9:18pm: While I was driving to the cinema this afternoon I took my glasses off to give them a clean and discovered that at some point the right nose pad has disappeared so the thing that holds it in is digging into the side of my nose. Which really pisses me off. Plus I have no idea where I lost it...I guess the screw must have become loose.

Mum assured me though that I'll be able to get it fixed quickly, I hope she's right because I don't have my old pair with me and even if I did they're no longer strong enough and give me headaches.

Anywho, about the movie, it didn't have subtitles in it, I must have misread. We also went to the 6:10 showing at the Roseville Cinema and Mum was late so we missed the first few minutes of it, which I think might have been sort of important. It was an odd movie actually, not the best I've seen Colin Firth act. He was much better in the Bridget Jones films in my opinion.

Still, it was a good movie and not obscenely long as some are these days. It was interesting to see Helen Hunt after all these years, she looks pretty much the same, although interestingly enough she didn't wear any makeup during the film. First actress (or actor for that matter) I've heard who's done that!

Moving on, I just got a review for my fanfic which is highly confusing...I have no idea what the person is talking about. They've reviewed before and usually I can make sense of what they're getting at... I guesss English isn't their first language or something.

Friday Fill-In

1. Idle hands are the devil's playthings...that's the saying at least, not sure if I believe that. Waste of time maybe.

2. I love listening to the radio in the shower. (I can't do this in my parents house, which is rather disappointing.

3. My favorite time of the day is when I get to work on my stories, watch a good TV program or read a good book.

4. The last tea I drank was never. (Don't like tea.)

5. I like to go swimming in the Summer.

6. My mother always said "Life isn't fair." Which always annoyed the crap out of me frankly, that doesn't mean you should just sit back and take that.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to going to bed actually (I'm tired!), tomorrow my plans include going to M and Grandpa's and playing Canasta and Sunday, I want to finishing cleaning my apartment, this I vow!

Friday Fun

The All-About-You Edition

1. So, baby, what’s your sign?

Capricorn, but I'm so totally not one. Cautious, quiet my ass!

2. If you could live in any part of your country, with money no object, where would you live? In the world?

In my country, where I am now, I never wanted to move to Sydney, but I rather like living here now. In the world, I wouldn't mind hanging out in New York for a while, not sure if I'd like it, but it'd be cool to find out.

3. What is your biggest guilty pleasure?

Cheese! I eat way too much of it, but it's so yummy!

4. Do you have any hobbies? What is your favorite? Is there one you want to try?

I can't imagine someone not having any hobbies, that would suck. Anywho, I have a few and my favourite would be writing. As for one I want to try...I wouldn't mind making a few dolls, but I've got enough crap in my apartment all ready.

5. If you were to take a single college class right now, just for fun, what would you want to learn about?

Publishing! You gotta start somewhere.

6. When it comes to shopping at the mall, what is your downfall?

Nothing really, I try not to spend too much money, if anything it would be chocolate, I ususally buy some of that.

7. It is Friday night. What are you doing?

This meme! ;OP

Friday's Feast

Appetizer

When you drink soda/pop/coke, do you prefer to drink it from the bottle, a can, or after pouring it into a cup?

I don't drink fizzy drinks, I hate the taste. It always seems sour to me, sugar content be damned.

Soup

What television show are you willing to stay up late to watch?

None really, at least on week nights because I know if I do I'll be tired! On the weekends I might stay up, but generally the shows I watch repeat themselves so I'll either watch 'em when they come back on or set a tape

Salad

Name one person, place, or thing you think of as brilliant.

Hmmm...I think the Sydney Uni Library is brilliant, except for the fact I can't afford to become a member.

Main Course

Would you be willing to work 4 10-hour days instead of 5 8-hour days in order to save gas?

I dunno...one of my co-workers asked this question of me once (though the reason for it didn't have to do with petrol) and I wasn't sure. I mean three day weekends would be good (or an extra day off sometime during the week at least), but I find it hard to concentrate for 8 hours, slap another two in and I'd probably go a bit nuts. But I guess I'd try it out and see how I went.

Dessert

If you were a superhero, what would you call yourself?

SupaNews!. Ahem...I guess The Moose, it's got a nice ring to it.

Annoyances

1. What’s something people do in public that really annoys you, even though it’s probably not a big deal?

Drag their feet while wearing thongs (flip-flops). That sound it drives me absolutely mad, I can't bear it! But I'd hardly say so, instead I just pick up the pace to get away from them.

2. How readily do you ask strangers to stop their annoying behavior?

Never, I'm too scared they'd get mad and try and beat me up or something.

3. What’s something you do in public that probably annoys others?

Not walk in a straight line, I don't do it on purpose, but I tend to kind of move in a diagonal manner then realise I'm doing it and correct course. When I walk with friends or family I sometimes almost run them off the footpath!

4. What’s your theory about why it’s so easy to get annoyed when one is behind the wheel of a vehicle?

Well, you feel protected by the vehicle, also you probably paid a bit to get it and keep it on the road, so you feel entitled. Plus you want to get where you're going and there are people in the way!

5. What regular, minor annoyance have you learned to tolerate?

To be honest I can't think of one...if I find something annoying, I'll be annoyed.

Damn, I just realised that I forgot to bring my swimmers with me - there's a heated pool at the retirement complex where my grandparents live. Do'h.

In other news, I is tired, I may turn in unusually early for me on a Friday, which is probably a good thing as I want to get to M and Grandpa's relatively early tomorrow.

With that, I shall bid you all goodnight.
