10:30pm: With RPG, because today I made another LJ - [livejournal.com profile] bitofaclotpole and you guessed it it's for little!Arthur, I couldn't resist, and RPGing friend of mine made one for her character and well yeah... Didn't help that after looking about for someone suitable I found a blond kid in the Chronicles of Narnia with the right clothes and everything and had to go for it, LOL!

I am strangely tired...I thought I got enough sleep last night but maybe not and considering I have to get up early tomorrow I should turn in soon - I have to get up so there's enough time for me to download the latest Merlin episode before Mum and I head up the coast for M's birthday party and my Auntie Weed's house. I guess I'll have to get up at about 7:30am to do that.

But let's have some Memes, please! )

And now I lay me down to sleep!

Goodnight all!

10:21pm: Well, just a few more things to be put into boxes and the removal of all my clothes and the place should be clear for the new carpetting and whatnot to be put in.

But geeze, my eyes are so itchy it's not funny! Also, why the Hell am I so tired? I think my mother woke me up too early this morning when she rang up to arrange to come over and pick up the boxes.

Of course, she advised me to stay up late and finish packing, which really doesn't mesh. :OP

In other news, I keep thinking I need to go to work tomorrow and I'm going to get in trouble for not doing so.

I even entertained the strange idea of doing what George Constanza did in an episode of Seinfield and just show up as if I hadn't been fired. I sincerely doubt this would work, though.

So yeah not much else to report, except zzzzs.

11:08pm: Seriously! There's a movie on ABC2 called Jet Storm, which sounds like some sort of shonky 80's war movie title, but is in fact a film from 1959 about a nutcase who brings a bomb onto a plane to kill some guy who killed his kid.

I love how they're looking for the bomb and are just tossing suitcases around, better hope that it's not one of those ones that goes off when you move it.

Another thing that bothers me, there's apparently a downstairs to this plane with windows, but on the outside shots the plane only has one level...so, where's this lower level! You think they'd notice this while the were filming the thing.

In other news, I'm tired...dunno why, I think I got a decent amount of sleep, but then I did get woken up rather than waking up on my own, so it might have been at a bad time in the sleep cycle or whatever.

Tonight after church Mum and I went to see The Young Victoria, it was fun! Albert was very attractive indeed and Victoria was played well. There was also some historical licence taken, but they always do that.

Four For Friday

Q1 - Wikipedia: It appears Wikipedia's positioning as the Internet's encyclopedia may be in need of some editing of its own. Media reports quote a spokesperson for the Wikimedia Foundation, which manages the uber-site, as saying that the English-language version of Wikipedia.org will soon start experimenting with designated editors to check for errors, vandalism and opinions sneaking their way into entries involving public figures still living. Have you ever created or edited a Wikipedia entry?

Not created one, but I've edited a few, mostly spelling errors and times when people have put lame comments and whatnot.

Q2 - Hypnosis : Experts estimate over 10 million Americans suffer from disabling chronic pain, and there is considerable scientific evidence that practicing self-hypnosis under the guidance of a certified hypnosis professional can quickly help improve the quality of life for these people. According to Michael Ellner, an internationally prominent self-hypnosis educator and co-author of three books on self-empowerment, the recent spate of bad news about possible adverse effects of popular analgesics and concerns about abuse, overdose, and addiction to controlled pain killers are compelling reasons to consider effective complementary and alternative approaches like self-hypnosis. Have you ever been hypnotized? If not, would you consider hypnosis to treat chronic pain?

Hmmm...well I haven't ever gone under hypnosis, but I've gone to those relaxation type things in Yoga, where you lie on the floor and progressive relax every muscle, which is kind of like hypnosis. It works quite well.

Q3 - Death of a Kennedy: Two prominent members of the Kennedy family passed away this month. Which do you feel had a greater impact on society... Edward Moore "Ted" Kennedy (born February 22, 1932 - died August 25, 2009) -- a United States Senator and a member of the Democratic Party; or his sister, Eunice Kennedy Shriver (born July 10, 1921 - died August 11, 2009) -- founder of the Special Olympics and founder of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD)?

To be honest I'd never heard of the latter, but having founded the Special Olympics and helping kids is pretty damn important and something to be proud of.
I'm not sure exactly what Ted Kennedy did though, so I'll have to reserve judgement.

Q4 - Era: If you could choose any era other than the one in which you currently live, what era would you live in? (Think ancient Rome, the middle ages, Gupta Empire, Ottoman Empire, industrial revolution, etc.)

