Workin', Workin' for the Man....

The Man is cool though, so I'm glad for it.

In fact believe it or not when I went in today my supervisor told me that at the beginning of the year it looked as if I wouldn't be rehired after all! Yikes! In fact the Finance Department suggested that other staff do it in their spare time. They weren't too pleased about that, and in fact they rallied for me! They said I was the best newspaper sorter they'd ever had, good stuff! :O) So I've got my contract renewed for the school year...yay!

However, I've got a problem with regards to the Recycling Bin, it fills up pretty fast with all those papers and I'm supposed to cleaning out the room there are papers everywhere, and it's really a fire hazard. But I can't clean them up without a proper bin, but I'm not sure how often they empty that thing so I might be in a bit of a pickle...Hmm, might need to call maintance.

After putting together the papers from the last three days and then going and getting the contract renewed I headed into the city I was supposed to meet Mum for lunch, unfortunately I ran late as usually so we could only talk for a very short time before Mum had to go back to work....

Then I went to Woolies to get some food for tonight...which shall be fish fingers as it is Ash Wednesday today, which also means I've got to head on down to the church for the service tonight...sure wish I had my Missal though...it's got all the readings and things in it...I like to know what's going on in the service. Besides it gives me something to read ;O)

Also I must go to the Pharmacy to get some medication, but dear me...it might have expired which is a bit of a problem as I don't have anymore of them although I have called up the Doc and hopefully he'll send some in the mail...

However I had quite the scare when I got home, I went to speak to the Apartment Manager and as I was all the power in the building went out! Nuts! You know how I am with these electical appliances of mine! Luckily it only lasted about half an hour and it seems to be back for now and half the suburb had this mini-blackout. Well at least it wasn't someone plugging in a bad appliance because then everyone would have had to unplug all their stuff.

Hmmm, what else is there to report? Haven't heard anything interesting on the news yet, although regarding that kid who drove to the Blockbuster apparently he stood up in the car with his foot on the pedals to get the car going...hmm...well that'd work I guess.

Well, that's about all I have to say re the events of today up to this point...I'm off to read the BTTF Board now :)

Oh yeah and another thing...I finally unfolded the couch bed out...it's a very nice bed...unfortuantely it takes up like half the room and there may not be any rooom for the mattress which begs the question where will my bro sleep when we're both over here? Oh well, we'll have to squeeze 'em in somewhere ;)

Heard on the News: In Virginia baggy pants have been outlawed, due to the obsence sight they bring (and well in defense of the law there's some awful sights one can see!) and if you're found wearing them now you can be fined up to $100! :OD There go the Homeboys...

Hmmm...well that's about all this happened in nearly two hours, but I've just remember that I must call up my friends who are having their birthday in two days and the party in a week so I can figure out what to get 'em. Sad as it is I'm not too good at getting surprise presents, once I had the perfect idea for my Dad, but then I forgot what it was and still can't remember it! Oh, and it's my Dad's birthday next week, and I don't have all that much money yet since they'll be a lag until I'm paid. Oh well, I brought him an Agatha Christie yesterday so that'll do for now, I need to order in the ones I've missed. I forgot to go to the old Newsagency for weeks and they sent all my orders back! :'O( I hope they won't mind calling them back in...because I will buy 'em I wanna know about the crimes.

I'm also trying to figure out what time I have to leave here to get to the church on time, I don't want to leave to early because you know...sitting in a church isn't exactly that much fun also I don't want to be tempted to buy an ice cream or something (it's still rather humid out there) and as previously mentioned that's a big no-no on Ash Wednesday. Which is a bit of a worry because since there was no cereal or bread in the apartment this morning I ate the Tim-Tams...

Ah well...

Also in the News: Another Peace Pact between Israel and Palistine...will it be successful? Will the Sucide Bombers be stopped? Will the Israeli Army stop being so trigger-happy? All of a big interests what with the whole West Bank Question and all. But fingers crossed and here's hoping.

Hmmm, I think I should get going down as I might go by the Pharmacy to get my medicine.

Well, Bummer...

So I get down to the Church in time only to find the doors locked, the service was not on! WTF? (Eh, not the most appropiate place to swear..)

Oh dear, just went to the Website again it's a DIFFERENT St. Josephs' Church...well how was I supposed to know...what a shame! I shall have to conduct a home service by reading my Missal when I get back to my parents place since there doesn't seem to be another church anywhere nearby, at least not any that have a time for an Ash Wednesday Service advertised.

Well, Mum says she won't be able to get to one either, and apparently it's the thought that counts. So now I'm back here cooking my fish fingers and potato (:O) to have with carrot and cucumber...yum! :O) I'm also able to watch Crime Night for the first time on a Wednesday in quite a while and right after it ends the Glasshouse is back! I sure hope it tapes at home properly...for some reason the ABC hasn't been running on time, or at least not by my watch.

Well nuts, my computer table has gone all funny and I have no idea how to fix it properly I think I'll need to bring out the screwdriver to do so, but whenever I use one of those the screw goes rolling away and I can't find it again. That once happened to my glasses when a lens fell out, fortunately it was at my birthday party and all my friends were there to help find it again.

Well the food is ready so I'm off to eat now...

Oh wait never mind, the server just isn't avaliable at the moment, weird...I sure hope the link comes back when it comes back up. I really don't remember if it was ever there.
