Well, Dang...
Jul. 15th, 2011 11:38 pm11:11pm: Oh dear, the interview didn't go particularly well today.
Firstly I woke up with a splitting headache and had to lie down until it went away, which it did (thanks to taking some paracetamol as well). And then I completely underestimated how long it would take me to get to the interview so I had to call up the One Umbrella and tell them I was running late. Way to make an impression. :O(
They did move my appointment to 2:30 instead, but I screwed their schedule and as a result I had to wait a good hour until my interview - at 3:30.
Furthermore, I suck at interviews, totally SUCK, as Centrelink so helpfully informed me once, I don't have trouble keeping a job, so much as getting one, which you know...is a big ass problem when one doesn't have a job in the first place. :O(
To add insult to injury, I ended up forgetting my umbrella and the rain they've been forecasting all week came to town. I managed to avoid getting thoroughly soaked, but it was a pretty close thing.
On the plus side, there was an Aldi near the train station so I was able to get some of the cereal I like, yummy.
In other news, there's something wrong with my kettle, I boiled water in it for my hot chocolate and it tasted like ass. I know it wasn't the milk this time - I just bought it yesterday. I ended up having to throw it away. That wasn't a waste of anything...
( In closing...Memes please. )
And that's all I have to say about today. Except I need to update
hart_on_sleeve, poor Captain John, I've neglected him!
I bid you all goodnight!
