Gosh, I'm So Picky...
Sep. 29th, 2015 11:37 pm11:12pm: Yep, more unpicking has needed to be done with the petticoat and that's because after I finished at Mrs. S's today I went to buy the proper petticoat fabric from the Lincraft in Belrose. Actually, I went to the Mona Vale fabric shop, but they didn't have any netting at all. I did though buy one of those little pin-cushions you can put on your wrist. It's shaped like a sunflower! Very cute. I've all ready used it and it's worked well.
So I made a new layer out of the netting and it's much stiffer than the tulle and I think that it's all going to work out, although I won't know for sure until I've remade the petticoat, I was originally just going to put the new petticoat layer over the tulle, but that didn't look like it was going to work, so I've unpicked the tulle from the yoke and it's come to my attention that I need to hem that because it's unravelling on me, very annoying.
What else to report? Not much, except I managed to misunderstand when I was meant to start work at Dee Why Library today, so after rushing home, changing and eating a quick lunch, I hurried to the Library and starting working for almost 45 minutes before I realised my mistake! I was meant to start at 5pm not 1pm. Duh, good work me. :OP So I went back home where I worked on the petticoat layer, so that was good!
Right, I better get to bed, because I have to start half an hour earlier than usual tomorrow!
Before I go though, let's all give a cheer for the folk at NASA who confirmed there's water on Mars! :OD And of course Google made sure to created some doodles to commerate such momentous news. And this by far is the most adorable one of all! Awwwww, look at it!
And now, off I go!
