7:01pm: On my way back from picking up lunch for work today, I slipped on a small twig and almost ended up on my ass.
I didn't, but it appears I've done in my knee, it's gone from hurting a little too hurting a whole lot. Owwww! This sucks, because it's really hard to concentrate and crap. Plus what will happen tomorrow? If it's worse I'll be pretty stuffed.
So, I've put on a knee bandage thing, but I can't find my proper one, I hope it still works a bit though. I guess I should go and put some frozen peas on it or something.
ZOMG! Ferraris in Liechardt (which is just up the road from where I am)! Or at least there were they've headed off to Melbourne now. I have to ask, what sort of cruel people set up something like this to happen on a workday? I missed that whole thing?
Four for Friday
-- The Early Edition --
Q1 - Breakfast: If you could have had anything other than what you ate for breakfast this morning, what would you have ordered up?
Well, all I had for breakfast was a mandarin because I forgot I didn't have any bread in the apartment and I hadn't bothered to go out and get milk. If I could've had breakfast though I would have liked some yogurt for the acidophilius factor (good for the digestion) and the mandarin.
Q2 - Opinions: A friend of mine recently decided to try online dating, and one site asked the following question: "Imagine that your friends had to choose the best four descriptions of you from the items listed below. Click next to the four items that they would be most likely to pick." My guess is that hardly anyone ever asks his or her friends to supply the answer. If you are/were single, would you [ask a friend to supply the answer]?
That's a weird question, I mean how many options were given? Because I probably wouldn't fit into any of them! :OP But I'd have no problem asking my friendstheir opinion of me.
Incidentally why has this question got parenthesis's in a weird spot?
Q3 - Trading In: According to a recent CNN.com poll, approximately 50% of Americans say they are seriously thinking of trading in one or more of their cars for a vehicle offering better fuel economy. How about you?
I'm still trying to figure out my car's fuel enconomy, sometimes I get like 10 litres per 100 kms, sometimes more and sometimes less. It seems driving while nervous really brings down the fuel efficiency, also having the seat too close. Interesting, I say.
But unless I get a Smart Car or a diesel car or something I can't imagine I could get better fuel efficiency, so I'm good.
Q4 - Possessions: If you could own one item that a friend of yours currently owns, what possession of his or hers would you make yours?
Hmmm...I can't think of anything a friend of mine has that I would want to take...Especially if that meant they didn't have it anymore!
Friday Fill-In
1. On my laziest day I like to sit on my ass infront of my laptop! (Wait I do that nearly every weekend :OP)
2. Writing makes me feel like I'm being productive.
3. I love little things and big things. (Hence my collection of oversized objects! I also like undersized objects
4. This summer I want to I dunno, summer's ages and ages away!
5.
ant_farm and
hansmoleman made me start my blog LJ.
6. Red the colour of my shirt and orange is the colour of the House I was in during High School.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to dunno, maybe a bit of Sims 2 maybe some writing, tomorrow my plans include going to a friends' housewarming party and Sunday, I want to make sure my knee is better!
The (Other) Friday Five
1. What were some of the smells and tastes of your childhood?
See, I think more in terms of visual stuff not smells and tastes...I can't really think of anything I could eat or smell that would take me right back to childhood.
2. What did you have as a child that you do not think children today have?
The freedom to walk around town and go to the park and stuff without fears of molestation. It's pretty sad, but it does seem like more and more kids are becoming victims of that sort of thing. Totally sucks.
3. What elementary grade was your favorite?
Year 5, my teacher was great! She encouraged my writing, loved Garfield (as I do) and even tried to do me a special favour by getting me put in the same Year 6 class as my best friend (who I'd been separated from for 3 years), alas my family moved and it never came to pass. But hey it's the thought that counts. I wonder where Ms. Jones is now...
4. What summer do you remember the best as a child?
1993, because we were overseas! (OK it was actually winter in England, but hey it was Summer in Aus :O)
5. What one piece of advice would you give to your younger self, and at what age?
Don't let the anxiety get to you! Keep calm! Things will turn out all right in Sydney.
Well those are the Memes that are up and that's about all I have to say for now, except...
Pray for my knee!
