anonymoose_au: (A Moose and Co Christmas!)

10:53pm: Another Christmas is drawing to a close and all in all it was a very good one, except I still find it odd that the big bro is no longer with us, it's really not the same without him, but that's life I guess.

Merry Christmas to you all I say!

Now having read and enjoyed [livejournal.com profile] docsgirl's Christmas Meme (with the 12 days of Christmas), I've decided to do it too, which works since the 12 days are actually from the 25th to 6th January. Plus the first 'day' is actually from Christmas Day eve to the eve of the 26th, so I can write up the first one tomorrow 'cause I'm too sleepy to do it now. (My mother goest to bed late and wakes up early, it's rather irritating.)

Anywho, back to Christmas, well after going to Mass last night, I ended up having to pop by the morning Mass too to deliver the Missal, but I didn't stick around. I was also going to help with the power-point presentation, which didn't seem to be working, but fortunately, it starting working of its own accord.

Then the little bro and I went to M and Grandpa's house for a casual Christmas lunch with Aunt Weed, Uncle Sam and Aunt Jo and cousin Mack. The little bro and I went in together for a present for Mack, a Ferrari toy car, which was quite a hit! :O)

There was also Kris Kringle and I ended up with a Street Directory, LOL! I don't know why I picked the gift I did from the pile 'cause, I could see it coming. Ah well, it's a nice street directory with bookmarks in it, always helpful, particularly seeing as the little bro and I managed to get lost driving to M and Grandpa's, despite the fact I've driven there countless times.

M and Grandpa also gave me a $50 gift card to David Jones, sweet! Not sure what I'll buy with mine, maybe I'll cash it in to my mother to get me an extra $50 for the laptop fund.

Also being a child at heart I have my Christmas stocking, which my parents kindly filled for me! I got a packet of Smith's Thins Potato chips, a box of Maltesers, a really cool stuffed horse wearing a Ferrari shirt (the mascot I guess) and a really cool paperweight with a 3D image of St Peter's in Rome.

As for the Christmas pressies, after all of the shopping Mum and Dad did overseas, it was mostly cheap stuff, I got a box of Cheezles, this really extravagant box of Tim-Tams, three stuffed toys of Garfield, Arlene and Nermal (which you can get with a kids meal at KFC, but I don't like KFC sooo...) and some Barbeque Shapes, yum!

I got my father the 2nd hand copy of Agatha Christie's An Autobiography, which I wouldn't mind reading.

Mum some Cadbury Christmas baubles and mixed almonds (why did they stop making the Christmas Mix?)

And the little bro, a box of three types of Ferrero Roches and a Homebake CD that came free in the Sunday newspaper a while back (hey, we're all strapped for cash here.)

So yeah, all in all a very successful Christmas haul (M and Grandpa also had chocolate gold coins for everyone, yum!)

The big event of the day though was the family Christmas dinner, made by the little bro who has quite a talent for cooking and hopefully will land a chef apprenticeship in the New Year. It was turkey and roast vegetables, absolutely delicious!

I'm not sure if any memes are up, but I have to write an email to the big bro before I turn in, so I'll leave them 'til tomorrow.

For now, I bid you all a good night and I hope your Christmas is as Merry as mine!
