You Sir, Are An Idiont...
Dec. 16th, 2010 11:52 pm11:13pm: I'm watching that Embarrassing Bodies show and damn this guy on it has horrifying teeth. And it's not hard to see why, the dumbass doesn't brush his teeth at night and drinks fizzy drinks before going to bed. You have to wonder what his dentist was doing on this guys previous visits. Although I suppose if someone isn't going to listen...
What is it with the British and teeth? Do they not have flouride in the water? They should get onto that.
Anyway! As predicted today, the fountain fixing guys didn't get here 'til 11:30am! And after all that, they didn't even need to go through the house! Sigh! However, I figured I still had time to get to the library and volunteer. I did get there rather later than I thought I would because I forgot I'd have to wait for the train and the bus.
I got quite a lot done at the library too, returning books to the shelves, covering books and going down to the stacks. While I was there a huge thunderstorm came through there was lightning and thunder...in fact it was so bad that three people on a golf course got struck by lightning and sadly one of them died.
I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to go to the Hornsby Library because the weather was so bad. Fortunately the storm passed over and I was able to and got my book. And I got a Christmas present from the people at my volunteer library, how nice of them! :OD I'll have to wait 'til Christmas to open it however...
Wow, this show is now showing us the horrors that long-term high heel wearing can bring. I tells you, it's horrifying!
And now, Meme times!
Thursday Thunks
:Philosophy 101:
The TT questions are brought to you by Bud, the color of an Mexican Umbrella Lady and the number 3693.
1. First, an easy one. In 25 words or less, what's your philosophy on life?
That's not an easy one! Um er...Have fun, be creative and enjoy your family and friends.
2. Which country is your spiritual home? Why?
That's a toughie...it could be Malta because I do have very Maltese like colouring. But there's also Ireland and its fabulous greenness! So I'll say both of them are fabulous.
3. Tell us something about the oldest living member of your family. We mean as opposed to the oldest dead one.
Hmmm...wow...I don't know...that's probably Grandpa? He's 85 next year. He's great! He plays golf a couple of times of a week, he doesn't need a cane and is working on the family history at present.
4. Tell us something about the youngest member of your family.
Uh...that would be cousin Mack, if we're talking about direct cousin connections. He's only 6 at the moment. He looks like he's going to be really tall. He enjoys sport and is very smart indeed.
5. Now we’ll do random. Have you ever had a negative experience at a gym (with other patrons, equipment, trainer) or with the gym themselves?
Nope...except maybe the embarrassment I suffered when I realised that an old man in one of my stretch class was more flexible than I. I mean, yiiikes.
6. If you could go back and change one friendship in your past, who would it have been, and why?
I wouldn't change any of them! I love all my friends. :O)
7. If you could wish a wish and it be guaranteed to come true (and not to get more wishes), what would it be, and why?
An end to world poverty, because that's serious business.
8. What were you doing 1 year ago?
Bemoaning my lack of job and preparing for Christmas.
9. Time to belly up to the bar. What drink can I getcha?
Iced water - ha ha...yeah I suck.
10. What's the furthest you've traveled to visit (or vacation with, etc.) a friend?
A friend specifically? Man, I've probably only gone as far as Dubbo, which is about 670km from here. I'm a real adventurer. Ha.
3x Thursday
Find the Positive
Find (dig deep, if you have to) 3 positive things in your world and describe them.
1. My RPG-ing! (Say what you will, but I'm having a whole heap of fun!
2. My job (It's pretty damn cool, especially the magazines and merchandise pricing)
3. Friends, whee!
And shoot it's getting late, so I better high tail it!
Goodnight to you all!
