It's Raining, It's Pouring...

11:08pm: Well, the weather has decided to make up for lost time in regards to the rain and it's being bucketing down for most of the day. Added to that the temperature has gone low enough that I've put on my new penguin flannel pjs, not to mention put my doona back inside my doona cover. Hopefully, I won't wake wake up too hot some time during the night.
Moving on, I'm sure you all want to know how the Canasta went...well, I was going quite well, in fact I was in the lead! However, M managed to stage an amazing come from behind victory! I'm not gonna lie I was a bit disappointed in myself, but hey, what are you gonna do? :OP
Then it was off to work, which was interesting as aside from me everyone else was a casual employee! I wonder where the other part-timers were? I guess that will always remain a mystery LOL.
I had been planning to go to my parents' church after work, but with rain I decided I was better off going to the church in Mona Vale, especially since Mum had gone to church up in Newcastle - where she was visiting a friend. Once again though the mass went way longer than I'm used to. Although admittedly Palm/Passion Sunday is usually a long one, but it was starting to get dark when I came home and daylight savings hasn't ended yet! I'm so not looking forward to when it does, which I've all ready mentioned, but I think it bears repeating.
In other news, I finished the book I was reading this week, which ostensibly was about the world of figure skating - the cataloguing suggestions on the copyright page even says so! However, I should have paid more attention the blurb, which was much clearer about what the story would become i.e. one of those sad tragic stories about death. Oh...yay. I don't like reading sad stuff...
Anyway, enough about that, I should really try and catch up on meme or two...

Stolen from: Love me some surveys
1. Do you like to see it snowing outside? Seeing as I live in Sydney Australia...no, because that would mean the weather is seriously fucked up.
2. Do you tell your family you love them enough? I think so! Mostly to my parental units, my brothers are harder to get a hold of, even the one that lives here! :OP
3 Do you like getting jewelry or do you not wear any? Except for when I'm swimming (and probably showering - sterling silver doesn't seem to like any water) I wear a necklace with a crucifix and an ice skate. But aside from that I don't really wear jewellery, I do like to make sure it matches. :O)
4. Do you watch a lot of NFL football? Living in Australia it's not really shown here, but even if it was I wouldn't, football's not my thing.
5. Have you ever used the word ‘lame’? I have...I try not to though.
6. Are you/Were you in a band? If so, what was your band name? Ha ha ha ha, oh Hell no, I can't even play a xylophone.
7. When is the last time you went to the doctor? A couple of months ago, although I do need to go back, to see if I need to change the cream I'm using for my face and some other stuff too.
8. Do you own any shirts with a peace symbol on it? No actually...I've got one with a smiley face though.
9. Would you ever go to Japan? I would! If I could get over my worry about flying alone.
10. What was the last thing you went to Walmart for? Don't have a Walmart nearby - there's only one in Sydney.
11. Ever gotten in a car accident? Yes, a couple, although just fender benders with no injuries.
12. Have you ever been in a choir? OMG, that's even more hilarious then the idea I'd be in a band!
13. Do you like the color of your eyes? If not, what color would you want them? They're brown, I've always wanted green eyes though! I wouldn't wear colour contacts to get that though.
14. When was the last time you went ice skating? Funny you should ask! I went last Saturday, there was no time this weekend.
15. Do you like to brush your teeth? I do like the nice clean feeling it gives.
16. Have you ever had a surgery? Yes, when I was really young, I had a twisted bowel.
17. Do you look older or younger than you actually are? Younger for sure.
18. When is the next time you’ll be up on stage? Er never...I get stage fright!
19. Where did you spend your last birthday? On a mini-golf course! Well, technically that was the day before my birthday...on the day itself, I was at ice skating, I think?
20. What is the last show that you watched a full episode of? Tiny House Hunters
21. Do you know anyone who lives in Utah? No...that's pretty random.
22. Is there anything you need to work on doing soon? Getting my ass to bed!
23. Do your feelings get hurt easily? Sniff, yes.
24. Do you, or do you know someone who has taken karate lessons? I do actually! Two people. Or wait that might have been some other form of self-defence...
25. Were you ever a boy or girl scout? I was a Brownie Guide.
Bugger, it's almost midnight and I haven't done my Russian...oh well, too late now!
Goodnight all!
