The ABC Presents: Guy on Guy Action

anonymoose_au9:08pm: Now that I've got attention Vote Bart Ahem, in all seriousness they're getting risque on the ABC these days, last week it was full frontal nudity, this week we get see two guys make out among other things. I've never actually seen a dude kiss another dude on TV...
Moving on I realised today that I've been here at the parentals for four nights now! Yikes, I'll definitely have to head home tomorrow.
Also I haven't written on my George III story in quite some time...in fact I haven't written on much of anything since that 12 Days of Christmas Meme, what's with that? Quite unacceptable! Although the slow down has to do with the fact that there are still several things that I quite can't figure out what with these events having occurred over 200 years ago... Sometimes research doesn't conquer all.
So yeah, another week begins tomorrow, and soon it will be the middle of January...crap, they're right it'll be Easter before we know it and then the middle of the year and so on. I have no idea where I'm going exactly...with my life. Perhaps I don't really need to go anywhere? A friend of mine had an interesting entry the other day about how we tend to look at things as been like a story, but really can life actually be like that? Unless you're looking back at someone else's life where there's an end and stuff, probably not.
Well, it has to be said I will be glad to return to the studio apartment if for no other reason then I'll have a consistent internet connection again... I've just typed this entry up again on the older laptop, only to have this one revive the connection again. I ask what the Hell?

:: Happy New Year 2008! ::
1. Did you go out for New Year's this year?
I did indeed! Although as mentioned the spot I thought would afford me a great view of the fireworks and so on...didn't really.
2. Did you do any travelling during the holidays?
Nah, too poor.
3. What was the best gift you gave this holiday season?
To be honest, I suck at giving gifts, really...I think the Agatha Christie autobiography I got for Dad was pretty inspired...if not cheap because it was second hand.
4. The best gift you received?
Oooh that's a toughie...I can't choose! Everything I got was much apperciated and well thought out, particularly gifts from my father. He's very good at that sort of stuff.
5. Are you off of work on MLK, Jr. day? If so, any plans for the long weekend?
N/A although at the end of January we get a public holiday on the 28th for Australia Day which falls on a Saturday this year. Unlike the Japanese who if the holiday falls on a weekend that's how it goes.
6. Did you make any New Year's resolutions this year? If so, what are they? If not, why not?
Bit sick of this 'q' I have to say. I didn't as to why, well I don't see the point...who keeps 'em anyway? :OP
7. A look back - what was the best thing about 2007?
New job which is going quite well indeed, sweet!
8. A look back - what was the worst thing about 2007?
Well hitting a cyclist and having to pay the excess with insurance wasn't a particualarly fun time.
Saturday Six
1. How well do you feel that you know your inner self?
Err...dunno, never really thought about it... my inner self isn't all that different from my outer self quite honestly. Which can sometimes be to my deteriment, saying what I mean all the time and all...!
2. Take one more quiz: How does your intrapersonal intelligence rate?
I haven't even taken one quiz, so why am I taking one more? Anywho...the answer I got:
I all ready write a journal, as you all know...I got this answer 'cause really I'm indecisive is all.
3. How much do you trust your own instincts?
Um...well like I said, I'm really indecisive and stuff, so I suppose I don't really trust them that much. Or rather I have to get clarification on my instincts before I follow them.
4. Do you find that you are good or bad at giving people advice?
Bad, since I can't make up my own mind about things!
5. If you had to go back in time and start over, erasing a certain period of time in favor of a “do-over,” would you want to go back 20 years, 10 years, 5 years or 1 year?
Oooh, that's tempting...Hmmm...I dunno...Do I really want to have do over everything...maybe I do, go back 20 years to my days of youth...Got no idea if I would benefit from doing it over, unless I'd go back knowing what I now know, so I wouldn't be so anxious about things.
6. After selecting the answer above, you were suddenly informed that the “do-over” was not mandatory, after all, would you still do it?
Hmmm...probably, since I've always wanted to be forever young. :O)
Situation Sunday
Situation #1
You have purchased property, 2 acres. You have a house and have been living very comfortable for the last 4 years. There is a knock on your door......it is the local Historian. They tell you that your house and property is in a historic site. The was the Civil war and numerous bodies are scattered just 3 feet below the earth all around your yard. With your permission they would like to start digging them up and putting them all together in one section. WHAT DO YOU DO?
Well...geeze would they pay me? And how much? Okay, that sounds really mecenary, but history is pretty important, and I suppose I'd rather have them out of the ground then just below my feet.
Situation # 2
You are driving all alone on a country road. You are on your way home. Your home is located way out in the sticks, about 5 miles to civilization. As you are driving you notice a car in the rear view mirror.....after 2 miles the car is still following you but they now have turned off their head lights.....WHAT DO YOU DO?
What in the middle of the night? That's bloody stupid, although I have to say I'm not seeing how 5 miles to civilisation can count as 'being in the sticks'. But yeah that's rather scary, what are the planning exactly? I'd probably chuck a 'u'-ey as quick as I can and head back to town, if they want to follow me to the police station, they're welcome to.

I'm feeling a bit tired, which is strange considering the fact that for the past two days I've had quite a good sleep in...once again I can only hope I'm not oversleeping. Which is apparently as bad for me as undersleeping.
Plus the ABC has a period drama going on and I always like those, even though this one is based on a book by William Golding and I totally hated Lord of the Flies.
And that's about all I have to say about today.
