10:30pm: Most definitely feelin' lazy today! Not only have I left it to now to update the LJ, I haven't really done any writing either. Bad me!

Awww, shit there's a big blow fly in here, I don't know how it got in here, but it's pretty damn annoying, I used to have some fly spray, but I'm not sure where it is, plus whenever I use that stuff it doesn't really work. Damn you, inefficient fly spray!

In other news, success! That anti-thrush oral treatment is finally working, my tongue is almost clear! Alas I had to buy a third bottle of the stuff because I'm about to run out of the second bottle. Man, I could kick myself for not putting the lid on the first one properly, dumbass move!

Also, today Terry from Berry returned from his week's holiday sporting a goatee, which was damn hilarious, he looked like he should either be wearing a Hawaiian shirt or a 'Hells' Angels' leather jacket.

He also incidentally gave me advice re: my tax return, so I might not owe money after all (phew!) except I can't find the damn Notice of Assessment anywhere and I can't submit my tax return electronically until I do that. Argh, dang it! I knew I had it when I started doing my tax because that's the only way to get the program going. The schools shall be blamed!

Right, I have to get my ass to bed because once again I was almost late this morning, so I definitely need to haul ass a few minutes earlier.

Ooh! But before I forget exciting news!

It Came! )

And on that note, I bid you all good night.

7:01pm: On my way back from picking up lunch for work today, I slipped on a small twig and almost ended up on my ass.

I didn't, but it appears I've done in my knee, it's gone from hurting a little too hurting a whole lot. Owwww! This sucks, because it's really hard to concentrate and crap. Plus what will happen tomorrow? If it's worse I'll be pretty stuffed.

So, I've put on a knee bandage thing, but I can't find my proper one, I hope it still works a bit though. I guess I should go and put some frozen peas on it or something.

ZOMG! Ferraris in Liechardt (which is just up the road from where I am)! Or at least there were they've headed off to Melbourne now. I have to ask, what sort of cruel people set up something like this to happen on a workday? I missed that whole thing?

Four for Friday

-- The Early Edition --

Q1 - Breakfast: If you could have had anything other than what you ate for breakfast this morning, what would you have ordered up?

Well, all I had for breakfast was a mandarin because I forgot I didn't have any bread in the apartment and I hadn't bothered to go out and get milk. If I could've had breakfast though I would have liked some yogurt for the acidophilius factor (good for the digestion) and the mandarin.

Q2 - Opinions: A friend of mine recently decided to try online dating, and one site asked the following question: "Imagine that your friends had to choose the best four descriptions of you from the items listed below. Click next to the four items that they would be most likely to pick." My guess is that hardly anyone ever asks his or her friends to supply the answer. If you are/were single, would you [ask a friend to supply the answer]?

That's a weird question, I mean how many options were given? Because I probably wouldn't fit into any of them! :OP But I'd have no problem asking my friendstheir opinion of me.

Incidentally why has this question got parenthesis's in a weird spot?

Q3 - Trading In: According to a recent CNN.com poll, approximately 50% of Americans say they are seriously thinking of trading in one or more of their cars for a vehicle offering better fuel economy. How about you?

I'm still trying to figure out my car's fuel enconomy, sometimes I get like 10 litres per 100 kms, sometimes more and sometimes less. It seems driving while nervous really brings down the fuel efficiency, also having the seat too close. Interesting, I say.

But unless I get a Smart Car or a diesel car or something I can't imagine I could get better fuel efficiency, so I'm good.

Q4 - Possessions: If you could own one item that a friend of yours currently owns, what possession of his or hers would you make yours?

Hmmm...I can't think of anything a friend of mine has that I would want to take...Especially if that meant they didn't have it anymore!

Friday Fill-In

1. On my laziest day I like to sit on my ass infront of my laptop! (Wait I do that nearly every weekend :OP)
2. Writing makes me feel like I'm being productive.
3. I love little
things and big things. (Hence my collection of oversized objects! I also like undersized objects

4. This summer I want to I dunno, summer's ages and ages away!

5. [livejournal.com profile] ant_farm and [livejournal.com profile] hansmoleman made me start my blog LJ.

6. Red
the colour of my shirt and orange is the colour of the House I was in during High School.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to dunno, maybe a bit of Sims 2 maybe some writing, tomorrow my plans include going to a friends' housewarming party and Sunday, I want to make sure my knee is better!

The (Other) Friday Five

1. What were some of the smells and tastes of your childhood?

See, I think more in terms of visual stuff not smells and tastes...I can't really think of anything I could eat or smell that would take me right back to childhood.

