11:37pm: So I got together with my friends after work today after all! Although we didn't end up going up to the lighthouse because the only way to get up there is a 25 minute walk and it was indeed hot as Hell today. Also there were a lot of flies...A LOT! Like outback Australia amounts of flies, they were everywhere! I can't remember the last time I've been around so many of them, it was very annoying and one went up my nose a bit and left me all sniffly.

Also I couldn't go swimming, which was also a shame and I was quite bummed to discover when I got home that despite having put on sunscreen my upper forearms were a bit burnt. Damn! I could have sworn I paid attention to that area. :O( I guess not.

Anywho, while my friends (one of whom is a friend of Ben's who I just met, but is cool) I stood in the water up to my shins though, which was very nice since it was such a hot day! I attempted to make a seal in the sand, but it ended up looking more like a beached whale! I did make a sand castle too but I haven't loaded that photo on my laptop yet and I don't really have time now because II need to get my butt to bed!

Once we finished swimming we all made a dash for the showers at the surf club and Ben's friend was nice enough to get us some ice cream while Ben went and got the car, which we had ended up parking quite a distance away - near where the lighthouse is.

And, time's getting away from me, so I better wrap this up, but I'm pleased to report I finally got off my butt and went down to Aldi and got my cheese (among other things) although I left it quite late and most of the other shops were closed so I couldn't buy anything for my secret Santa, whoops. Gotta get onto that soon!

For now though, it's bed time!

11:13pm: Indeed! I'm now 31, eek!

But in all seriousness, a very good day was had, birthday pizza lunch with friends, then later after church, birthday dinner (lasagna) with the parental units and the little bro.

And I got some amazing presents! I need to take pictures, but there's one in particular I'm sure crossover_chick will be interested in! :O) And my parents were nice enough to get me some little gifts even though I didn't really expect anything after the really nice dress, handbag and purse I got from them on Christmas.

In other news, my sunburn has decided to get itchy now, craaap, I can't scratch it since I'm sure that will lead to discomfort and whatnot.

I'm at my parents place right now, which means I can finally get on Tumblr because their internet isn't throttled like mine, which is why I've waited until now to update! Also Mum and I are watching tennis, there's doubles going on, and let me just say, did no-one get the memo? You're supposed to match! Look to the Bryan brothers people, look to the Bryan brothers.

And that's pretty much all I have to say about that.

9:30pm: From the beach alas, my friends and I had a great time, even though I ended up getting caught in a wave that practically dumped me in the sand, which led to me being covered in it. Despite taking two showers it's still clinging on, WTF?

As for the sunburn, well I didn't realise I had been so, I applied the sunscreen before I left this morning, but I forgot to put it on again when I finished swimming. We were only there for about half an hour after that, but it is summer. :O( Anyway, my person looked fine until I got back here to the Granny Flat, where I realised my arms were red, also my chest and because my swimsuit is low cut the top of my boobs too! Oh and my back, damn. Later on I found that my right hip area was also burned, but not the left, which is the only sunburnt area that hurts, so thank God for small favours.

All the same, this is a major bummer, now I'm going to look weird when I wear my dress at my birthday party on Saturday, unless it fades by then, I'm not sure how it takes. Not to mention, every sunburn you get increases your chance of getting cancer! I probably don't need to be too worried about that, but it's no good that these last few years I've got sunburnt, I never used to.

But anyway, that aside, it was a fun time and we went back to one of my friends places for lunch, which was delicious. There was desert too, home made sorbet and a mango cake!

With so much eaten I didn't have dinner tonight - well except for a carrot and some cucumber.

In other news, Mum's friends down in the main house seem to have missed paying their Foxtel bill because now we can only get six channels in addition to the free-to-air ones. This sucks quite a bit, I've only managed to discover two of the six channels left, and neither of those are the CI Network or UKTV. Damn, I hope they pay it soon without me having to remind them, because that'd be kind of awkward...

Anyway, I feel I should do some Memes, but which ones...

Well, one edition of the Sunday Stealing I've missed, sometimes they have a lot of questions and right now the Fed-Ex is playing at the Brisbane International. He's playing against an Aussie, but it's FED-EX! Go Fed-Ex!

Oh no, it's 4-4 first set and it's a deuce, I hate deuce.

Oh wait, now it's 5-4, but still on serve. Oh wait now the Aussie has set point! GULP! Come on Fed, keep on keeping on.
