've hardly applied to any, and the ones I have to I haven't got so much as a phone call or a note back saying "Thanks but no thanks" Dad brought up a rather disturbing posibility that somehow they're finding out I've applied to heaps and heaps of other jobs and left one and been fired from another and basically, they're not touching me with a ten foot pole. Either that or they've found my LJ, if the latter's true I am so stuffed, my friends, in facts words coud not describe how stuffed I'd be. They shouldn't be able to find it though because it's not on any Search Engine.

Anywho right now I'm watching a show about Sleep Walkers...yikes, this guy killed his girlfriend apparently while he was sleeping! If that's true how shit would you feel? I mean you'd want to kill yourself when you woke up and realised it wouldn't you?

Apparently, I used to or maybe still do Sleep-talk, which is unsurprising and rather fitting for chatty me :OP But I haven't seemed to have done so, maybe since Dad accidentally tripped over my head when I was sleeping in my parents room. I can't believe he didn't even look me over carefully, he could have killed me outright! (OK, probably not, but I could have been concussed.)

Well, I'm distracted today and tired because Dad woke me up early coming in here (I'm still at my parents house) to look for his glasses, which have totally disappeared. Lucky for him he's got spare ones, I don't actually, so if I lose mine I'm stuffed because I can't see anything.

Right, I'm going waay off topic here, so I'm gonna Meme and go to bed:

Thursday 3x

Boys and Girls and Fashion

1. Are you in to clothes and fashion? Does it matter to you? Why/why not?

Hells no, because I'm a cheapskate and clothes are so expensive, plus most of the time it looks like crap with frills and shit. Bah!

2. Girls: Do you wear heels? Why/why not? Are they comfortable? Guys: What's your take on dressing up in suits and ties?

I can't wear stiletto heels because my feet roll out, I once put on a half-inch pair of stilettos, took one step and almost sprained my ankled! Regular heels are OK, but not for an extended period. Plus, wearing heels for long amounts of time is so bad for your back it's not funny. Women should cut back on wearing them as much as possible.

3. What do you think of these people today who wear their jeans on their asses? You know, boxers sticking 3/4 of the way out...wearing a 40 waist when it should be a 32. Do you think it's becoming? Do you care? Why/why not?

Oh man, that looks so bad! Not to mention uncomfortable as Hell, I mean I don't understand how they don't just trip over, and how they stay up when they run. Although I probably wouldn't go so far as to ban them like this town did in Viriginia (or was it West Virginia?), that's probably going too far.

Bonus Question for Comments: Do you like to get dressed up? Why/why not?

Now, oddly enough, despite my dislike of normal everday fashion there's nothing I like more than getting into a formal dress, such as Albert, often I go into Formal Dress Shops to see what's new. It must be said though, nothing compares to Albert. :O)

Booking Through Thursday

NaNoWriMo

1. Yesterday, November 1st, began the annual NaNoWriMo challenge--where lots of marginally crazy people try to write a 50,000 word novel in one month. What do you think about that idea? Crazy? Inspired? Challenging?

I think it's a great idea for aspiring writers, I for one have developed a rather dispressing habit of not writing my stories through out the year (they bounce around in my head instead), this is just what I need to get off my ass!

2. Would you/Have you tried it yourself? In other years? (Or this one, in which case, shouldn't you be writing and not reading blogs?)

I'm doing it! :O) In fact this is my third year doing it, I was first tipped off to it by [livejournal.com profile] timewanderer back in 2004, which involved me making a maaad dash to get the 50,000 words in like two weeks, I managed it though, so phew! 2005 was a bit easier, but I still haven't finished 30 Years is a Long Time To Wait, and I've put it on the backberner in favour of another tale. Ah well.

3. If you took away the time pressure, would you/have you tried writing a novel of your own?

Yep, the problem is I like to write looong sweeping stories, in the old days I could never finish a story, I still can't but now I don't give up on them 'til I'm up to page 500 (I kid you not in one case...). Also I write fanfic, which alas except for very special circumstances can never be published! Ironically, my story of George III could be published without so much as a 'by your leave' from the Royal Family. Muhahahaha!

Thursday Threesome

::Off to see the wizard::

Onesome: Off-- to do something productive? What are your spare time hobbies? ...or do you have a life ?

Well, I'm doing NaNo at the moment, so I really should be writing, but I'm doing OK at the moment, and I didn't get much time to think at work, because you still have to concentrate on the papers and whatnot. For my spare time hobbies I like to surf the net and play Sims 2, also chat on AIM. I have entirely too much free time at the mo, sooo, I'm doing all that way too much!

