Sunshine and Rain...

10:33pm: That's what today has been, the weather doesn't seem to be able to make up its mind, when I woke up this morning, it was sunny, but by the time I had to leave for the library it had started to rain - and there was a close call when I saw the bus coming down the street before I had got to the bus stop. Thankfully he saw me waving from the other side of the road and stopped the bus for me, otherwise I would have had to go to other bus stop around the corner and I would have arrived at the library quite a bit later than I said I would.

Anywho! The audio collection repair thing went well, although we don't really have many resources for repair any broken discs, basically we can clean them. But that sort of thing often works, so fingers crossed! There was also more Inter-Library Loans, but I had to wing the address on a couple of them and one I couldn't send at all, because there were two different entries on the database with two different addresses and I didn't know which one was the right one. There's a way to find out online, but I didn't have the password and no-one else there knew it (the Inter-Library Loans lady was off today). Hopefully that won't mess up things with the date it's due back and all that.

After that I came back here to the flat and got around to calling M's friend and arranging a time to do the interview, which is tomorrow at a quarter to eleven - which means I need to make sure I catch the bus at 10:24 to get there on time. I'm debating on whether to go to M and Grandpa's afterward and maybe play Canasta, but hmmm, if I do that I won't be able to get to the gym and I did want to get my money's worth from that two weeks notice. Decisions, decisions...I guess I'll call M, for all I know she might be busy!

I forgot to try calling the War Veetran's Home about my work placement, but I did get my laundry done at least! Although I'll have to break out the Garfield bed and pillow covers because the My Little Pony ones didn't get dry in time. Oh well...always good to have a change.

Any books or authors you hate? Why? Is it the writing? The stories? The author’s personality? And—would you read their work anyway?

Well, I can't recall her name right now - or ever I'm sure - but the author of A Foreign Wife made English class execruiating for a whole term. Ugh, terrible writing, extremely annoying , bang-your-head against-the-wall kind of stuff. I sure as Hell wouldn't have read it if it hadn't been required reading...actually I'm kind of sure I didn't read it all it was that bad.
Aside from her though...no-one stands out particularly...I couldn't get past the prologue of The Hobbit, but I wouldn't say I hate Tolkien.
So basically just that one author, LOL.

Follow Friday Four Fill-Ins

The statements:

1. Living in a place with no dishwasher makes me messier, because I tend to only do a half-assed rinse of my plates and cutlery until they build up and I have to wash them up in the sink.

2. Wondering what will happen always makes me a bit worried.

3. Looking back I would have applied for more jobs whilst I actually had one, because it's always easier to get one that way.

4. Listening to 60s music makes me feel happy!

And those are the only ones up, so I guess I'll wrap this up here.
