Oh Shit...
Dec. 13th, 2007 10:37 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
8:58pm: I've just wasted $13! At least I think I have.
After the success with the black ink cartridge I finally got around to buying a refill for the colour one. However, I think I must have made a mistake because the blue won't work! The yellow and red is fine, but there's no blue!
Now I don't know what to do...it's not like I can return the product now having used it and all. Geeze...a new cartridge costs about $40, and if I buy a new one that'll be a total cost of $55! You can buy an entire new printer (which will probably be better than this old one) for a little more than that! OK maybe not, but you know what I mean.
There's definitely blue ink in the cartridge though because I got it all over my hands and I don't think it's in the wrong hole, so what's the deal with that?
This sucks, I was hoping to print off my Christmas cards... :O(
The best laid plans of Moose and Men indeed...
Whoops, I feel rather dumb, I just checked something on Google, and you're supposed to let the cartridge sit for a while. Duh! Well, I'll go and do that, and see if it makes the blue ink work.
Take the first sentence (or 2) from the first post of each month of 2007. That's your year in review.
January - 12:35pm: 2007...wow...
Now usually I would have updated about my night once I got home from the fireworks, but my parents called me up asking me to come meet them where they'd left the car so I could drive them home.
Febuary - 10:01pm: Today is George III's father's birthdate!
March - 12:08am: I forgot to update last night, instead I went to bed at an early time for me, although it turned out to be a big ass waste of time because I ended up waking up at 2am and not being able to get back to sleep until 4!
April - 10:31am: A cruel, cruel April Fools Joke...since my report on the M&M issue on Friday the digestive system has remained in a state of pain.
May - 9:25pm: Seriously! For some reason it was election day and everyone has to vote in Australia and usually you just head on down to the local Polling Place.
June - 11:00pm: So somehow my bosses found out I've been stuffing around on the net while they were away from work, I mean I know I shouldn't have, but half the time it was on those assignments...well OK mostly on looking for cars and stuff...that I'm not even getting after all.
July - 10:11pm: I've decided that with the last Harry Potter coming out and the fact that my reading material lately hasn't been great literal works that I shall re-read the books, not sure if I can get through them all, but what the hey.
August - 10:14pm: Ah shit, I should be in bed all ready, I've had a pretty crappy day, thinking that I must have a cold indeed, but now I really don't know...It could have more to do with that time o' the month, and just the stress of the last few days with the car thing.
September - 10:46pm: And as a jock it's my responsibilty to pickon the nerds.
It's true! I took the Nerd Test:
October - 10:05pm: I should be ashamed of myself 'cause I did bugger all today, except go for a short walk in the afteroon.
November - 9:36pm: Well, because I don't have a car and have to see the pyschiatrist tomorrow I should head to bed pretty soon 'cause I'm going to need to get up at 6:30am to make sure I don't run late.
December - 8:41 am: Are fire alarms and fire trucks.
Last night, I got caught up with reading some books on the net and didn't get to bed until nearly 2am. But that was OK I figured because it's Saturday and I can sleep in.
Does that say anything about me? Except that I've taken to heart George III's habit of noting the time whenever I write anything, except I've taken it to a new level by putting time time I start as well as finish.
Also, there's a lot of aches and pains going on.

Someone Elses' Wishes
You have been granted 3 wishes! However, you have to use your wishes on 3 separate people. Who would you choose, what would you wish for them, and why?
I wish that the little bro could get his act together!
I wish my parents mortgage and whatnot was paid off. ('Cause that's always nice, to be debt free!)
I wish my grandmother could work in the garden again (she has athritis and she loved to garden)
Booking Through Thursday
Catalogue
Do you use any of the online book-cataloguing sites, like Library Thing or Shelfari? Why or why not? (Or . . . do you have absolutely no idea what I’m talking to?? (grin))
If not an online catalog, do you use any other method to catalog your book collection? Excel spreadsheets, index cards, a notebook, anything?
I use online library catalogues, but I don't have a system here at home, which I probably should have because I have no idea where some of my books are, and I could really use some of them right now.
I wouldn't use those online cataloguing websites because what would happen if you couldn't get online? That'd be a bit of a waste.
Thursday Threesome
::'Tis the Season!::
Onesome: 'Tis-- Hmmm... More or less an older contraction? Do you have any semi-archaic words you use regularly? (Yes, Laurie, "allegro" would qualify...)
No, although I have been using no contractions while writing my George III story because people seriously didn't in those days, sure helps when you're doing NaNO I must say, LOL!
Twosome: the-- heck you say? Okay, how about a 'regional' saying you're known to be fond of? You know, the one the relatives just don't get when you say it on the phone... Sure, slang will work!
Well, the ol' Aussie stables, Mate...Lammo, a bluey. Gotta love the Australian slang, it's quite hilarious.
Threesome: Season--ings for the season? Mulled cider? Peppermint bark? Apple pie? What do you look forward to in the Winter months?
I hate seasoning...because I'm a picky eater I suppose. And it's not winter here, it's going into Summer, which I'm quite happy about because I hate being cold.
Yikes it's after 10:30pm, so I better get to bed.
Which reminds me, the curse of The Sims 2 has come to my computer! I couldn't get it to work last night, it kept telling me I didn't have DirectX installed. I don't believe it's the game though, like I said my laptop is getting on and it's possible it's got to do with that. Still it's an arse, I guess I'll use this time to get all my Sim family posts up to date.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Good night to you all.