Twosome: to see-- beyond the horizon? Where would you like to take your hypothetical 'unlimited' vacation?

Sniff! My father had the greatest idea last night, but I don't think my mother will go for it. Next year the parental units are going away for many months, and I'm worried because I'm a wuss and get homesick (read: seperation anxiety or something). Dad suggested it might be a good idea for me to come with them (I have enough money for a plane ticket) and get a working Visa in England. That way I could work, gain some experience and earn English pounds! Plus I could visit Windsor Castle and the British Library and find out all sorts of things! Frankly, I think it sounds great! But, I have my doubts...But still that would be cool, they might still have that special exhibit about George III going on and I can go see it and get my picture taken with the wax representation of him. Also, I could go to New York and see my friend, [livejournal.com profile] bookscorpion, good times, good times.

Threesome: the Wizard-- There's always (or should be) a fix-it wizard around the place; do you have one you can call on to take care of those minor repairs that crop up? ...or are you "it"?

Uh...I guess my father would be that, my attempts to repair or fix things have often ended in disaster, I almost broke my VCR trying to get a tape out with the help of gravity and a knife (don't worry I unplugged it!). I do know what to do if a fuse blows in the house though, so that's a plus. Still...

In other news what do you think of this John Kerry thing? Frankly he's got a point, the Army routinely goes after people who aren't doing well in school or who aren't interested in going to school. That doesn't mean that they're dumb though, so he probably deserves the comments he got. But seriously though, I heard the creepiest things about the US Army, like they go after people and call them up and try to get them to join, that would creep me the Hell out. At least over here they just put adds in the paper.

Oh well, Looks like John Kerry will go the way of Mark Latham over here, promising, but then they put their foot in it and its bye-bye, Kerry doesn't have quite the potty mouth Mark Latham did though.

Meanwhile, we're all gonna die of thirst here in Australia unless we do something...it's time to bring out the water recycling, I hear it's quite safe and I'm game, bring it on!

And that's all I have to say tonight. Goodnight!

5:01 pm: I got caught up playing the Sims last night so I didn't get back with the Memes...and then this morning I was on there again, geeze planning a Wedding even for Sims is hard as Hell! In the end it didn't even go totally to plan...three of my guests were too absorbed in the piano and the dart board and didn't bother to come out and watch the bride and groom tie the knot. Tsk, tsk.

In other news it's been pissing down alll day...which sucks because I'm desperate for cheese, but I don't really want to walk all the way down there even with an umbrella because I'm sure my shoes will get soaked. Most annoying of all, this rain isn't going into the dams! Argh! I really thing it's time to accept the fact the dam is useless right now, we need to get us some storm water tanks or something.

Well, I should take it out of the rain, we do need it and it did make a nice sound last night while it was falling. Although it's going to rain for the rest of the week it would seem! Which probably means I'll have to go and pick up Mum. Do'h, I don't want to go driving around in this weather, it freaks me out a bit, there's always accidents going on in this weather...

Anyway...better catch up on those Memes.

God, I sure wish I had some cheese...I'm seriously addicted to that stuff...I neeeeed it! Maybe I can convince my mother to get the bus to Coles and buy me some and pick her up from there...I don't rate my chances though.

Maybe it's just 'cause I've got a major case of the munchies or something...I swear I'm not eating enough...I just forget too and I can't eat anything big now because dinner's almost ready and if I do, then I won't eat it and that would piss Dad off.

Having said that though, I'm gonna go downstairs and see if I can sneak something...FOOOOD!

Oh this pisses me off, my poor back is beginning to hurt again, prehaps it's this chair? Or my posture? Or perhaps it's sympathy pain since my Dad has hurt his back as well, bah humbug!

I hope it goes away because it won't do to get in trouble with my back again because I won't be able to say anything about it, since as Dad reminded me such health issues are the touch of death in job interviews. Oh well, I'll do some back stretches later on and see if that helps.

Well they couldn't have picked a worser time, becuase I've just recieved a phone call from a place I applied for as a casual clerk and I now have an interview for Thursday, this could be my chance!

I've been speaking to the ever famous Blind Spot [livejournal.com profile] old_biff on AIM, ah I love you AIM :O) It's very interesting to hear his reasoning behind Twin Pines 2010.

Hey it finally happened after all this rain over the past few days we've got 22- yep count 'em 22 militres of rain in the Catchment area! My God that is so lame, I hope the run-off raises it a bit more, otherwise we really need to move that damn thing.

Hmm,well I gotta go cook spagetti now, trying to remember the family recipe, I think I should have gotten onions while I was out shopping, but shove it, it says they've got some in the pasta sauce anyway.

Off I go!