Well, I'd be really intrigued to go back to the Georgian Era, but the corsets and the lack of hygiene and what not would grow really old after a while. So I guess I'd go to the 60s, because that would be fun, Woodstock, Flower Power...

Saturday 9

:The Waiting:

1. Have you ever stayed online for a very long time waiting for someone?

Nah, not really, I always happen to be something else at the time, LOL!

2. How do you eat oreos?

Twist them apart, lick of the cream and eat the two halves. The ads have got to me.

3. Are you cocky?

Nah, not really.

4. Did you have an imaginary friend as a kid?

Lots! Good times, good times.

5. What t.v. station do you watch the most?

Crime & Investigation Network
! I love it!

6. Have you ever seen the ocean?

Yeah, I live in Sydney! I see it all the time.

7. Have you ever been hospitalized?

When I was a baby I had a twisted stomach and had to have an operation on it.

8. What's your favorite brand of rootbeer?

Don't like root beer.

9. Could you live without a computer?

Hell no! I'm addicted to it!

LOL and no points to this movie for sending a poor kid in to do their dirty work. That won't scar the kid for life or nothing.

Oh no, they've done it themselves by telling the kid he's gonna get blown up, I see a pyschiatrist in his future.

It did work though, better crazy than dead or something?

So yeah, I'll be heading off to bed now.

Good day to you all!

10:07pm: Oh so sleepy...what's with that? Very annoying...I better get my ass to bed so I'm not tired tomorrow.

I'm watching the first episode of Hornblower on ABC2, ah these were the good old days before he got all dark and broody and shit. And Archie was still around, well, at least until he got sent of on a rowboard and got stuck in Spanish prison.

And now Memes! )

Well, that's all I have to report, you Western Hemisphere people enjoy your Sunday!

9:49pm: Apparently there's a cold going around and I'm kind of worried I might be coming down with it as I feel unaccountably tired. I mean yeah I stayed out late last night (we didn't end up going to a resturant after all, so we just filled up on junk food) and probably got a little less than 9 hours sleep, but man...

I felt just terrible during Church, I thought I was gonna pass out or something it was really weird.

Anyway I'm at my parents house since I was a little concerned that if I am getting a cold the last think I want to do is drive all the way to work from Newtown. I suck at driving when I've got a cold.

Anyway, here's memes! )

There's a Simpsons episode on Animation Domination that I haven't seen before so I'm gonna hurry on downstairs to tape that one and then to bed with my tired eyes.

Goodnight all.

7:34pm: I'm a bit concerned, I feel I slept relatively well last night, except when I woke up at 4am to discover the fridge door was partially open (crap!), and I got up at 11:30. However, by about 4pm I was fighting to keep my eyes open. I don't understand!

Granted I was able to go out to the library and check out those books I wanted (not literally because I don't have a Uni Library card). I even walked down to the IGA and got some bread and milk. But I'm still tired!

I hope I don't have some weird virus, although as I understand something like mono has you completely flat on your back and it's not like I can't walk or something.

In other news I forgot to hang up my phone last night and it's out of charge so I wasn' apple to make any calls, and I realised at the Uni Library that Work for the Dole might be on tomorrow! Damn...I can't even remember the number...and the person probably won't be there until 9 so if I waited to call it would take too long for me to get there if I am needed.

Although, it's not excatly the world's hardest volunteer work as I mentioned, last time I didn't really help anyone do anything...

Hmmm...Forensic Files tonight involves the murder of a woman who's husband works at an Abortion Clinic. As such they weren't too popular....I certainly don't agree with abortion, but geeze blowing up clinics and threatening people is disgusting. I tell you there's crazy Fundies evereywhere.

I have to say though, I was rather distressed last night when I found out that there are 90,000 abortions in Australia every year! :Oo That doesn't seem right at all! It seems rather unneccessary...

Hmm, my nose hurts, I've got that stupid staph infection thing again, what's with that? I'm very annoyed...I must dig up my nose cream.

So! What to do tomorrow...should I just go down to the Computer Centre? I suppose I'll have to... Sigh! I really need a job, I applied for one in a Publishing Company that I'm rather excited about, I hope they get back to me!

Oooh neat! New Season of Mythbusters starts on Monday, cool, I love those guys.

Anywho, Crime Night is on and I want to concentrate on it, they've got 3D graphics! Do I'll be off for now.
