Can't Think Of A Good Title...
Sep. 30th, 2015 11:16 pm10:52pm: Indeed so, but if I could it'd be something to do with a rather shocking discovery I made today...or possible shocking discovery. I'm sure you've all read about my problems with pimples, seriously my face is worse than a teenager's sometimes. Anyway, I was bemoaning this at work this morning (Mrs S is sympathetic to my plight) when I realised something...I've been taking great care in the last few years not to touch my face with my bare hands ever since I read that's the easiest way to get a cold or other virus. However, I still get an itchy face sometimes, so instead I use the collar of my shirt to sort of scratch the area and it has just occurred to me...my shirt collar surely isn't the cleanest of surfaces. Better than using my bare hands probably, but still not a good idea. OMG, could this be the answer? If so I sure feel dumb, but at the same time, what am I meant to do when my face is itchy? Use a pen? What do you do, my fellow readers? Or do you just not get itchy faces?
Anyway, I have to make the rest of this entry quick as I have to get up a bit earlier than usual tomorrow because I have to start at 8am again tomorrow because the nurse wasn't able to come today, but she is tomorrow - or at least I hope so.
Anyway, I finished work, then headed back home because I managed to forget a few things - like my watch - and then off I went to the gym before heading to the library to help with the Home Library Service. It was good timing actually because I arrived in time for the farewell afternoon tea for the Home Library Service leader who is leaving for a new job in a couple of weeks. Although, this is pretty much her last day because she's on leave next week.
As for me, I have lots of work coming up library-wise, I'll be at Mona Vale tomorrow, then Dee Why Library on Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Yikes! I hope I can keep up! I was going to come in on Friday to help with the Home Library Service a bit more because there's a bit of a backlog, which is not good, but with all those shifts coming up...nope.
After work I finally returned the string I bought from the Reject Shop the other week, and then did some shopping at Coles before I headed home and worked some more on the dress. I decided to extend the zipper so that it'll be easier to get on, because as it was I worried every time I put it on that I was going to rip one of the seams. I also sewed in one of the tulle layers to the skirt of the dress itself, why? I thought it would look better, although without the yoke, the layer is a bit shorter than the dress, eh whatever.
As for the petticoat itself? Well, I unpicked the bias binding from the yoke, then hemmed it, then sewed the bias binding back on and pinned the first layer of the petticoat net to it. Still got another layer and a tulle layer to pt on it though. Once all that's done though I'll pretty much be finished! Go me!
Right, on that note I better hit the hay! Sleep is important after all!
Goodnight all!
