Mysterious Money Loss!
Dec. 9th, 2007 10:25 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
9:36pm: I've been working on my Budget trying to balance everything, but even though I've checked all my reciepts and bank statements, $588.16 is unaccounted for! $243 in cash alone, which I somehow doubt I spent in giving to the church plate every Saturday at Church. Where has all this money gone? I'm especially confused in the case of the missing Visa/Eftpos money because I have all my bank statements to hand and have ticked everything. So seriously, what's with all that?
Well, anyway I'm watching one of those 7 Up programs, you know where the interview some kids when they're 7, then come back and interview them when they're 14 and so on in 7 year increments (hence the titles of the shows). This one is 21 Up and its about kids in Japan. Very intriguing! I thought they had only done one of these for Britian, which is up to like 48 years. How weird is that? Those people have a really cool record of growing up! I kind of have that because I starting writing stories down when I was 8 and had a journal when I was 16 and now I'm almost 24 and I've got my LJ. As far as I can tell though, I haven't changed at all LOL! This is particularly funny because while I was hanging out with my friend
bookscorpion today she told me I was the most 'adult' of my friends, what with my own apartment and full time job and car and stuff.
Seriously though, if I'm the most adult of the group its a sad indictment on my friendship group, LOL!
In other news, I finally update
mooseys_sims, but not with stuff I just finished playing, but stuff from months and months ago, I'm a bad Simmer... But there's a very interesting expansion pack coming out, that's going to allow even more hobbies for the Simmies and more interactions for tots and kids, the former is particularly interesting, because the tots don't do much...they can't intearct with each other (unless it's to steal bottles from each other), so more interactions for that wold be cool.
Well...this kid in Japan sure knows how to plan ahead, applying for jobs before she's finished her degree. This is what I should have done, so I wouldn't have been unemployed for a whole year!
In regards to the cleaning up...well I had some major fail trying to clean the shower, I put the Demostos all over the place because I hadn't cleaned it in a while, but I put too much of it and now the bathroom reeks of bleach. I hope that's not really dangerous, because its only a small studio apartment. I've opened the glass door so it doesn't smell so bad.
As for the rest of the place, still fail, although the little hallway type thing to my door is now clear so I don't have to dance around to get out. But the main room area is still a total wreck! I may be brave enough to take a pic though and upload it when I've finally cleaned up the place so we can see 'Before' and 'After' shots.

1. Best Friend...you answer?:
Oooh, that's a tougie I have more than one best friend,
bookscorpion, Ben and Zep come to mind immediately, though.
2. Year End...you answer?:
Oh no, I'm getting oooolder!
3. Did Not Attend...you answer?:

4. Extend...you answer?:
Heh heh, you said extend. ;O)
Sat-8
::Moving::
1. When was the last time you moved from one home to another?
About September 2006, when I moved into the studio apartment and my parents and I made arrangements for me to pay it off.
2. When was the last time you moved at work?
Well, I left my job at the filing place for my current job, a good move since I probably would have ended up with some serious RSI if I hadn't.
3. Have you ever had any problems with a hired mover?
Nope, except perhaps for the hired movers who parked really close to my car the other week and set up a ramp thing directly over said car! If they'd dropped something I would have been stuffed!
4. One day at work, I was given less than 24 hours to move my desk. What was the shortest amount of time you've had to move in?
I was given five freaking minutes by a certain employer! Seriously, when I think about it, it pisses me off and makes me rather angry. Is it just me, or is that totally weak?
5. In your house, what would be the hardest item to move and why?
Well, the TV cabinet thing would be pretty damn hard. It's the heaviest thing in here I'm sure.
6. At your office/work, what would be the hardest item to move and why?
The desk, because it's a huge desk and I think it might be bolted to the wall.
7. If you had to move at work, describe your perfect office location (Guinness taps optional!).
Well, I work from the boss's house so the office is very nice and comfortable, I don't think I'd want to move from there! Maybe to a library or something.
8. If you had to move your home, describe your perfect home location. Good schools? Pub withing staggering-home distance?
What's with all the pub talk? Anywho, I'd like I slightly bigger apartment, with two bedrooms so I could have a library to put all my books and crap in. That would really help me out I think...or I might just get messier and messier. Oh dear.
Saturday Six
1. You have to leave a snack for Santa, but you’re concerned about his health so you don’t want to leave sweets: what healthier snack would you choose instead?
Hmmm...I'd leave him a fruit platter, grapes, watermelon and mandarin. Yum!
2. Santa decides to be especially generous this year, and says he’ll bring you a car. What make and model would you like to find in your driveway on Christmas morning?
Ooh wow! Well I've all already got a car, so Santa can take mine to my parents, I think they'd like a Honda Accord Hybrid, probably in silver or something.
3. Santa is also giving you a vacation to any spot in the world for a week. Where would you like to go?
Wow! What fun! I'd definitely go to New York for my birthday!
4. Take the quiz: What will be in your Christmas stocking?
A puppy...oh crap...well maybe y boss's will like it.
5. When was the last time you had a picture taken with Santa Claus?
Gee, it would have been a long long time ago, before I was 10!
6. If Santa could bring you 12 of any single item mentioned in the lyrics of “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” which gift would you choose and why?
Hmm let's see...I guess...a gold ring, because that's the only thing that will fit in the studio. Maybe I could hock it on Ebay for some moneys.
Situation Sunday
Situation #1
You are enjoying a nice lazy summer afternoon. Your nearest neighbor is around 4 miles away. Everyone that could be at your house are all gone. You decide to go take a nap out in the hammock. As you slowly come awake you hear a low growl. You open your eyes and there is a pack of coyotes surrounding you and the house.........What do you do?
Well, I'm think I'd be pretty dead...the only hope I'd have would be to climb the tree the hammock is attached to and hope I had my mobile phone with me so I could call the cops!
Situation #2
As you are driving down the interstate, (95) You think to your self Thank God it is not that busy you can make great time. As this on coming car passes you and starts to get back in your lane, you tap your brakes a little,, and then you notice they are not working.....as you try again to tap them, your foot goes straight to the floor......What do you do.
Well, shit I sure hope there's an emergency brake lane on this freeway! We have them in Australia, but I don't know if they have those in the US...I suppose I could try to find somewhere that inclines so I could start driving up it enough to slow myself down. And pray to God of course.
Situation #3
As the holidays approach every one is having a party. Your boss has invited you too a party she is giving. You clearly can tell that most of the time the boss is a complete Bitch to you, Do you go to her party . Every one else from the office shall be there. What do you do?
Well, I better go! For all I know the boss is planning a peace offering of some sort, plus I'm sure with everyone thre she won't be too awful! I can make sure to hide in the corner so she doesn't notice me much.
