11:28pm: I should be getting myself to bed, because I need to get up at a decent hour to get to the library for volunteering tomorrow...and this time I won't be late! I made a bit of a mistake telling my grandparents about my woes last Thursday and they kept mentioning it as a reason for why I can't get a job. No need to remind me guys! :OP But no, my grandparents are cool and they're only trying to make sure I get myself a job.
In other news, the library expedition with M this morning went well, although I was woken up much earlier than I planned which meant I was a bit sleepy and whilst the speaker was interesting he had one of those voices that kind of makes you nod off, which I almost did! Awkward, LOL. But the lunch afterwards was most yummy, there was even party pies! Niiice...if a bit cold.
After that I had M drop me off near the retirement home my parents will be moving to later in the year because apparently Mum wants to sell the sliding glass doors that are currently on their house (don't ask me why) and asked me to take some photos to put up on Gumtree. So I did that and had very good luck indeed with the buses, one was pulling as I hurried across the road to the bus stop and then I got the bus that goes back past the Granny Flat from Dee Why after only a bit of a wait.
But I didn't have much time to rest on my laurels because I was out of cheese and that called for a trip back down to the Aldi, so after half hour I headed back out again. I also went to Coles where I ended up detained because the self-check out machine wouldn't give me my change at first! Well, it gave me the coins, but not the $35! Apparently there was something wrong with the $5 notes, eventually it gave up and spat out $5 in coins and a ten and twenty dollar note. However, I got lucky at Aldi where due to a mix up I got a free 1kg bag of straight cut fries. Niiiice.
I did end up catching the bus that stops at the top of the street around the corner rather than the one that goes right past my place so I got some exercise in too.
Aaand, I thought I had something else to say...oh wait I remember, I saw a sign for a part-time job at Michel's Patesserie in the shopping centre, but I didn't apply because I've only got my out-of-date resumes, I've printed off updated ones though and will take one there tomorrow. I also, ironically, have to head back past the retirement home to the shops in Collaroy in case I can get something there.
Hmpf, I'm reminded of the Q&A program last night (it's a discussion show) where one of the panelists (a liberal supporter no doubt) remarked the unemployed can't be job snobs. Sigh, true I guess, although I've worked at Michel's Patesserie and I really sucked at it. But if I don't try I'll feel guilty.
On that note, I better be off, I want to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the volunteering tomorrow! Wish me luck!
Goodnight all!
