10:50am: Indeed! But before I bring you up to date on that I want to bitch about forgetting that
Drawn Together was on yesterday morning! Not only did I forget to tape it, I didn't even watch it! Now I don't know what happened! I searched my favourite torrent site for the episode, but alas I couldn't find it, I may have to widen the search. I'm sure it'll be back on again, but you know, I want to see it just to know what happens!
Anyway, moving on the Wedding yesterday was very nice, although I wore something more suitable for Summer and it's been pretty cold lately, so my toes ended up going numb. My mother gave me hat to wear (she said a Wedding's a great place to wear a hat). Heh, we were the only ones wearing a hat wouldn't you know it? But everyone liked it so I don't think I looked too stupid, LOL!
Anyway, originally, I was just going to go to the Wedding and not the Reception, but someone cancelled at the last minute and the bride, Christina invited me since I'd gone to the trouble of coming along. I wasn't going to go since you know I''m lazy and shit, but Mum insisted so I could be the designated driver (never mind that I had to go out of my way to drop them off home, that's parental units for you!), so I ended up going.
Alas! In typical Moose-fashion, I proceeded to get spectacularly lost...wouldn't you know it, the offical address of the place was
not the street directory address. There was more than one street with the same name as the Centre and I had to chose which one and I picked the wrong one! Then when I finally got going in the right direction I was lost in the maze of streets! God damn! I finally got to the place in question in time for the second entree, which was pasta so good stuff. (The first entree wasn't something I'd eat anyway- fish and stuff.)
It was heaps of fun though! I was at a table with a bunch of people I didn't know, but they were all really nice and it was good food too, though I didn't eat that much (I had two of the delicious chicken wings Mum cooked before coming and there were three courses! People these days!) Anyway, then they made the speeches, which are always fun. I asked Mum and Dad if dirt had been dished during the speeches at their wedding, but alas no (There's a
heap of dirt on Mum! That two timer! ;O) Although, I think the groom had a bit too much wine.
Then it was time for dancing, I dance with this guy called James, who plays the organ sometimes at Church, the priest was there and I joked that I should dance with him, but thankfully he didn't want to (I suck at dancing!) Which brought up an interesting question, did Jesus ever dance? LOL, that would have been cool, I bet he knew all the moves.
Anyway I danced with Dad, but he twirled me
waaay too much, so I went out on the balcony and what I saw in the parking lot
ROCKED! Two Ferraris! Real live Ferraris! One was yellow, which was shitty but one was red! I didn't realise it was a Ferrari at first, but when I did, I had to go down to see it! (I didn't notice the step though so I landed rather hard on my way out which made my knees hurt), but I got a pic of the Ferrari for my mobile phone's wallpaper and you'll never guess what the numberplate was! A personalised plate! With
FRRRI! Oh man! If I had skills and no morals I totally would have stolen that thing!
Would you believe it though? It turns out the priest Father Anthony's cousin has a Ferrari! LOL! So I asked Fth A to have his cousin send us a picture, because Ferraris rock!
Anyway, there was much dancing, and I did try and catch the bouquet only because it was roses and roses are my favourite, but alas I couldn't get it, someone with longer arms then mine got it. Dang! And they actually threw the garter too...heh never seen anyone actually throw the garter before, which means the guy who caught it has to marry the girl who caught the bouquet, LOL!
I did get a hold of a rose...but it seems to have disappeared...bummer.
Anyway! I have some odd and exciting news, this mornin my mother called with a proposal, there's a family at our church who lives in the US and they're going back there soon. They have a nine year old daughter (the girl I've babysat for twice) and apparently they usually have an au pair to drive her to school and stuff. Anyway, Mum isn't sure, but she thinks they might not have one lined up yet for when they go back. So! She suggested I volunteer myself for three months! To live in the US! (In Washington DC specifically.)
Wow! Of course it they have an au pair or don't think I can hack it it will be all for naught, but if they did agree I'm in two minds about going, one part of me says "Hell yeah! Get yer ass over there!" Another part of me is worried that I'll get so badly homesick over there that I'll have a mental breakdown or something. Buuuut I guess you've gotta get out and try new stuff.
So, what say you? Do you think I can hack it? Do you think this is an opportunity that can't be passed up?
I'm gonna have a poll to determine this:
