Dude! Where's My Brain?!

anonymoose_au8:40pm: Seriously, it seems to have gone AWOL as it sometimes does, tonight's attempt at playing along with Temptation was an utter embarrassment (if I'd actually been on the program in real life). I almost got down to 5! And in the end I only managed to get 25 points. Shocking lack of...er...whatever. As you can see it's still kinda in effect. Perhaps it's from work, because you see there's not much variation in what goes on at work. I was hoping to get a go on the typewriter again, but alas no. Instead it was onto the files, taking out the staples, rotating the landscape pages...blah, blah. That gets a rather tedious after a while, but not tideous enough to complete daydream, so insteda I just had to sing songs in my head because my mobile phone/radio wasn't working. Sigh!
But yeah, I'm rather disappointed because I missed out on this Ebay auction I was planning to bid on, I didn't actually know I was going into work until five minutes after I woke up this morning! So I didn't have a chance to actually place a bid. Oh well...it was probably over by the time I got up come to think of it. Well, what can you do.
I also got some great news when I woke up in the form of an SMS from my mother, the man doesn't need to rent the apartment after all! Woohoo! I'm so relieved! Although, I really need to keep on cleaning because my friend Ben wants to come over on Friday, and you know, I can't just have crap all over the place, but at least I don't have to get it cleaned to "Mum and Dad" standard, because that would probably be impossible, LOL.
Finally another piece of good news! Last night when I was taping two things at once, I discovered that the remote control for one VCR, also works for the second one, even though the remote in question actually belongs to a specific VCR rather then been one of those multi-ones. The only problem...when I paused one, the other paused too! Right in the middle of The Simpsons do'h! So, in that way it's a bit of a pain in the ass...if I'm taping two things at once from now on I have to press pause and record on the actual VCR. But at least I don't have to keep jumping up now I'm taping Forensic Investigators.
Oh, I've just noticed both my VCRs are NECs (LOL acronym overload!), so that explains why the remote works. Hmm, I never noticed that.
But annnnyway! I want to Sim since I'll be at work tomorrow as well, and possible even on Friday, so I'm gonna Meme now.
Wednesday Mind Hump
1. What's in your junk drawer, and how many junk drawers do you have?
Err...I don't have a junk draw I have a...how should I put this...a junk apartment, LOL! All my crap is everywhere, particularly on my desk here, so I suppose it's a junk desk then. I used to have a junk drawer, but then I put way too much shit in there and the drawer broke, so I stopped having junk drawers. Interesting note, my Grandpa converted the set of drawers into a set of shelves for my VCR, Foxtel box, TV etc. Alas, it's dead now. Sniff!
2. How often do you clean or rearrange your junk drawers?

3. Name one celebrity whose junk drawer you'd love to go through.
Ooh! Mr. Darcy! That is to say Colin Firth! Heh heh. Although, I imagine Crispin Glover's junk drawer would be totally nuts! That guy has a collection of surgerical eyeballs...or something like that.

Ah, Lego, those were the days, although I was actually more into Duplo, is that stuff still around? Probably not, I'm afraid, so much of the good stuff has gone by the wayside. Although you can get your kiddies motorised minature cars now...Hmmm, no wonder the kids are getting larger.
I've also just come home from the parentals, I stopped there on the way back from work, seeing as it was on my way, plus I wanted to pick up my clothes and as it turned out there'd been a traffic accident on the road I use to get back to the apartment, so I would have been sitting in traffic anyway. Plus, the sun was in a bad spot, so it woud have been hard to see!
I wasn't going to stay for dinner, but my little bro came over and I decided to hang around, besides, as someone who doesn't have a lot of dough I should take free meals where I can get 'em! :O) It was Chinese style, but my mother made it so it was Ok tasting and not as spicy as the real stuff would probably be. (Well, what I'd consider spicey that is, but I'm a wuss.)
That's all I've got to say right now...I just saw an interesting promo for a train accident doco, I've heard about this train actually, but it's always interesting to see other opinions on the whole thing, so I shall be watching.
But for now, it's goodbye!
