11:14pm: He was Indonesia's president for ages, but he's finally retired and a new guy is coming in (er, legal challenge from the guy who lost pending) who's name is nowhere near as fantastic! Although I've just checked the net and apparently Yudhoyono's term doesn't actually end until 20th October! That's quite a wait, in Australia when we elect a new government the old one is out within the week.
In other news, my mobile phone decided to do that stupid "Not charging despite the fact I clearly plugged it in" thing so I woke up this morning at 8:24am! Shit! Even worse than that, something happened to my mobile to cause the SD card to become unreadable. :O( Luckily all the stuff I had on it - my music mostly is all ready on my computer, so after I formatted the thing I just loaded them back on. Haven't lost any of my photos either, which is weird because I could have sworn I directed them to be saved on the SD card, no wonder my phone is constantly running out of space! But a relief this time around since I would have lost them all.
So yes, I had to rush up to the other bus stop with only a slice of cheese for breakfast - and who should be on the bus but the friend I sit next to in class, she was late too! And of course, the bus had to stop at every stop and people got on really slowly and paid in coins and we got the red lights. Then when we got to the mall Michel's Patesserie didn't sell plain crossiants! Bloody hopeless.
There was also a brief moment of panic when we got to our classroom from the last week and found an entirely different class in there! Turns out the Nursing course has started so they're taking the classroom next to the Clinic Room, makes sense I guess. Luckily our class was in the room just over the way, so phew.
Class went well today, except for one moment, when a fellow classmate, who's quite opinionated and snappy accused me of calling her son 'autistic' when I was talking in general terms about people with communication issues! Seriously, what a complete bitch, I almost cried I was so shocked by her aggression. Fuck, you'd think I'd accused her son of being Hitler or something. As someone on the spectrum a bit, I found her attitude extremely offensive myself, like someone who might have trouble understanding the ins and outs of communication and society is a hopeless case. Beyond that, you can't talk like that to people! I thought I was in the wrong at first, but before I headed out for morning break the teacher actually asked me if I was OK and that she thought the classmate's behaviour was uncalled for. As did my friend, who was a bit less polite in her sentiments.
But yeah, that was unpleasant, and I sure hope I won't be put in a group with her if we have to do group work, because like I said she's terribly aggressive and judgemental (which er, is judgemental but whatever) if you say what she perceives to be wrong. As they say "Get over yourself."
So yeah, that was my slightly unpleasant moment of the day, but the rest of it was good. Now though I should be heading to bed because the library calls tomorrow.
Goodnight all!
