11:00pm: So I was gonna to type up a whole rant about what's happened in the USA, but I don't want to think about it and frankly I have no idea when I'm going to be able to watch the news or even The Project again. I was saying to Mrs S today that someone needs to come up with Trump-Free News where you can find out the important stuff going on in the world without having to be subjected to that thing.

So...I dunno, I've really got no idea what to write, I feel creatively drained right now.

However, I did remember I forgot to upload this! It's the first page of the Pusheen colouring book that I coloured. Super cute huh! I feel like I'll be using this book a lot over the next few weeks! :OP

But yes, I feeling pretty slack right now, so excuse the super short entry.

Now, I'm going to have ice cream.

Goodnight all.

11:06pm: Tomorrow is D-Day...or should that be E-Day? Either way, the voting is probably about to begin over there - or maybe it all ready has in some states, and I suppose by this time tomorrow we'll all be finding out if the USA is going to screw us all or what.

And they better not, it was embarrassing as anything when Abbott was voted in here in Australia, but we are but a wee country without much political influence so in all honesty we were only hurting ourselves (and a number of poor refugees I suppose :O(), if Trump gets in however...bomb shelters will suddenly become a very good idea.

Also, I won't be able to watch the news for the next four years, it was bad enough having to put up with Tony Abbott while he was in, no way can I stomach watching that orange idiot pretending he has two brain cells to rub together.

Anyway, onto more palatable topics! Of which I don't actually have much to say about. It was a rather lazy day for me save for the hour I went to the gym. I was planning to wash my car, but with it's typical timing a storm came in and screwed that right up. Although, considering how often this happens I might just have to wash my car anyway. I mean if the car is clean the rain will be less likely to make it dirty, right? Unless the rain itself is dirty, I suppose.

What else to report, not a lot...I should really get some sort of hobby, although I've just remembered I did buy that fabric to make shirts (I should remember this, I only did it yesterday!) and perhaps I should try and do some writing. I've mentioned this previously, but I didn't actually do anything about it. Man, I need to get me some follow-through.

That will have to wait until tomorrow though because I must get to bed now! Don't let us down, USA, we're counting on you.

Goodnight all!

US Election Concerns

6:23pm: First things first, congratulations Barrack Obama! The US's first Black President! And a great guy to boot! I have high hopes for the US and the world with him in the front seat. :O) And to all you people who voted, good for you! :OD I like to vote, and when you're in a country where you have the freedom to do it without worrying about getting shot in the knees or something, you should exercise it! :O)

I'm sure up there in Heaven, Martin Luther King Jr is all "Yes!" I have a dream indeed!

I wonder when Australia will get its first woman prime minister or a one that's not of European extraction at least. Well, the important thing is it be a good person who won't screw up! No point in being the first at something if you're going to screw it up royally.

But all right! John Howard is gone, and Bush is outta here! I feel so much better now. Yay world!

And hats off to John McCain for giving a gracious conceeding speech - man I'd be so bad at doing that! I'm terrible at criticism and crap.

But wow voting in the US is weird, what with the machine, lining up for like 5 hours, voting on a Tuesday! Here in Aus, because it's compulsary there's like a thousand polling places to go, it takes about 10 minutes and you use a pencil. Good times.

In non-US political related news, [livejournal.com profile] little_details has come to my rescue regarding my NaNo issue and I feel rather excited about writing it now. :OD

Right, so I'm off to do that now and finish cooking my sausages for dinner tonight, yum!

Ta-ta for now!

anonymoose_au: (ARRRGH! Computers!)
11:04pm: OK, this is gonna be a quick entry because I originally meant to update an hour ago, but then the wireless router decided to be a bitch and not let me connect from downstairs so I had to shut it down and come up to my mother's laptop here.

And wouldn't you know it the damn thing didn't save my entry at any point. Weak!

Not much to report though, except the weather sure is crazy, first its hot, then its cold, then it rains all day! Who knows what to wear! This is why Spring is often a pain in the ass and Autumn too come to think of it.

I also wanted to mention this funny Halloween thing I read about today, people love their pumpkin carving, but this year in honour of the election a lot of people have decided to make Barrack o'Laterns. As you can see they're pretty intricate! I admired the dedication, I doubt I could carve a pumpkin the normal way let alone with such artistry.

Sadly for John McCain no Jack o'Laterns for him (they wouldn't even have to change the name!) Although apparently someone in LA hung an effigy of Sarah Palin from their house as a Halloween decoration, which is going a bit too far. Can you imagine what would happen if it was an Obama effigy? All the same I hope Obama wins,I like his style.

