10:06pm: So, there's this Aussie political/court room drama on the ABC on Thursday nights, which I've taken to watching for the last couple of weeks and man was this week a weird one! For one thing one of the actors who is playing a pedophile used to present the children's show Play School. Awkward, man, just awkward.

Further to this tonight's episode featured like three occasions of people telling their colleagues/superiors/employees to "Fuck off". Shit, son, you can't do that...at least not if you want to have a good working relationship. That what led to the end of my job with my grandparents friends, and much awkwardness.

In other news I just remembered that there's this new air crash investigation show on GEM - for a second it looked like a bit of a rip off of Air Crash Investigation - the original and the best - but no it's more a compilation of crashes and incidents with a similar theme. Interesting! Although I've missed half an hour of it. Boo.

And it seems a theme now that if your plane is in trouble fuck the rules and just switch on your mobile phone and send a message. Which is actually a point of interest that my father bought up regarding the Malaysian Air flight, that is no mobile messages were sent, but I think it might be because it was in the middle of the Indian Ocean and I don't think there's reception there. Speaking of the flight, there was a lot of hope yesterday when more pings were heard, but today they've gone silent :O( They seem to be in the general area of the crash location, but in an area that big they could be searching for years before finding anything. :O(

And today, I went to visit my father, which was nice since I'd left so quickly last night after the throwing up incident, I bought him along a bag of smoked almonds, his favourite. I also bought him a box of flowers, not quite the sort Mum recommended, but Dad liked it and when Mumwent and visited him this evening she liked them too. Yay!

Dad was in much better spirits today and showed me the rather kick-ass TV/laptop/telephone/radio thing in the room and picking his meals from the menu (private hospitals are classy, LOL!). I spent about half an hour with him, so that was good. :O) Mum had suggested I talke the car, but since I bought that weekly bus ticket I figured I'd might as well use it, also it made getting to Aldi on the way back. So I have cheese cubes again! A mousse! Yummy. :O)

Right...nothing much else to report so - Meme!

Booking Through Thursday

Does the price of a book affect your decision about buying it? Do you wait for cheaper editions of books you want?

It does indeed! Especially since prices for books in Australia are utterly insane, it's like $45 for a hard-back and almost $30 for a paper back! I mean it's cheaper to buy from overseas despite the postage! And now I'm unemployed it's even more important for me to save, so I go to those Discount Bookshops or Second Hand Bookshops generally, or borrow from the library, which saves money and space.

Hmm, this air crash show is of interest because they have different actors re-enacting the scenes, bit of a mind screw. Also they're talking about that British Airways flight where the window screen blew out (the maintenance dude put the wrong bolts in) and almost took the captain with it! O.o The co-pilot landed the plane with two stewards clinging to the captain's legs to keep him from flying out and when the ambulance guys went to take the captain away they discovered him alive! Amazing stuff! And the Captain fully recovered and returned to work about two months later. It's nice to have a happy ending.

And on that note, I shall be off, those stupid leaf blowers were out again this morning, so I didn't get all my necessary zzzs.

I bid you all, goodnight!
