11:05pm: Or rather I expected something and hence misread. What am I talking about? The ice skating. The plan was to go today straight from work to take advantage of the lunch time special, however, I neglected a few things...firstly that I wouldn't get there before 12:30 and secondly the important fact that the lunch time special session only goes for an hour and a half! So upon my arrival at the Mall, when I thought I had maybe half an hour to skate I in fact had like five minutes! Obviously I didn't skate, because that would have been useless. Seriously though, pain in the ass!

Now I also planned to go to my parents house for dinner tonight, but I thought since I'd gone all that way I may as well wait for the afternoon session and even called to cancel the dinner plans, before realising just how long I'd have to wait. My phone was running low on batteries by then and I couldn't find a power point, so I decided nah I'd head back to Chatswood do my shopping and go tomorrow after work and my library volunteering.

So that's what I did and I was just about to head back to my abode on the bus when I got a call from Mum, I'd planned to call her anyway to see if dinner could be re-instated, before I could ask about that she wanted to know where I was because as it turns out part of her plans for today was going to see the lawyer with Dad about getting me a limited power of attorney to act in their place while they're away on their trip. Mum said I would probably need to sign something and she was on her way to Chatswood so if she could pick me up so we could head off there and then have dinner back at the parental abode that'd be good.

I agreed, but I would have to wait half an hour for Mum to arrive, so I went back to the mall where I managed to locate a power point and at least charge my phone for a little bit as well as read my book. When Mum showed up she said that she needed to do a bit of shopping before we headed off to the lawyers, I though had walked enough for the day so I went and waiting in the car, at least until Mum called to ask me to come and help carrying her purchases.

As for the lawyer, well apparently I didn't need to sign anything in front of him, so that was rather annoying, but it wasn't a totally wasted trip, a Vinnies was in the shopping area and I went there five minutes before they closed hoping to find a green shirt to replace the one that has little holes in it. No luck there, but just before I left I decided to look at the bargain book bin out the front and...one of the Scarpetta novels I didn't have was there! An absolutely pristine copy too, for the bargain price at $2! I worried for a bit that it might actually have been one I all ready have, but nope, so go me! :OD

Plus I also got a delicious spaghetti dinner, so thanks Dad.

However! I also had to write done a whole bunch of stuff because they're going to try and rent out their unit while they're away and obviously I have to know all the ins and outs of light switches and whatnot if it turns out I need to show possible tenants around. Which took quite a while and then I had to wait for Mum to finish watching her show so I didn't get back here to the flat until almost 9:30.

So phew, that was a very long day indeed!

On that note, it's time for me to go to bed because I have to get to work half an hour early tomorrow so really I should have gone to bed before now.
