11:37pm: OK that's a totally lame subject heading that I've put up purely for the below reason:
I've bolded the ones I've read in bold and italised the ones I've read parts of.
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
The Bible ("Time readlly flies when you're reading...The BIBLE?! Ewww...")
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by JRR Tolkien (Too Long, Didn't Read...)
1984 by George Orwell
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (Tried to read this one, got bored.)
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (Heh, heh that Mr. Darcy...)
All Quite on the Western Front by E M Remarque
His Dark Materials Trilogy by Phillip Pullman
Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
The Lord of the Flies by William Golding (Shit, I hated this book sooo damn much!)
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon
Tess of the D'urbevilles by Thomas Hardy
Winnie the Pooh by AA Milne
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Graham
Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
The Prophet by Khalil Gibran
David Copperfield by Charles Dickens
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov
Life of Pi by Yann Martel
Middlemarch by George Eliot
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Alexander Solzenhitsyn
Now all that's left to do is hopef for the day when my book will be on that list...LOL, one can always dream can't they? ;O)
Well tomorrow is New Year's Eve! I can' believe it! I've still got to decide what to do...I guess I'll leave that too tomorrow.
Saturday Six
1. Compared to 2006, was 2007 better or worse for you?
Better, since I didn't have the stress of not having a full time job, which was really a huge pain in the ass.
2. Take the quiz: How did your year rate?
This quiz doesn't really work for me, because I'd stay for just abouot every question it's about the same this year as last year.
3. What moment do you remember as being the most emotional for you of 2007?
My parents returning home from their big trip overseas! Sniff!
4. Do you feel that you accomplished any major goals during the year?
Well, I got a job and that's areally big one.
I still haven't cleaned my room yet though, so that's a failed bigass goal I'm sorry to say.
5. Compared to your feelings last December, are you more or less optimistic going into 2008?
Dunno...I really haven't got a big aim in 2008, so I don't know weather to be optomistic about it or not.
6. Take one more quiz: Will you keep your new year’s resolution?
Well considering I don't really have any resolutions, this is quite accurate, but there was no option for that.
Situation Sunday
Situation # 1
1} Your boss, who has done everything in the book to tick every one off at one time or another in a office of 7 people presents you with with a Birthday card.....as you open it it is a used card that was presented to her on her last birthday. Her name is crossed out and replaced by your name.......What do you do or say?
To be honest, I'd probably crack up laughing, I mean seriously! That is the lamest attempt I've ever seen, a decent person would have at least used white-out! Dumbass.
2} You have no issues with being White, Mexican, Polish or black or yellow. Your boss who is black and dealing with 7 co workers at times, that are white....you notice that they say to another worker " You apple pie people." You remain silent and the person that it is said to laughs it off. The holidays rolls around and the boss says I am going to bring some culture to you all....and serves you a dinner of fried chicken and collard greens. Do you feel that this is racism, and if so what do you do?
Huh? I'm confused... This isn't very clearly laid out. It seems kind of racist to suggest black people only eat fried chicken and greens...But then again, it's probably a decent meal, I'd have no objections.
3} The bank in your neighborhood has been robbed. They caught the guy running out of the park by your house. No money was found on him.
They searched the area for days and no loot was found. You are out walking your dog....he wanders off the path and you go after him.....He starts digging in the woods and unearths the loot from the bank robbery......no one is around.....what do you do?
Well turn it in obviously! How am I supposed to explain away how I got that much money?! Besides, it's the right thing to do, and I'll probably get a reward for turning it anyway. Honesty always pays. :O)