2. What did you have as a child that you do not think children today have?

The freedom to walk around town and go to the park and stuff without fears of molestation. It's pretty sad, but it does seem like more and more kids are becoming victims of that sort of thing. Totally sucks.

3. What elementary grade was your favorite?

Year 5, my teacher was great! She encouraged my writing, loved Garfield (as I do) and even tried to do me a special favour by getting me put in the same Year 6 class as my best friend (who I'd been separated from for 3 years), alas my family moved and it never came to pass. But hey it's the thought that counts. I wonder where Ms. Jones is now...

4. What summer do you remember the best as a child?

1993, because we were overseas! (OK it was actually winter in England, but hey it was Summer in Aus :O)

5. What one piece of advice would you give to your younger self, and at what age?

Don't let the anxiety get to you! Keep calm! Things will turn out all right in Sydney.

Well those are the Memes that are up and that's about all I have to say for now, except...

Pray for my knee!

Discovery Channel is showing a show on Ferraris! Ooh I love those cars, although I'm surprised and disappointed that they're showing off is yellow. I mean c'mon! Ferrari is synomous with red, people, there's even a shade called Ferrari red. The thought of buying a Ferrari and not getting it in red is like sacralige.

But yeah interesting enought when one is looking to buy a Ferrari they like you to join their exclusive club and write up a resume of previous cars owned. The thought of me getting a Ferrari then cracks me up! For my resume will look like this.

1986 Toyotal Corolla Manual, no power steering or airconditioner

Mmm yeah, that'll look impressive.

Ouch in other news, my stomach hurts...luckly it's not a ewww I'm gonna throw up pain (knock on wood, touch gold pray to God) but an ouch pain. I wonder if it's from the dye! I'm disappointed indeed that none of you my loyal LJ Friends commented on my stupidity. I do hope I gave you all a laugh. Good new though! My tongue is no long turquoise yay!

Bad news though, the St. Pat's Celebrations are not today but tomorrow, but Grandpa's birthday is on that day! So...I can go. What a shame! It'll be fun to hang out with the grandparents and family of course, but after last year I really wanted to pop by and see the booths and listen to the music. Ah well, at least we get cake.

At the moment I'm sitting in my room wondering how it's got even messier, but ignoring it in order to clean out my Sims 2 storytelling folder on my laptop by burning them onto a CD. Unfortunately, they have this really weird picture numbering system with The Sims 2, so if I simply transfer them over they all end up out of order. And since they were all modified on the same date I can no longer select 'modify' to put them in order, which is kinda useless! The CDs meant to be a backup incase I lose 'em all so they have to be in order.

So! I have to renumber each and every pic. Sigh! But I'm giving each of my family's a little folder though, so that'll make things easier . :O) Although it has occurred to me I don't always post the pics in the order they were taken in [livejournal.com profile] mooseys_sims and birthday's in particular always seem to have to be redone! Ah well.

Anyway, it turns out it's not just about Ferraris it's the Top 10 Sportscars in the World, I'm waiting to see what the number one sports car in the world is...I hope it's not a Porsche...it should be a Ferrari really, the prestige alone.

Ah damn! It is! Pft anyone can buy a Porsche now a days...no prestige! Plus it doesn't even look that sexy...gimme the lines of a Ferrari any day. :O)

I wonder if the DeLorean was on the list at all, LOL, maybe? I hear they breakdown a lot if you don't look after them really well, but they look so cool!

Well I better get back to the picture naming, ta ta for now.

4.45pm: I've only just this half hour returned from a shopping trip to Warringah Mall, which didn't go quite as well as I hoped, for one thing there was no bag repairer at that place to fix my backpack so I had to carry a shoulder bag all over the friggin' place. Add to that the fact I went on a long walk down to the main road my back was seriously pained by the time I got to the Mall.

But it was an all important trip, my old scrolly mouse was dead, comfirmed by the guys at Dick Smith's Electronics, so I brought a new one for $20, I do wonder though whether I should have dropped five bucks more to buy the Microsoft one...eh I guess it doesn't matter, and ol' Bill Gates has got more than enough money comin' to him anyway.

However! Whilst I brought carrots for tonights vegetable portion of dinner I neglected to get toilet paper and I forgot to bring a phone charger, which is bad because my phone is down to one click, it probably won't last the night...which is a bit of a worry because God forbid if I got into an accident in here and broke my leg or something I wouldn't be able to call for help... Which is really an unpleasant thought, but man I can not be bothered to go driving around at this late stage to pick up the charger. I guess if the worst comes to worse I'll send a 'Help' message over the internet to my big bro who will certainly see it.