Anywho, I better hit the hay as I haven't been getting enough sleep lately which is no good for me!

No Sims Thing because I don't have access to it from this computer, so you'll all have to remain in the dark about my current states. :OP

Memes tomorrow! But for now, goodnight!

10:50am: Indeed! But before I bring you up to date on that I want to bitch about forgetting that Drawn Together was on yesterday morning! Not only did I forget to tape it, I didn't even watch it! Now I don't know what happened! I searched my favourite torrent site for the episode, but alas I couldn't find it, I may have to widen the search. I'm sure it'll be back on again, but you know, I want to see it just to know what happens!

Anyway, moving on the Wedding yesterday was very nice, although I wore something more suitable for Summer and it's been pretty cold lately, so my toes ended up going numb. My mother gave me hat to wear (she said a Wedding's a great place to wear a hat). Heh, we were the only ones wearing a hat wouldn't you know it? But everyone liked it so I don't think I looked too stupid, LOL!

Anyway, originally, I was just going to go to the Wedding and not the Reception, but someone cancelled at the last minute and the bride, Christina invited me since I'd gone to the trouble of coming along. I wasn't going to go since you know I''m lazy and shit, but Mum insisted so I could be the designated driver (never mind that I had to go out of my way to drop them off home, that's parental units for you!), so I ended up going.

Alas! In typical Moose-fashion, I proceeded to get spectacularly lost...wouldn't you know it, the offical address of the place was not the street directory address. There was more than one street with the same name as the Centre and I had to chose which one and I picked the wrong one! Then when I finally got going in the right direction I was lost in the maze of streets! God damn! I finally got to the place in question in time for the second entree, which was pasta so good stuff. (The first entree wasn't something I'd eat anyway- fish and stuff.)

It was heaps of fun though! I was at a table with a bunch of people I didn't know, but they were all really nice and it was good food too, though I didn't eat that much (I had two of the delicious chicken wings Mum cooked before coming and there were three courses! People these days!) Anyway, then they made the speeches, which are always fun. I asked Mum and Dad if dirt had been dished during the speeches at their wedding, but alas no (There's a heap of dirt on Mum! That two timer! ;O) Although, I think the groom had a bit too much wine.

Then it was time for dancing, I dance with this guy called James, who plays the organ sometimes at Church, the priest was there and I joked that I should dance with him, but thankfully he didn't want to (I suck at dancing!) Which brought up an interesting question, did Jesus ever dance? LOL, that would have been cool, I bet he knew all the moves.

Anyway I danced with Dad, but he twirled me waaay too much, so I went out on the balcony and what I saw in the parking lot ROCKED! Two Ferraris! Real live Ferraris! One was yellow, which was shitty but one was red! I didn't realise it was a Ferrari at first, but when I did, I had to go down to see it! (I didn't notice the step though so I landed rather hard on my way out which made my knees hurt), but I got a pic of the Ferrari for my mobile phone's wallpaper and you'll never guess what the numberplate was! A personalised plate! With FRRRI! Oh man! If I had skills and no morals I totally would have stolen that thing!

Would you believe it though? It turns out the priest Father Anthony's cousin has a Ferrari! LOL! So I asked Fth A to have his cousin send us a picture, because Ferraris rock!

Anyway, there was much dancing, and I did try and catch the bouquet only because it was roses and roses are my favourite, but alas I couldn't get it, someone with longer arms then mine got it. Dang! And they actually threw the garter too...heh never seen anyone actually throw the garter before, which means the guy who caught it has to marry the girl who caught the bouquet, LOL!

I did get a hold of a rose...but it seems to have disappeared...bummer.

Anyway! I have some odd and exciting news, this mornin my mother called with a proposal, there's a family at our church who lives in the US and they're going back there soon. They have a nine year old daughter (the girl I've babysat for twice) and apparently they usually have an au pair to drive her to school and stuff. Anyway, Mum isn't sure, but she thinks they might not have one lined up yet for when they go back. So! She suggested I volunteer myself for three months! To live in the US! (In Washington DC specifically.)

Wow! Of course it they have an au pair or don't think I can hack it it will be all for naught, but if they did agree I'm in two minds about going, one part of me says "Hell yeah! Get yer ass over there!" Another part of me is worried that I'll get so badly homesick over there that I'll have a mental breakdown or something. Buuuut I guess you've gotta get out and try new stuff.

So, what say you? Do you think I can hack it? Do you think this is an opportunity that can't be passed up?

I'm gonna have a poll to determine this:
