not_a_clotpole (that name will make no sense to those who don't watch the show). But yes I'm going to set him loose and see what trouble he can get himself into.
In other news, I went to the airport to pick up my father, I left after checking the airport website and seeing that his plane had come in. I tried to call him when I got to said airport to find out where to pick him up, but by the time I finally got through to him...he was on the train going home! Apparently Mum was supposed to send me a text telling me that I didn't need to come after all. But yeah she kind of forgot that so I could up at 5:45am and drove to the airport for nothing!
Or maybe not for nothing I suppose...I was a lot calmer this time around, fingers crossed then.
In other news I need to clean my room and the kitchen...
The Saturday Six
1. You order takeout from a favorite restaurant. You’re at the counter paying for your dinner by credit card and the host hands you the charge slip that includes a blank for a tip. Do you leave one for takeout?
Uh...probably not, but that's because in Australia people are generally paid enough to get by without tips.
2. You’re having dinner at a restaurant you’ve never visited before and you receive poor service, a wrong item on your plate and you have an inattentive waiter. Do you leave a tip anyway, or would you leave nothing?
I probably would...as long as the stuff wasn't inedible or something.
3. You’re under the weather and you decide to make a doctor’s appointment: how likely are you to search the web for your symptoms and walk in with your own diagnosis already in hand (or in mind)?4. You see a drug ad on television promoting a “miracle cure” for a condition you know you have. How likely are you to contact your doctor and ask about that specific medication?
I'd probably forget to bring it up for aaages, but I'd probably get around to it eventually because Irritable Bowel can really suck.
5. A cell phone company sells you a phone that fails to do something you feel is basic. They advertise a money-back guarantee, but the fine print says there’s a $35 “restocking fee” for returning the phone. How much are you likely to fight that charge because of the phone’s inability to do what you need it to do?
What's a restocking fee anyway? Sounds like when you get an invoice from a solicitor that includes $25 for photocopying!
I don't know if I'd be able to fight the charge, but I'd sic my mother on them, she's could at stuff like that, LOL!
6. You decide to buy a new computer, and there are two computer stores in town: one has low prices and an almost-absent sales floor staff, and the other has higher prices but very friendly, helpful staffers. You decide to get information from the well-informed staff at the more expensive store. If you knew you could save 25% or so by going to the cheaper store, how likely would you be to buy from the more expensive store that gives you better service?
Oooo, that's a pretty lame thing to do (it's not like you did most of the research yourself!)...I'd check to see if the people at the better store could give me a bit of a discount, but I'd still buy it from them because that's just rude.

Not wearing any shoes, I have the beginnings of an ingrown toenail and I wish to avoid aggravating it.

It's a man's watch, I got it from Dad because I'm too cheap to get a new one. I did have to get another watch band for it because the one I originally got was too small and it kept coming off!

It was from Mum asking if Dad got home all right.
