Living Life Dangerously...
Jun. 14th, 2014 11:11 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
10:04pm: OK, not really, I haven't been sky diving or anything, but I did eat a marinated chicken leg that I made last night, but forgot to put it in the fridge before I went to bed last night. Now was a cold night, but still properly against the food health advisory board rules, I hear though the danger zone is 24 to 40 degrees C, so I should be safe...I damn well hope so!
In other news, I've been so slacking off on going to gym, I meant to do so today but I woke up late this morning, or should I say afternoon because it was almost 12! Do'h! Not that my 9 o'clock alarm didn't wake me, but I just switched it off and went back to sleep, whoops.
But, I did get over here to the parentals and assisted in getting boxes and the steam cleaner for Mum and Dad to take over to the apartment to take care of a few things before the moving man comes tomorrow and the tenants come to get the keys. I didn't go because I was at church, which also went well, except for the priest's microphone dying 3/4's of the way through, whoops! Good thing I sit near the front to do PowerPoint and had my Missal so I could follow!
Sadly, Dad has discovered that the stains in the carpet are not stains, but burnt, so there'll be no fixing it. Damn, how the Hell did that happen? Mum things it might have been a candle or something, still weird, who carries a candle around?
Anyway, not much to report, but since I'm typing on the tablet which doesn't require my thumbs, so let's Meme!

The statements:
1. My prescription is still missing in action, do'h!
2. Do you ever wonder if aliens have come to Earth and just decided to leave us alone?
3. When I relax it's generally in front of the TV because there's nothing like a good show to relax the mind.
4. The one food I only eat at a restaurant is dim sum because I don't know how to make them!
Friday's Question
6/6/2014
Do you talk with your hands?
I do, I think...not so much I'd poke out an eye, but enough that you'd notice. I think I'd especially do it when doing an official speech, which I haven't had to do in forever thankfully, due to nervousness.

Not sure if the 'o' was left out on purpose or not!
1. Roughly how many plastic shopping bags do you think are in your house right now, and which store is represented most by them? Um, hmm, probably about six or seven, rhe bulk been non-descript grey or white plastic ones from Coles or IGA.
2. Roughly how many gift cards do you possess, and about how much are they worth in sum? I have a $20 Coles Group one, which I really must use because it was a Christmas present from the newsagency.
3. What’s an aisle at your favorite grocery store or drugstore that you pretty much never walk down? Probably the 'Natural Food' aisle 'cause it's not really my bag.
4. When you shop for groceries, are you most likely to grab a shopping cart or a shopping basket? To be honest I don't usually purchase enough food so I just carry it in my arms. But if not, I use a shopping basket. How often do you grab neither? And oops somehow I missed the other half of this question, so there you go. LOL.
5. What was the last thing you purchased just in case? In case of what? LOL, I'll say a pack of six pouches of tissues for my bag, because my nose was running like whoa today, not sure if the cold is trying to make a comeback or if it was allergies, I think it was the latter...
The (Other) Friday Five
It's about LJ!
These questions were written by theljstaff.
1. What are the main reasons you use LiveJournal? Well, since they changed the update page to some horribly complicated thing I don't actually use it for updating anymore. However, I go there every day because of the communities.
2. What are the things you love best about us? I used to love you, LJ, we coulda had it all. But, I do like your active communities and my friends.
3. What are the features you like most? Well, the 'expand all' check box option is indeed handy...is that only for paid members though?
4. What makes LiveJournal special to you? Well, I have met many a cool person on it and found all sorts of info and what not.
5. In your opinion, what do we have that other places don't? Active communities, although not as much as it used to be, why'd you change the update and commenting pages? It's a huge pain in the ass to find an icon these days. Also every time there's a layout change it just seems to be headache inducing. They did bring back the subject titles back at least...
Saturday 9
:Oh! My Papa (1954):
1) Eddie Fisher starred in a popular 1950s TV show, which was sponsored by Coca Cola. Do you have a favorite soft drink? No, ever since I pretty much got the whole contents of a soft drink up my nose when I was a kid, that but me right off for years and when I tried it again many years later I hated the taste.
2) He was notorious for leaving his famous first wife for his very famous second wife. Can you name either of the women involved in this Hollywood scandal? No, never even heard of this guy,
3) His oldest daughter, Carrie Fisher, is best known as Princess Leia from Star Wars. Are you a sci-fi fan? Really, get out of town! Anyway, yes, I am...sort of...not of Star Wars, but of Back to the Future and Spaceballs :O)
4) Since Sam's father is particular about his footwear and likes "a good pair of Cole Haan loafers," her Father's Day present to him is a DSW gift card. If we were to give you a gift card to any store or restaurant, which would you choose? Hmm, oh! EB Games so I can pre-order Sims 4 with the USB Plumbob! It's $119 and I can't justify spending that much!
5) Sam's father hates it when she swears. When is the last time your cursed? Pft, probably two seconds ago, but in all seriousness, it was definitely a couple of hours ago, my parents laughed though. :O)
6) Sam's father is a voracious reader. So much so that the local librarian knows him on sight and by name. How often do you visit your neighborhood library? I do love to visit libraries! And the people from Mosman still remember me, but I did work there.
7) "A good used car is a better investment than a new car." That's what Sam's dad tells her when she's in the market for wheels. Share some other words of financial wisdom with us. Whatever you do, don't get a high interest short-term loan to cover another loan!
8) Every car her father has ever owned had a pro-union bumper sticker. Do you have any bumper stickers on your vehicle? Don't have a vehicle, so no. My father has a cool collection of bumper stickers on one of his guitar cases.
9) To celebrate Father's Day, Sam is giving away her father's favorite candy: LifeSavers. Would you prefer a roll of Wild Cherry, Butter Rum, Winter Green or Peppermint? Don't you have 'Musk'? 'Cause that's the one I want...I guess failing that 'Wild Cherry'.
Right and that's all I have to say for now. Tomorrow will be busy, but I'm determined to get to the gym, although I'm going to check out the Harboard Diggers Club, because apparently it has a gym with a pool (and a sauna!) so I'm gonna check the prices out there.
For now though, it's off to surf the net a bit more!
Goodnight all!
