My Mad Maths Skillz

10:00pm: Are non-existent. I'm sooo tired right now, and I've just realised why...I've been counting wrong again so instead of getting 8 hours sleep last night I only got 7 on top of not having got enough sleep for the past few nights. Duuuuh.
In other news I sure did screw up a bit at work today, not in a way the Boss would notice (I hope), but all day I had no idea what to do with myself and suddenly at 4:30pm the boss called to ask me to print off something and I rememebred that I was supposd to make up all these brochures about the company and what they do.
Whoops!
So I started on those right away, which was a bad idea because they take a long time to do what with our colour printer being such an ass, so long story short I didn't finish up work until 6pm, a good hour after I normally finish.
3x Thursday
Time's Makin' Changes
1. As you've gotten older, have you noticed changes in how your body works? If yes, how so?
Well, there's the motion sickness thing, before I was 13 I was perfectly capable of going on roller coasters (without loop de loops) and spinning things and all that. But no can do now, I can't even sit backwards on the bus!
I've also developed vertigo, what's with that?
2. As time has gone by, do you find your music tastes have changed? If yes, how so?
Nah, I've always loved the oldies, only now I listen to the original artists' version rather than the Chipmunks' LOL!
3. Do you look forward to getting older? Why/why not?
Oh hell no, I was so afraid to grow up I actually thought I never would, so when I finished school and turned 18 I thought to myself..."Crap".
Booking Through Thursday
Lit-Ra-Chur
* When somebody mentions “literature,” what’s the first thing you think of? (Dickens? Tolstoy? Shakespeare?)
I definitley think of the classics, like Jane Austen and Dickens and all those guys...Not Tolstoy really, but then I"ve never read any of his stuff. And I've had to say I've never really thought of Shakespeare as literature...plays seems to be in a different catergory to me.
* Do you read “literature” (however you define it) for pleasure? Or is it something that you read only when you must?
I'll admit to liking Jane Austen, especially Pride & Prejudice - oh that Mr. Darcy! I once tried to read a Russian novel (in English obviously), but it was boring, so I gave up on it. I mostly read modern stuff though.
Thursday Threesome
::State Fair and Rodeo::
Onesome- State: What state (or territory) do you live in? Have you lived in any other(s)? Where would you like to live? And as a bonus: Any idea what year your state became a state?
I live in New South Wales, the premier state, but I can't say I know off the top of my head when it became a state...goes to Wikipedia - according to the article is was basically there from the beginning -1788.
Twosome- Fair: Or amusement parks: Did you enjoy them as a kid? What was your favorite ride? How do you feel about them now? Ready to go wander around one again, sampling funnel cakes and corn dogs and riding rides until you're sick? ...or would you rather just enjoy the entertainment or stay home and avoid the crowds?
I did indeed enjoy amusement parks, especially the Easter Show and Wonderland. My favourite ride was the kid roller coaster. I even went to Disneyland and Euro-Disney. Of course thanks to strange events I can no longer go on rides without feeling queasy, so there's really no reason to go to the show...especially with the price of admission!
Threesome- And Rodeo: Have you ever been to or watched a rodeo on TV? Did you enjoy it or consider it a barbaric spectacle? If you liked it, what was your favorite event? Ever tempted to race barrels or ride a bull yourself?
Er no...I have seen it on TV and it's pretty bizarre, gotta wonder what they do to those bulls to make them freak out like that, probably nothing good...I gotta say it seems like a pointless and dangerous way to spend your free time. And I think the prize money is only $5,000 at the show, screw that!
To finish I'd like to say my Maths skillz are so bad I just realised I miscounted and I did get about 8 hours sleep last night. Wow, I'm such a winnar...
I did manage to cook up my own lasange tonight though, so that's a victory! Except now I've got a healp of washing up to do which I'm not looking forward to. Oh to have a dishwasher!
And on that note, I retire to bed.
Goodnight all!
