Not Gonna Walk A Mile in THOSE Shoes...

9:54pm: Indeed...I finally got to the shoe shop today, where there were quite a few shoes on sale, which was good, however, there was a sad lack of size 6 shoes among them. Eventually, though I found some and bought them for $99 (they usually retail for like $200), unfortunately...it seems I'm size six and a half, because I wore them this evening and they were just too tight! Which is a bit of a worry considering that the pink heels I ordered from E-Bay are size 6, but really its hard to tell with shoes. When I got home I measured my foot - it's 23 cm so I looked that up on the net and apparently it fits into both 6 and 6.5 category. Bah!

Anyway, the reason I wore them this evening was because this morning I missed a call on my mobile and when I rang back I found out it was Dee Why Library wanting to know if I'd be able to come in for the 4:30 to 7pm shift. Is the Pope Catholic?! I was in! So, you know, I had to wear the proper shoes, except of course, these proved not to be the proper shoes. Do'h. Maybe I should see if the other ones I got from M can be repaired. But I don't want a hard sole on them, that would defeat the purpose of the comfort sole!

So now I have to return the shoes tomorrow, good thing I'll be finishing early - since Mrs S has an 11am appointment - so I'll have enough time to do it. Funny story, when I purchased the shoes the lady accidentally put them through at $9.90 instead of $99! Yikes! I pointed that out so we had to get the calculator out to figure out how much more I needed to pay to get the right price, so I'm sure they'll be nice about me needing to return them. I won't mention I wore them outside! Though they still look pretty good.

Apart from that not much else to report, which is a good thing since I need to get to bed since I have to get up half an hour earlier to get to work on time - hopefully I won't be cutting it too close there - but I won't be having a shower since I'll have one after my work-out so that should help.

So I shall be off now, wondering if the news I just heard about Plushy and his back is true - in which case we won't be seeing him this skating season either, how sad. Oh well, whatever the case stay healthy (as you can), Plushy!

PS. Oops! I just realised I forgot to wish my big bro a happy birthday for today! Better get onto that before I hit the sheets!
