10:18pm: Right so they keep showing the ice skating at times when I'm in bed, or in the case of replays when I'm out during the day. Fortunately, there's an app for that!

So I'm watching the Pairs Figure Skating Short Program and imagine my surprise when I see that the thing is 3 hours long, even though there's 20 couples that seems like quite a lot...However I've just found out why...they left in the bit where the Zambonis come out to clean the ice! A process which took some twenty minutes! LMAO What the Hell? In the stadium itself they replayed the open ceremony for the spectators, but we couldn't see the screens the way the cameras were shooting for TV coverage. And the commentators aren't talking so I'm just sitting here waiting...Primarily because the app is a bit iffy and I don't want to try skipping the video forward anymore (I think I got halfway through the Zamboni smoothing process) than I have, then back then forward in case it crashes.

Although...the Zambonis have been off the ice for a few minutes now...and no sign of any skaters on the ice warming up. Decides to risk a leap forward...ah there we go.

Hmm, I hope this isn't eating my bandwidth, someone's moving into the apartment after all and it'd be pretty embarrassing if after everything Mum and I told them last night there's not even 2Gb to be had.

Anyway, I am reminded I need to apply to that job, and also do my laundry, the basket is almost full and I want to have nice clean clothes to take back to the parentals after all. I'm about to run out of white socks again!

And that's pretty much all I have to say for now, I should continue packing up my cupcake supplies, I have a box after all!

Before that though, Meme!

Snow Day

For most of the east coast, at least, it’s a wintry, snowy day today, so … How do you like to spend your snow days? Feel free to gloss over the obligatory parts like shoveling unless you LIKE it. We’re talking ideal, best way to spend a snow day kind of thoughts, here.
For those of you who live in places where snow days simply don’t happen? Feel free to substitute “snow” with “rain” and think about the kind of days when you just want to cuddle up inside where it’s warm and dry.

Well, I live in Australia and whilst there is snow, it hardly shows up in Sydney, in fact I believe the last time there was even so much as a sprinkle here was back in the 70s. As for rain...well, there's been an attempt by the clouds to rain the last few days, but yeah, not much doing.

Anyway, to answer your question, which is not restricted to books...well, as a boring person it's not all that different to how I spend my regular days! Although usually if it's sunny I do go out for a walk or something, so that doesn't happen, unless I'm getting serious cabin fever in which case out comes the umbrella!

Oh and exciting news, Australia has won its first medal in the Olympic Games! A silver in the Half Pipe! Which brings me to a question, they called it the Ladies Half-Pipe...but it's not called the Gentlemen's Half-Pipe, what's up with that. I can feel all the English teachers thinking...Ladies and Gentlemen or Men's and Women's you can't mix that shit up.

And finally the Men's Skiing Slopestyle is on...and these guys sure like to go backwards...what's up with that? Something about bad knees? It's amusing indeed.

And now Roy and HG are on so off to watch that!

Goodnight all!