Hmm yeah, I hope.

Five Somethings... )

So that's all I've gotta say for the moment...the phone is hanging on, doubtless though it'd run out of batteries the second someone calls. Crap...

It's also sticky in here, I think I better turn the fan up, I may have been wrong not to take the portable air-con with me, but that damn thing rattles and whatnot so much, I don't think I could have stood it.

Right, so off to do that!

On the plus side, back seems to have recovered from all the walking and bad posture.

This is freakin' sweet as Peter Griffin would say, today the Pope recieved a special gift...

A scale Ferrari! :O)

The Pope's New Wheels! )

Moving on I just noticed on news footage today that Mark Latham has had his head shaved or something! He had really good hair before but now he looks like he's going to join the SAS! What was behind this mad decision? Or could he be more ill than thought? Poor Mr. Latham!

And the new Airbus has been launched. I do not agree with Airbus's fly-by-wire approach in which setting the wrong mode on the computer can cause the whole damn thing to crash into a runway or something. Although apparently they're all going fly-by-wire now a days, tsk tsk...

I also love my 747! And it's bulbous upperdeck, Airbus's bumblebee approach just ain't doing it for me, compare the pics and you'll see what I mean! )

Right to bed with me! It's much too late at night!

I have a Ferrari Cap, purchased by my dear old Dad on one of his many shopping trips, and it's causing a bit of a stirr, people have been asking 'Do you own a Ferrari?', some guy at the Toll Booth on Sydney Habour Bridge actually asked me 'Where's your Ferrari?'

Heh, obviously I wouldn't have a Ferrari, only been twenty years, eleven months and 27 days (nah I'm not gonna do the minutes it's too hard), unless my parents live in Mosman or something ;O). I really would love a Ferrari though, in red of course...ahh...those are great cars!

Oh man, had a big dinner tonight of sauages, peas, corn and carrots, and geeze I think I ate a bit too much I'm so full now, I hate it when I do that...oh well, I might go down to the BOX later on tonight and all that hunting through boxes and books should make me feel less oversized.

In other news I went swimming, but unforutnately with no friends, goggles or swim thing (I want one of those foam noodle things) so just about the only thing I could do was swim around and I could only keep myself entertained for 45 mins in there, and I spent $2.50 to get in and $1 for a locker. So, you know I wanted to get a bit more out of it...

Oooh! On the Crime and Investigation channel they're looking at some crimes (duh) and this time focusing on the mother, they hardly ever seem to do that, it's always blokes...I'm always interested with the unusual crimes, which usually involve women doing something weird. As they say women can be as murderous as men, but they're smarter about it (hmmmm, disturbing). The case on the TV looks like Muchausen Syndrome by Proxy, named after Baron Von Munchausen who used to make up all this crap to get attention and stuff. People who have Munchausen by itself go to doctors and pretend they're sick and sometimes have unnecessary surgery! Creepy! But the Proxy thing is even worse, then they go and pick on someone else usually their own kiddies!

But does Muchausen's even exist? Some say no, and over in Britian they're looking at a lot of all these cases of child-abuse cases, I wonder what's going down with that, since just last year a woman in Australia was sentenced to life for killing FOUR of her kiddies! She says she didn't, but I have my doubts, as did the cops and jury obviously.

Well, hey this is getting a bit dark and depressing.

But I really am enjoying this new channel, although I haven't seen Unsoloved Mysteries on it yet, even though it's supposed to be on sometime. But hey Resuce 911 is on now, I remember this old program, they've changed the music though...ah well.

Geeze- I don't know what this has to do with 911 yet, but there's this guy hanging from a stunt plane by a cable, I din't know the bloke was on a cable so when he let go of the plane I almost had a heart attack, narrators should warn you of this stuff. And now the poor guy is stuck! How will they get him down? I suppose they'll have to get another plane up there to go up and get him into it.

Or rather a truck...good thing I wasn't in charge of that thing there, poor guy probably would have died. :O0

In other news my car is now registered, all I have to do is get that sticker off and replace it with a new one, it's a bit hard to do, it looks like I'll have to scrape it off with a knife...great. The new sticker is orange, the old one was green, my favourite colour, what a shame.

Anyway, my stomach has recovered now, so I'm off to do some more net surfing...and according to [livejournal.com profile] timewanderer the BTTF Message Board will be back soon, so yippee!
